
Al Marar leads UAE delegation to 164th session of GCC Ministerial Council Meeting
KUWAIT (WAM) Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, led the UAE delegation to the 164th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council Meeting, held in the State of Kuwait.The session concluded with a final statement outlining recent updates on joint GCC initiatives, regional and global political developments, and the GCC's position on files of mutual interest. It also reaffirmed the GCC's unwavering position on Iran's occupation of the three UAE islands: Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa.
Furthermore, the statement underscored the importance of strengthening the GCC partnerships with countries and organizations at the international level, maintaining dialogue, and enhancing strategic relations between the GCC countries and nations as well as regional and international organisations.

They also lauded the ongoing negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Indonesia, with hopes of finalizing the deal soon.
