Hospital Nurse Reportedly Charged in Paris Suburb Child Abuse Case

Morocco Worlda day ago
A 26-year-old nurse from a hospital in suburban Paris reportedly faces charges for sexual assault on minors after authorities discovered videos involving infants, prosecutors announced Saturday.
The woman also faces charges for creating and distributing child pornographic images in a case that broke after viral videos spread on TikTok.
She worked in the neonatal intensive care unit for premature babies at Montreuil Hospital, north of the French capital.
The incidents occurred between December 2024 and January 2025, according to prosecutors in nearby Bobigny. The hospital has suspended the nurse from her duties.
The nurse turned herself in to police Wednesday evening. She blamed a 28-year-old man with whom she had a relationship, claiming he controlled her actions. Prosecutors charged the man as an accomplice to sexual assault, believing he orchestrated the crimes.
A judge placed both suspects under judicial supervision, despite prosecutors' request to hold them in custody.
TikTok videos sparked investigation
The case came to light after several TikTok videos warned about 'a scandal at a hospital' in the area.
In one video that received over 1.4 million views, a man claimed 'two people who work with babies are having fun mistreating Black children' and described the abuse as sexual in nature.
The man in the video called for people to 'take to the streets to deliver street justice.'
Prosecutors clarified that race played no role in the crimes, noting that 'one child is white, the other Black.'
Investigators have identified two victims from the videos so far.
Hospital responds to crisis
The viral rumors caused panic Wednesday and Thursday, with worried mothers calling the hospital after giving birth there up to a year ago, according to hospital officials.
'The actions of this nurse, if confirmed by the ongoing police investigation, represent a serious personal misconduct that the hospital firmly condemns,' hospital management said in a statement.
'These are in no way collective practices of the service.'
The Grand Paris Nord-Est hospital group, which operates Montreuil Hospital, stressed that the alleged crimes were individual acts, not systematic problems within the facility.
The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the full scope of the alleged abuse and identify any additional victims. Tags: child abuseFranceFrench nurse abuse infantssexual abuse

The Hakimi Play: France's Theatre of Justice

Achraf Hakimi: By any footballing measure, Achraf Hakimi has just had the season of his life. Four trophies with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) – including the club's first UEFA Champions League – 27 goal involvements from right-back, and a tactical mutation under Luis Enrique that saw him playing more winger than a right-back. The Atlas Lion is now hurtling, eyes fixed on football's most gilded prey — the Ballon d'Or. Until, of course, the French justice system decided to butt in. Last Friday, French prosecutors gave the kiss of life to a two-and-a-half-year-old rape case. The timing is suspicious. One could argue it reeks of sabotage to the benefit of none other than Hakimi's PSG teammate – and French international – Ousmane Dembélé. So, let's unpack this murky farce. The Case That Refused to Die On February 27, 2023, the Nanterre prosecutor opened a preliminary investigation into Hakimi. Oddly, no official complaint had been filed. No medical certificate. No physical evidence. Nothing that typically kickstarts such a serious accusation. Yet the judicial gears turned. And just as the Ballon d'Or jury was set to consider its shortlist of nominees, France wants to send the Moroccan star to the criminal court. A Shaky Accusation The case itself is riddled with inconsistencies. Leaked messages between the accuser – dubbed 'Amélie' – and her friend Nadia paint a picture more of premeditated manipulation and financial blackmail than victimhood. Hours before visiting Hakimi's home, Amélie texted 'J'ai le démon mdrr,' while Nadia urged her to go 'mode femme fatale' and 'dépouiller' the player – street slang for robbing someone blind. They even exchanged lyrics from a French rap song about taking risks for financial gain. At 1:15 am, Amélie reportedly texted that she was keen on a sexual encounter. Yet post-incident, she refused to share the full exchange with the police. It was only after detectives grilled her friend that these incriminating messages surfaced, which the accuser had deleted. Hakimi, for his part, has flatly denied any wrongdoing. His lawyer has decried the prosecution's demand for trial as 'insane.' Kylian Mbappé, the most valuable French footballer on Earth, backed his former teammate, stating Hakimi is 'respectful with women' and never exhibited any inappropriate behaviour. The Club des Avocats au Maroc has now stepped in, forming an independent commission to scrutinise the legal circus. Their concerns are about whether French justice is playing fair. So Why Now? Because it's all so perfectly orchestrated. Hakimi's bid for the Ballon d'Or is backed by substance: stats, trophies, records, performances. But France wouldn't dare let a Moroccan lay his hands on the Ballon d'Or in lieu of their golden boy. Hakimi is now cloaked in controversy. Not from new evidence. Not from trial proceedings. But from media noise, carefully timed to stain his image ahead of the Ballon d'Or voting. Hakimi may be facing the match of his life, not on the pitch but in the court of public opinion. In the end, history may judge Hakimi not by the awards he didn't win, but by the smear campaign he survived. And if France thinks it can quietly hand the Ballon d'Or to Dembélé through judicial puppeteering, it may well find the world is watching – and not buying a single word. Italian police arrest Moroccan linked to jihadist terrorism at Malpensa Airport

DR Estimated read time: 1' Italian police arrested a 24-year-old Moroccan citizen at Malpensa Airport as he attempted to travel to Bahrain. The arrest was carried out by border police in coordination with the Varese Police Command, following confirmation that the individual was wanted by French authorities in connection with a jihadist terrorism investigation. The man, previously detained in France for offenses related to extremism, had violated judicial restrictions imposed by the French authorities and tried to leave the country undetected. However, a routine data check through immigration control systems enabled security personnel to identify him just moments before the plane's departure. The aircraft had already begun taxiing on the runway when air traffic authorities ordered it to stop. The suspect was removed from the plane and taken into custody. He was later transferred to Busto Arsizio Prison, where he remains under the authority of the Milan Court of Appeals pending extradition to France.

Moroccan lawyers denounce «procedural violations» in Achraf Hakimi rape case

The Club of Lawyers in Morocco has denounced «serious violations of procedural rights guaranteed under a fair trial» in the handling of the case involving Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, who faces rape allegations in France. In a statement issued on Saturday, the association argued that the proceedings have fallen short of the «guarantees provided by Article 6 §1 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the preliminary article of the French Code of Criminal Procedure, particularly in terms of expediency, objectivity, and the presumption of innocence». Citing what it describes as a «case conducted under media pressure», the Club of Lawyers noted that «the investigation was launched based on a simple statement, without a formal complaint, medical certificate, or the complainant's immediate willingness to cooperate». In the absence of forensic evidence, the association questioned the thoroughness of the inquiry, especially given that «nearly two and a half years elapsed between the initial indictment and the final charges, in violation of the principle of reasonable time». In this context, the association recalled the European Court of Human Rights' stance that «justice delayed is justice denied». This statement comes as the footballer's legal team has reaffirmed its commitment to proving his innocence. According to elements of the case reported in the French press, text messages exchanged between the complainant and one of her friends suggest the possibility of premeditation. The events date back to February 2023, when a 24-year-old woman alleged she was sexually assaulted by Hakimi at his home in Boulogne-Billancourt. She subsequently visited the Nogent-sur-Marne police station to provide a brief statement but did not file a formal complaint. On March 3, 2023, Hakimi was officially indicted on charges of rape.
