Mattel releases 'Clueless' Barbie dolls for movie's 30th anniversary. How to buy.
Mattel is "totally buggin'" with its new line of "Clueless" Barbie dolls in celebration of the movie's 30th anniversary this summer.
Mattel launched Cher and Dionne Barbie dolls last week, sporting iconic plaid skirts and blazers, with '90 cellphones, antennas and all, in hand. The Barbie dolls are just two of Mattel's new collector toys for the "Clueless" anniversary, which also include American Girl doll outfits, a Polly Pocket compact and an Uno deck.
Released on July 19, 1995, "Clueless" follows Cher (Alicia Silverstone) and Dionne (Stacey Dash), shallow and socially successful teenagers at Beverley Hills High School. When Cher, who sees herself as a matchmaker, tries to give the new girl Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover, she is stunned when she becomes more popular than she is. But under all the sass and plaid, Cher struggles to find her own perfect boyfriend, which may or may not be found in her ex-stepbrother Josh (Paul Rudd).
As Saturday's anniversary nears, here's what to know about Mattel's limited-edition "Clueless" collection.

What do the 'Clueless' Barbie dolls include?
The Cher Barbie Doll features a sunshine yellow plaid suit with a pleated skirt, matching blazer and over-the-knee white socks. The doll can carry a mini white backpack, cellphone and learner's driving permit.
The Dionne Barbie Doll wears a black-and-white plaid suit with a ribbon and rose donned top hat. The doll carries a cellphone, too.
How much are the 'Clueless' Barbie dolls?
The Cher and Dionne Barbie Dolls are $59.40 each on the Walmart website and Amazon and $55.99 on the Target website.
A look at Mattel's other 'Clueless' toys
Barbie dolls aren't the only toys Mattel is releasing for the "Clueless" anniversary. Take a look at the others:
Mattel has released two American Girl Collector Series outfits, one that embodies Cher and the other Dionne. The outfits do not include an American Girl doll.
The Cher outfit features the character's yellow plaid skirt and blazer, a yellow sweater, white t-shirt, white over-the-knee socks, white Mary Jane heels, a white, fluffy backpack, and cellphone.
The Dionne outfit includes a black-and-white plaid skirt and blazer, red sweater, white t-shirt, black ankle socks, black Mary Janes, black and white top hat with a red rose, and cellphone.
Both outfits are $75 each and available on the American Girl website. No more than 7,000 of Cher's American Girl outfit and no more than 5,000 of Dionne's outfit were manufactured, according to Mattel.
Fisher-Price's Little People Collector set includes Cher, Dionne and Tai dolls and a collectors box that features the famous staircase from Cher's house. The set is available on the Mattel Creations website for $27 and Amazon for $26.99.
The heart-shaped Polly Pocket Clueless Compact features Cher, Dionne and Tai dolls. Each doll comes with her own accessory. Behind a facade of Cher's staircase is her home, including her bedroom and living room. The compact also comes with Cher's white Jeep Wrangler. The toy is available on the Walmart website for $29.97, Target website for $30.99 and Amazon for $32.40.
Uno's fandom "Clueless" deck features 112 cards that sport characters from the movie, one "Ugh, As If" Wild Card, which can be played to reject any of the other player's cards, and a collectors box. The deck is $12 on the Mattel Creations website.
How to watch 'Clueless'
"Clueless" is available for streaming on Paramount+ with a paid subscription ($12.99 per month) and for free on Pluto TV. The movie can also be rented ($3.79) or purchased ($14.99) on Amazon Prime Video.

Hamleys names Lego, Barbie and Rubik's Cube among top toys of all time
Lego classic bricks, the Barbie doll and the Rubik's Cube have been named among the top toys of all time by retailer Hamleys. The boardgame Monopoly, the Tamagotchi virtual pet, which Hamleys described as a 'symbol of 90s tech toy obsession', and the Action Man doll also make the top 10, as does the Teletubby doll, the Furby, the Frozen singing doll and Nintendo Game Boy. The toy store said it compiled its 'hero' 100 list with the help of top buyers to mark its 265th birthday, and included toys that had cultural impact, enduring popularity and historical significance. It described Lego – first released in 1958 – as 'timeless, creative, and a global phenomenon', noting it had gone on to span toys, films and theme parks. It said more than one billion Barbie dolls had been sold across the world since its first release in 1959, making it a 'pop culture icon' across the decades. More than 500 million Rubik's Cubes had been sold since 1974, making it the world's best-selling puzzle toy. However Hamleys said 'eternal classics' such as the hula hoop, spinning tops and marbles were still bought around the world today, despite them being among the first toys sold by the store when William Hamley opened its doors in 1760. Victoria Kay, head buyer at Hamleys, said: 'Once you start looking at this, it turns rapidly into a nostalgia-fest – even for toys from four or five years ago. 'My personal favourites are Sindy doll – I was always a Sindy girl as she was a cool British icon. I also adored Glo Worm, even though I was maybe a bit old for it and Simon felt like properly, cutting edge, advanced technology when it came out – it was literally the soundtrack of Christmas in the 80s.' Senior Hamleys buyer Karen Dennett said she particularly remembered toys where stocks were under severe pressure due to unforeseen demand and unusually had to be restricted to one per customer. She said: 'It was mayhem at times with toys like the Frozen Singing 'Let it Go' Doll – we were getting them rush air freighted in to try to satisfy demand. 'I remember me and my brother both getting a Rubik's Cube for Christmas. He solved it super quick, but I was nowhere near solving it, so I remember peeling the coloured stickers off to allow me to look like I had managed it.' Ms Kay said it was difficult to determine what made a toy popular, but said: 'You can never underestimate the power of togetherness created around some of the big-sellers – those toys that bring people of all ages together – get families around a table talking, playing, challenging, maybe even cheating. Monopoly would be nothing without the competitive family battles that emerge. 'We also mustn't forget that simplicity is often key – the joy of cuddling a doll or storytelling with an action figure or a superfast Hot Wheel car. 'Combined with a good dose of jeopardy and you have something truly memorable – think Operation or Kerplunk, Jenga or Buckaroo – they are so simple. 'I used to panic trying to balance the boot in Mousetrap and be terrified of the noise Operation would make when I got it wrong or just burst with panicky laughter when the Jenga tower finally wobbled and collapsed. Toys like that will last forever.' Sign in to access your portfolio

Rihanna's Avant-Garde Alaïa Look Redefines Maternity Style
THE RUNDOWN Rihanna has been gracing fans with one show-stopping style moment after another, appearing everywhere from the Dior show in Paris to the Smurfs movie premiere. Last night in Santa Monica, the singer and makeup mogul was spotted leaving Giorgio Baldi in an all-white sculptural set styled by her longtime collaborator Jahleel Weaver. In the words of Cher Horowitz in Clueless, 'This is an Alaïa!' The star's sequin skirt, which debuted on Alaïa's summer-fall 2025 runway, featured a low-rise padded waistband that added an architectural element to the ensemble. She paired the skirt with a custom white hooded knit crop top, proudly showing off her pregnancy with her third child. Earlier in the day, Rihanna walked the blue carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of the Smurfs movie in custom Saint Laurent fall 2025 womenswear by Anthony Vaccarello. She appeared hand-in-hand with her sons, 3-year-old RZA and almost-2-year-old Riot. The two competed with their mother for best dressed in custom Dior from Jonathan Anderson—sporting delft dress-inspired cargo shorts, a men's bar jacket, and all. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky attended Anderson's runway alongside industry veterans and celebrity supporters a mere few weeks earlier. Now, on the carpets, there couldn't be a better time for Anderson to delve into custom Dior, nor is it too soon for these future fashion icons to make their mark.
