Precious Golden Retriever-German Shepherd Puppy Mix Is Stealing Hearts Everywhere
Precious Golden Retriever-German Shepherd Puppy Mix Is Stealing Hearts Everywhere originally appeared on PetHelpful.
Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds are two of the most iconic dog breeds around. One of them is known for their unwavering loyalty, while the other is famous for their highly protective nature.
But what if you could combine these two breeds into one? What would a Golden Shepherd be like? A golden ray of protection? A wickedly smart canine companion with permanently velvety puppy ears, a goofy demeanor, and an adorable love of water?
Yes, yes, yes, and yes! All of these things can be true; they can be real, for as this heartwarming video shows, Golden Shepherds are real, and when you follow this one from his adorable puppyhood to his glorious adulthood, you will know how wonderful these dogs really are.
The adorable Golden Shepherd in this video goes by the name of Bear. According to this video, his mama was a German Shepherd, and his daddy was a Golden Retriever.
As a result of this unique lineage, Bear grew up with two distinctive canine personalities mixed into one very beautiful and eclectic body. He has a classic Golden Retriever head and the fluffy coat with the typical fur colors of a German Shepherd. As this video puts it, Bear is 'built like protection, vibes like sunshine.' Watching him lie around on his comfy bed, looking around the room, he gives off the total 'hey, does everyone want to be my friend?' vibes of a Golden Retriever.
Dogs really don't get much more adorable than this!
This other video really demonstrates this dog's dual nature. Out and about in the world during a car ride, notice how alert they are, diligently scanning the horizon, always on the lookout for anything.
But once they are back home safe and sound, their goofy Golden Retriever side comes out to play. And what is their toy of choice in this instance? Why, it is a red little cherry tomato.
Unsurprisingly, this tiny cherry tomato proves to be quite entertaining, especially with how adorable Bear is while he plays with it!
Bear, the Golden Shepherd, is without a doubt an exceptionally adorable canine companion. With his silly disposition and beautiful coat that looks like well-toasted bread, we think it's safe to say that this fur baby is stealing hearts everywhere!

Singer-Songwriter Steps on AGT Stage—Not Prepared for America's Response
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A singer-songwriter has exploded in popularity overnight after acing an audition on the competition show America's Got Talent (AGT). Recording artist Mama Duke, 37, from Austin Texas, has been "making music and writing jingles for as far back as I remember," including making beats on pencil and paper aged 14, and performing her creations for her classmates. On June 17, she found herself on the stage of AGT, performing an original track for Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Mel B — and has become an instant viral hit. She called the AGT performance the "wildest mix of manifestation, hustle, and timing," having been performing and building her brand with the belief that "if I kept showing up as me, the right doors were bound to appear in front of me. "The moment the first audition opportunity landed in my lap, I knew that something must be brewing. Something as in some force or magic that was starting to surface. I could feel it." With plenty of songs under her belt, Duke decided on Feels So Good To Be You for her audition because she, like many who have since heard it, "knew I was sitting on a little bop." Her audition received four yeses and a standing ovation from both the judges and the thousands in the audience, with former Spice Girl Mel B declaring it was "already a hit." And commenters reacting to the clip on the America's Got Talent YouTube channel, viewed more than 580,000 times, agreed. THIS IS A PERFORMANCE," one wrote, as another asked "how on earth is this not a golden buzzer moment?" referencing the shortcut judges can use to put contestants through to the next round regardless of other judges' verdicts. "If radio stations start playing this, it will become an instant hit. Very fresh, very catchy, amazing voice," one said, as another agreed Duke is the "complete package." Duke told Newsweek it "feels like I won the lottery," and that overnight it appears she received "a platform to talk about my ideas and dreams without sounding crazy. That's what things like this do for artists like me. Gives us leverage to push for the things we've always known we deserve." She revealed that musician and record producer Ester Dean, who has written hits for the likes of Rihanna and Beyoncé, "slid into my DMs to congratulate me," which has been incredible as Duke has "looked up to her pen game for a while." America's Got Talent/ NBC Ten days after her audition, Feels So Good To Be You has almost 700,000 streams—ten times the number of her second biggest song. While Duke brought the house down with her track, to the point many are predicting superstardom for her career, she admits that although she appeared "confident and present and very much settled into myself," she almost doesn't remember the experience. "It's the weirdest thing! It's a feeling that a lot of people won't be able to understand unless you're standing on that stage in front of 4,000 people—and four of those people being the most important folks you'll ever audition for in my life." "You don't know nerves like these nerves," she said, "but somehow I found my confidence on stage and settled in." "I'll be chasing that high for the rest of my life, that's for sure." AGT airs weekly on Tuesdays, and sees the contestants who made it through the auditions battle it out in live shows to stay in the competition, with the winner receiving a $1 million prize. Paralyzed Golden Retriever Stands on His Own for 20 Seconds and Everyone's in Tears
Paralyzed Golden Retriever Stands on His Own for 20 Seconds and Everyone's in Tears originally appeared on Parade Pets. Dogs are incredibly courageous and resilient. Canines find ways to overcome obstacles that seem almost insurmountable. I've seen dogs with disabilities learn how to live their best life in spite of their challenges. Pups push themselves beyond any limitations. Murphy the Golden Retriever is an amazing example. The paralyzed therapy dog decided one day to just stand up, and didn't even wait for someone to give him a boost. In the TikTok from @murphythetherapydogg, the courageous canine was standing alone by a door. This would appear to be an everyday occurence for most dogs, but not for Murphy. "My paralyzed dog just randomly stood on his own for 20 seconds??" the onscreen text revealed as Murphy was standing by the door. Murphy's mom explained the scene further in the caption, including how his back paws seemed to be out of alignment. "I sat Murphy down by my office door while I grabbed my sunglasses to take him out for a pee and I turned around and he was fully standing??" she shared. "I know his paws are the wrong way and we normally have no-knuckling socks to help with them but obviously I didn't have them at work." Apparently, Murphy has no feeling in those legs so there was no cause for concern. His mom was so excited at the heartwarming victory for her fur baby. "It looks uncomfortable but he can't feel his back end so it just looks worse for us haha," she wrote. "But this is the first time he's gotten to a stand without me helping him into a stand!" Previous TikToks show how Murphy's mom is working with him to strengthen his back legs. The gorgeous Golden has a wheelchair for his back end, and a recent video revealed that those legs are getting stronger. As Murphy's front legs were planted firmly on the ground, his back legs were contained but he was moving them."I think the connections are getting stronger and we are getting closer and closer to spinal walking!" the caption shared. Murphy is one special pup! 🐶🐾🐾 Paralyzed Golden Retriever Stands on His Own for 20 Seconds and Everyone's in Tears first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 28, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 28, 2025, where it first appeared.

'Tough but Adorable' Baby Elephant Attempts to Charge a Family in South Africa but Takes a Tumble
'Tough but Adorable' Baby Elephant Attempts to Charge a Family in South Africa but Takes a Tumble originally appeared on PetHelpful. A family of tourists visiting Kruger National Park in South Africa gave a very tough (and very adorable) baby elephant an 'A for Effort' when the little one attempted to charge, only to take a tumble instead. ABC News shared a video of the family's encounter, and it's making everybody's day. The tiny but fierce little guy runs at the vehicle the family was in, but trips over his own two (four?) feet! He quickly recovers but doesn't seem to be as interested in showing them who's boss. My heart, this was the cutest thing I've seen in a long time! He was trying to be so big and brave! ABC News' video quickly went viral and has been viewed more than 5 million times, and viewers have left thousands of comments. One viewer garnered 57,000 likes when they joked, "Nah, bro is trying the insurance fraud..." @Briana got 50 thousand likes for her comment, "He got embarrassed!!!" @ agreed, sharing what the baby elephant was probably thinking, "Let's pretend you didn't see that." We chuckled when @pacmanfrog shared, "You're so lucky I fell dude! You have NO idea dude" LOL!" And we laughed when @NikkieRogers added, "The way the momma pushed back the other baby... 'Don't even try it, Bryan.' LOL!"While mom and the other elephants didn't seem to have an issue with the tourists stopping to check them out, this little guy was not happy about was just practicing his big boy skills. explains that when elephants hold their ears out longer than a flap (which is something they do to regulate their body temperature), they are showing you how big they are and warning you of their size. It would be hard to be afraid of this cute little elephant, but not mom right behind him! There are other signs of anger as well. When annoyed, elephants rock on one foot, which may appear as if they're kicking up dust. It's normal for elephants to shake their heads a time or two, but if they continually shake their heads, it is another warning sign, as is holding their tail out stiffly. Trumpeting could also be a sign that they're getting mad about something. If you find yourself in front of an angry elephant, pay attention. Sometimes they mock charge as a warning, in which case you should remain calm and give them more space. If an elephant really charges, run! Run in a zig-zag pattern and try to find something to put in between you and the elephant…a rock, tree, or vehicle, for example. If possible, try to climb the tree or rock to get above the elephant. It sounds scary, but you can avoid these kinds of situations altogether by giving them their space and admiring them from a distance.
