England beat Sweden on penalties to reach Women's Euro semis
Stina Blackstenius teed up Sweden captain Kosovare Asllani to score in the second minute after England gave the ball away cheaply, and Blackstenius then out-ran Jess Carter to score with a confident finish herself in the 25th minute.
Lucy Bronze pulled a goal back for England in the 79th minute, meeting Chloe Kelly's cross and heading home from a tight angle to re-ignite the white-clad fans in the crowd and substitute Michelle Agyemang levelled two minutes later with a superb poacher's finish to send the game to extra time.
Both sides had their fair share of chances in extra time but the game went to penalties.
Swedish keeper Jennifer Falk saved four spot kicks and skied the potentially decisive penalty over the bar, but Lucy Bronze fired England into the lead and Holmberg skied her attempt as the champions went through to the last four.

'I would say I spend £4,000 a year supporting the Arsenal and England women's teams - the game tickets and travelling all add up,' she said. 'For Euro 2022 I booked tickets for most of the games including the final. I basically took a whole month off to watch the Lionesses. England will play Italy on Tuesday night as they bid for a place in the final of the women's Euros 'I went to Brighton twice, Southampton, Northern Ireland and to Wembley. I spent around £2,000 travelling and buying merchandise on that tournament alone. 'My biggest ever football trip was in 2003, when I travelled to the USA and went on a 16-hour road trip between Mississippi and Washington DC to watch five professional women's soccer matches played in the WUSA league. 'I met Kelly Smith there, and I've never been so starstruck in all my life. I couldn't even remember my name. I didn't know my name, I didn't know where I was from. 'She came and spoke to us for about 10 minutes. It was such a surreal moment in my life. I was so excited to meet her because she was my idol. She is absolutely the best player in the world.' In 2023, Bleach and her partner Elizabeth spent five months building The Lionesses Den to watch the Women's World Cup, where England finished runners-up to Spain. 'It cost us about £3,000 and we have signed shirts from Beth Mead and Kelly Smith, signed autographs from Lucy Bronze and Mary Earps and pictures of me with Leah Williamson. 'The whole collection is probably worth around £1,000. 'It might have been a lot to spend, but we use the pub easily once or twice a week and we love it. I don't regret a single penny I've spent supporting the Lionesses.'

But to be able to come 90 seconds late to the crease is not something that comes in the spirit of the game. 'Leading up to that event, a lot of things that we thought should not have happened had happened. I wouldn't say it's something I'm very proud of, but there was a lead-up and build-up to that; it didn't just come out of nowhere. 'We had no intention of doing that whatsoever, but you're playing a game, you're playing to win, and there are a lot of emotions. When you see there are things happening that should not happen, sometimes emotions come out of nowhere.' England were fined 10 per cent of their match fee and docked two ICC World Championship points because of their slow over rate at Lord's. But England emerged victorious after a thrilling conclusion to that Test on 14 July, taking a 2-1 lead in the series. The hosts won the first match at Headingley, before India hit back at Edgbaston. The third Test then played out at Lord's, while the fourth is scheduled for 23 to 27 July at Old Trafford.
