20 Coach Vande Bharat, 20 Coach Vande Bharat Express Train: Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways (IR) has raised the coach composition of Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train. Flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24, 2023, this semi-high-speed train is being operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone. It also becomes the longest Vande Bharat Express train of the zonal railway. Developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF), this 20-coach ultra-modern train has been introduced by replacing the 16-coach Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express. Speaking to a senior railway official has confirmed the same. The official added that the coach composition has been increased in view of the demand and for passenger convenience. 'Train number 22348/22347 Patna-Howrah-Patna Vande Bharat Express is running with 20 coaches instead of 16 now,' the official said. The Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 532 km in 06:35 hrs. The train runs on all days of the week except Wednesday. During its journey between Patna and Howrah, the Vande Bharat Express train stops at eight stations. These are — Patna Saheb, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Luckeesarai, Jasidih, Jamtara, Asansol and Durgapur. Train number 22348 Vande Bharat Express departs from Patna at 08:00 hrs and reached Howrah Junction at 14:35 hrs. On its return journey, train number 22347 leaves Howrah at 15:50 hrs and reaches Patna Junction at 22:40 hrs. The Patna to Howrah Vande Bharat Express train has two types of seating arrangements – AC Chair Car and Executive AC. The ticket price for travelling between Patna and Howrah is Rs 1515 for AC Chair Car and Rs 2735 for Executive Chair Car.

The government is planning to build nine major stations between Delhi to Howrah. The bullet train will start from Delhi. After leaving Delhi, the train will reach Agra Cantt directly. After Agra Cantt, the superfast train will reach Varanasi via Kanpur Central, then Ayodhya and Lucknow. After Varanasi, it will reach Patna. Afte Patna the train will reach its final destination which is West Bengal's Howrah. Is The Delhi-Howrah Bullet Train's Survey Completed? As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the survey of the Delhi-Howrah bullet train in Bihar has been completed, and the report has also been submitted to the Railway Ministry. The construction of the bullet train will be done in two phases. In the first phase, the work between Delhi to Varanasi will be completed. In the second phase, it will be completed from Varanasi to Howrah. A total of Rs 5 lakh crore will be spent for the major project. How Much Time Will It Take? The proposed bullet train will reduce travel time between Delhi and Howrah to six and a half hours, covering 1669 kilometers. This includes a four-hour trip from Delhi to Patna (1078 km) and a two-hour trip from Patna to Howrah (578 km). It is to be noted that, after leaving Delhi, the bullet train will stop at 5 stations in Uttar Pradesh, one station in Bihar and two stations in West Bengal. The Railways will built a 60 km elevated track in Patna for the train. Notably, the work on the Mumbai and Ahmedabad bullet trains is going on at a fast pace. The work will be completed soon, and people will take its benefit in the coming months.

Jamshedpur: The South Eastern Railways (SER) said 24 passenger trains would halt at the Mahadevsal shrine located at Goilkera in West Singhbhum on the Howrah-Mumbai route from July 11 to August 9. Chakradharpur divisional railway officials said the trains are the Durg-Ara South Bihar Express (13287/13288), the Tata-Bilaspur Express (18113/14), the Howrah-Jagdalpur Sambleswari Express (18005/18006), the Howrah-Titlagarh Express (12871/72), the Kantabanji-Titlagarh Howrah Ispat Express (22861/62), the Puri-Rishikesh Express (18477/78), the Tata-Ernakulam Express (18189/90), the Tata-Itwari Express (18109/10), and the Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express (18051/52). The Tata-Rourkela MEMU (68043/44) and Chakradharpur-Rourkela Saranda MEMU (68025/26) will also follow the two-minute halt rule. The Howrah-Jagdalpur Sambleswari Express and the Tata-Ernakulam Express will halt on all days, while the Chakradharpur-Rourkela Saranda MEMU and the Tata Itwari Express will halt on all days, except on August 9. The other trains will halt at the station on separate days on the up and down route. Devotees and enthusiasts from Odisha, West Bengal besides host Jharkhand visit the Mahadevsal temple, which is situated at a distance of 101km from the Tatanagar station.
