Mandala Murders, created and co-directed by Gopi Puthran with Manan Rawat, is based on the novel The Butcher of Benaraz. Set in the fictional town of Charandaspur, Uttar Pradesh, the series mixes mystery, supernatural horror, and psychological thrills. It follows detectives Rea Thomas and Vikram Singh as they unravel ritualistic killings linked to a cult and a mythical entity called Yast.
The show stars Vaani Kapoor, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Surveen Chawla, Raghubir Yadav, and Shriya Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles. Across eight episodes, it explores intense themes like faith versus science and love versus sacrifice — combining gritty police drama with eerie occult intrigue.

Ahaan Panday was all smiles as he greeted the paparazzi on Tuesday night following the roaring box office success of his debut film Saiyaara. The young actor, dressed in a blue hoodie and denim, was initially seen wearing a white mask. However, at the paparazzi's repeated requests, Ahaan sweetly pulled it down, flashing a warm smile and acknowledging the congratulatory wishes coming his way. He even clicked a selfie with a fan waiting outside and graciously thanked everyone for the love the film has been receiving. The grand gesture of gratitude comes after Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by YRF, officially crossed the Rs 500 crore mark worldwide within just three weeks of release. According to the trade website Sacnilk, the romantic musical collected Rs 302.10 crore net and Rs 362.50 crore gross in India. With an overseas collection of Rs 130 crore, the worldwide total stands at Rs 492.50 crore. However, a press release from the film's team stated even higher numbers — Rs 308 crore net and Rs 376 crore gross domestically, and Rs 131 crore from overseas — taking the global total to Rs 507 crore. The Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer is now officially the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the year after Chhaava, which raked in Rs 807.91 crore worldwide. Mohit Suri on making Saiyaara over Aashiqui 3: No pressure of sequel, opening day
'Saiyaara' director Mohit Suri recently admitted that he was initially in talks with 'Aashiqui 3' producers to develop his next movie as part of the franchise. However, he decided to step away since the producers were in a "hurry to begin" the in an interview with PTI, revealed that he was "more than glad when Anurag Basu took over." He said, "'The Aashiqui 3' thing... it was too nascent. They (the Aashiqui 3 producers) asked me if I would be interested in making it. This was the idea I had. But I don't commit to something till I have a script ready. They were in a hurry to begin, so I was more than glad when Anurag took over, but I couldn't rush the process."advertisementSuri highlighted that with 'Saiyaara', he did not have any pressure of a sequel or box office opening to live up to. "Once there was no sequel pressure or of a star cast which had an opening number to live up to, I stopped caring about the commerce. And I just went and made a film," he went on.
