Annual credit plan unveiled with Rs 83,500 cr for NTR dist
The District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District-level Review Committee (DLRC) meetings were held here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Minister Satyakumar Yadav, along with collector Lakshmisha and officials, unveiled the annual credit plan for 2025-26.
Speaking at the event, the Minister stated that Rs 13,500 crore has been proposed for the agriculture sector and Rs 17,000 crore for the MSME sector for 2025-26. A total of Rs 33,000 crore has been allocated for the priority sector and Rs 50,500 crore for the non-priority sector in the credit plan. Additionally, Rs 2,495 crore in loans have been proposed for other priority sectors.
Collector Dr Lakshmisha mentioned that industrial units are being established in the district under the 'One Family, One Entrepreneur' initiative with innovative ideas, and banks should sanction the necessary loans to beneficiaries.
During the meeting, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) unveiled a potential linked credit plan (PLCP) of approximately Rs 30,048 crore for the district's priority sector.
DCC convener and UBI Regional Head MV Tilak, RBI LDO Ch Naveen Kumar, NABARD DDM Milind Chousalkar, LDM K Priyanka, RSETI Director Amareshwar, District Agriculture Officer DMF Vijayakumari, TIDCO EE Chinnodu, DRDA Additional Project Director K Kiran Kumar, and district officials from various departments also participated.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan chairs review meeting on education in Odisha's 4 aspirational districts
Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], July 7 (ANI): Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a high-level review meeting on education (school and higher) and other priority sectors in the four aspirational districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and Malkangiri at Koraput. Odisha's Minister of School and Mass Education, Nityananda Gond, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, senior officials from the district administrations, and Superintendents of Police from the respective districts participated in the meeting on Sunday. The review focused on improving educational infrastructure, ensuring quality education, and accelerating development in these aspirational districts. Further sharing the details of the meeting, Pradhan, in a post on X, said, 'Conducted a comprehensive review of the educational ecosystem in the undivided Koraput region covering the four aspirational districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur in the presence of Odisha Education Ministers Shri @NityanandaBJP and Shri @suryabanshibjp.' 'We had detailed discussions on improving the school and higher education landscape and addressing issues related to GER, drop-outs, expansion and development of school infrastructure, residential facilities, availability and capacity building of teachers among others. Also, took stock of implementation and progress of welfare schemes in priority sectors like nutrition, health, women and child development and skill development. We also discussed to lay more emphasis on covering a child's educational journey from 0-18 years while addressing nutritional and health aspects,' he added further. Later, speaking to the media, Pradhan said, 'The Central government has identified Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur as the four aspirational districts. Over the past eight years, new initiatives have been taken in these districts. A day ago, Pradhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 480 crore aimed at boosting the infrastructural development of the Central University of Odisha (CUO) in Koraput district. At the event, six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged between leading educational institutions. Opposition faces uncertain future: Bhatti
Madira: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the opposition party is worried about its future and has reached a point of helplessness, as the State government continues to roll out numerous welfare schemes and development initiatives. The Deputy Chief Minister participated in the Indiramma housing land distribution event and later addressed a public meeting in Madira Assembly constituency on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the opposition is anxious and conspiring because the Congress party's schemes are fundamentally changing lives. But no matter how many conspiracies they hatch, the people's government will stand tall and work tirelessly for the public,' he said. Bhatti Vikramarka pointed out that there are 1.10 crore families in Telangana, and the Indiramma government is providing at least one welfare benefit to nearly 93 lakh families. 'In just one and a half years, we have implemented some form of welfare program for every stage of life, from birth to old age,' the Deputy Chief Minister said. Lashing out at the opposition, he added, 'Those who ruled for ten years only looked after their own interests by converting people's needs into votes—they did not solve people's problems. They couldn't even clear the bills for the houses sanctioned by the Congress government before their rule. Instead, they lived luxuriously, looted the state, and ignored the suffering of the people.' 'If the BRS government had built houses for the poor during their ten years in power, there wouldn't have been a need today to spend thousands of crores on Indiramma housing,' Bhatti Vikramarka added. Bhatti said that Indiramma houses are being constructed so that the poor can live with self-respect and that the state government will fulfill the dream of every poor person to have their own house. Bhatti laid the foundation stone for the construction of tourist facilities at the Madhira Tank Bund at a cost of about Rs 6.45 crore. Later, sanction documents were distributed to the Indiramma house beneficiaries of Madhira, Errupalem and Bonakal mandals at the PVR Function Hall. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that if the dream of owning a house of the poor is to be realized, the Indiramma government has given us the opportunity, and maintaining the trust of the people, we are granting Indiramma houses to the deserving ones. He said that the government grants Rs 5 lakh for each poor person's house. He said that the government is spending Rs 22, 500 crore in the first phase and is granting 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses, and that the deserving ones are being selected transparently, regardless of parties and politics. He said that the current government will work to solve the problems of the people by directly knowing the pains of the people in the previous padayatra. He said that the government will spend thousands of crores of rupees with the aim of ensuring that every poor person lives in their own house with self-respect. He said that the Indiramma houses scheme will fulfill the dream of owning a house of the poor.
