Paddy McGuinness calls out BBC Radio 2 security team live on air after being blocked from entering the building
The former Top Hear presenter, 51, started his Sunday show, which airs from 11am to 1pm, on Radio 2 last June.
But after over a year on air, Paddy was left appalled on his most recent show when the security guard stopped him from walking into the building.
Paddy revealed that the security guard had asked to see his pass which left him shocked, as he said on air: 'I said "Pass? Have you seen that yellow chopper there son, with 10 million quid stuck on top it? I did that!"'
Speaking to listeners, Paddy vented his frustrations as he said: 'Before we get into it, how long have we been doing this show? For a year? Yeah it's been about a year hasn't it. It's been over a year actually.
'I'm just wondering when security are going to know it's me. I'm not even bothered about them recognising me off the telly or anything I've done in my career - just the fact that I come in every Sunday for a year and the bloke still wouldn't let me in this morning [laughs].'
'"Have you got your pass?" I said "Pass? Have you seen that yellow chopper there son, with 10 million quid stuck on top it? I did that!"
Paddy's ex-wife Christine McGuinness recently gave an update on their relationship.
The pair announced their split in July 2022 after 11 years of marriage.
The former couple share three children, including 11-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and seven-year-old Felicity.
The former beauty queen, 37, set the record straight during a candid chat with Amy Hart 's Mum's Club podcast.
'I thought that going on Celebs Go Dating I would be fine. I'm ready to date. I'm completely ready to date,' she told.
Discussing the reality of co- parenting with Paddy after the couple parted ways in 2022, Christine told: 'I've been separated from my ex husband for three years. We get on really well.
'We still live at home together, but of course, I want some adult company. I can't just sit and be with children all day, every day.
'I like that time out - being away from home when I'm working - but I haven't got that time out being away from home not working and just enjoying some adult company.
'I haven't had that, so I got the opportunity and thought, You know what? Why not? I understand myself, so I'll be fine. I'll manage it and it was just a step too far.'
'I found it quite overwhelming, so I listened to myself and I'm really, really proud that I recognised how I felt...
'I went home to my children after two weeks. I was supposed to do 10 weeks of filming - and I'd done two weeks - and I'm really, really proud of myself that I did what was right for me.'
She added: 'If something doesn't feel right for you, physically, mentally, emotionally, it's okay to leave.
'That's something I tell my children quite a lot, because being autistic, you can stay and do what other people want you to do.
'I think it's really, really important to know that you can leave the party, you can leave the job, leave the event, you can leave the relationship at any time.'
In June, Christine explained to Elizabeth Day on her podcast, that Paddy and family have known about her sexuality since she was little and it was 'never a secret'.
She opened up about how she was dating women, including one two-year 'situationship', before she met Paddy, and admits she wants a connection for herself and not a step-parent for her children.
She told the broadcaster: 'It shouldn't matter somebody's gender. It never mattered to me, which was why once me and my ex-husband were separated and I met people, I didn't properly date.
'It was more like blurred the lines of friendships for me, that was normal. It felt comfortable because I'd done that as a teenager and I, as a teenager, I dated both men and women. My ex-husband knew. My family knew. It was never a secret for me.'
When asked if she has a label for her sexuality, Christine said she has thought about it but would consider herself more of a 'free spirit'.
When asked about labels, Christine explained: 'No and again, I've thought about it. A lot of people always ask me, are you a lesbian? Are you bisexual? Are you what? Is this a phase?
'I've always been quite a free spirit. I think that's the only word I would put on it. When I was a teenager, I'd dated boys and girls. 14/15 was probably when I had my first kisses with, with both, and I never felt it was anything different or a big deal. Then I think where I grew up, everyone was kind of just there for a good time.'

Oasis ‘shocked and saddened' after fan dies in fall at Wembley concert
Oasis have said they are 'shocked and saddened' after a man fell to his death at Wembley Stadium during the band's Saturday concert. The man was understood to be sitting in the upper tier of the 90,000-seat stadium – the highest stands of which are 50 metres above the ground – as the Gallagher brothers performed as part of their reunion tour. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police said officers on duty at Wembley for the Oasis concert responded to reports that a person had been injured at 10.19pm. 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,' the spokesperson said. 'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.' The Met has asked anyone who has information that could help to confirm what happened to contact the force. Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.' The band dedicated the track Live Forever to 'all the people who can't be here tonight' during their Wembley Stadium gig on Sunday night. Liam Gallagher said: 'This one's for all the people who can't be here tonight, but who are here if you know what I mean, and aren't they looking lovely. Live Forever.' One fan, who was sitting in a lower tier, said on social media that she had witnessed paramedics trying to revive the man. 'I was directly underneath in section 211. At first glance I thought it was a coat falling from the above tier but then I looked and saw the bloke on the concrete. It was horrific to see,' she wrote. A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London ambulance service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.' The Oasis reunion tour, with Liam and Noel Gallagher at the band's helm again for the first time in 16 years, includes seven shows at Wembley and five in the Gallaghers' home town of Manchester. They will then tour the US, Mexico, Japan, South Korea and Australia, before ending in South America in November.

Vicious brawl between female WWE fans breaks out as SummerSlam chaos hits the stands in New Jersey
Multiple women got into a legitimate heated brawl in the front row of the bleachers early into the second night of WWE 's SummerSlam mega show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The event which kicked off at 6 p.m. local time still had plenty of daylight shining into the crowd, meaning the fight took place in the first couple of matches of the show. How the fight started is unclear, with the video starting with at least seven people involved in the chaos, most of them being women. As the camera focuses on the brawl, a woman in black quickly gets her hair grabbed by another woman in a red skirt. A woman in a white tank top also is involved, seemingly on the side of her friend in the red skirt, as she has a hold of the woman in black's arm. The only woman to throw a punch during the recorded portion of the fight is the woman in a black shirt, who connects with a few strikes to the abdomen of the women in the red skirt. Oh it's lit! — Kazeem Famuyide 🇳🇬 🍎 (@Kazeem) August 4, 2025 Several members of stadium security in orange arrive to break up the fight, with all parties seemingly escorted from MetLife Stadium after the video ends. WWE's ticket prices for one of its signature events of the year were high, with some costing over $300 per seat, especially in the lower bowl. Getting into a fight with multiple matches still to go is one way to not get a proper return on an investment. WWE's biggest show of the year not named WrestleMania is SummerSlam, held over the course of two nights for the first time in 2025. WrestleMania made the permanent switch to a two-night spectacular back in 2020. The show was headlined by Cody Rhodes defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship, avenging his loss to the 'Peacemaker' star at WrestleMania 41 in April.

Not your average Dad jokes: the comedian that all my mum friends fancy
George Lewis has been my maternity leave companion. The 37-year-old comedian from Stockport clocks up hundreds of thousands of views for his Instagram reels. Mums on maternity leave, he tells me, form a big bulk of his audience. I can see why. On the trials of parenting young children, he is brilliantly entertaining and instantly relatable — an antidote to all those social media accounts sharing visions of perfect parenting. And fellow mums admit to a bit of a crush on Lewis. With his very good hair and cheeky grin, he is a dad you might not mind bumping into at the school gate. He started posting comedy sketches on Instagram during the pandemic and it was the parenting ones that struck a chord. He has three children, aged two, five and seven, with his wife, Harriet, and 625,000 remarkably well-behaved Instagram followers. His series in which two toddlers chat to one another like adult friends is among his most popular content. The toddlers (both played by Lewis) discuss the devastation of dropping a piece of banana on the floor, adding 'character' to blank, freshly painted walls with a crayon, and the impact of dropping the daytime nap: 'Maybe it has affected me a little bit.' We've all been there.
