Nvidia DLSS 4 boosts ‘Dune: Awakening' performance, adds path tracing to F1 25

Broadcast Pro09-06-2025

'Dune: Awakening' features full support for NvidiaA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, along with DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and Nvidia Reflex, which cuts PC latency by up to 50%.
Nvidia has announced that DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is delivering major performance boosts in Dune: Awakening, while EA SPORTS F1 25 launches with full support for Nvidia's advanced suite of DLSS technologies, including Ray Reconstruction and Multi Frame Generation.
Funcom's highly anticipated Dune: Awakening invites players into a detailed version of Arrakis, inspired by Frank Herbert's novels and Denis Villeneuve's acclaimed films. The game blends survival mechanics with large-scale multiplayer elements, offering players a chance to rise from basic survival to power on the harshest planet in the universe. Available now in Advanced Access for Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners, the game's general release is set for June 10.
The title integrates Nvidia DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Reflex, which reduces system latency by up to 50%. Gamers using the Nvidia app can also upgrade DLSS Super Resolution to a new transformer-based AI model for enhanced image clarity. With DLSS 4 and Super Resolution enabled, frame rates in Dune: Awakening are increased by an average of 4.9 times at 4K resolution with maximum settings.
Meanwhile, EA SPORTS F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, has debuted on PC with cutting-edge path-traced effects, significantly raising the bar for visual realism. GeForce RTX GPU users can activate DLSS Ray Reconstruction to replace traditional denoisers with a single AI model, delivering a more stable and detailed ray tracing experience.
GeForce RTX 50 Series players can take full advantage of DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for performance gains, while RTX 40 Series users benefit from DLSS Frame Generation, and all RTX GPU owners can utilise DLSS Super Resolution. When all three DLSS technologies are combined, performance in F1 25 is multiplied by up to 7.9 times at 4K Ultra High settings with path tracing, even during demanding in-game conditions like a nighttime race on a wet Bahrain track with 20 competing cars.

Singapore AI‑Chip Fraud Trial Paused Until August

A Singapore court has postponed the trial of three men accused of illegally redirecting Nvidia AI chips to China until 22 August, after prosecutors stressed the need for additional time to analyse fresh documents and obtain international cooperation. The adjournment allows police to deepen their review of evidence and reach out to overseas authorities for responses. Charged with fraud, the defendants—Singaporeans Aaron Woon Guo Jie, 41, and Alan Wei Zhaolun, 49, along with Chinese national Li Ming, 51—stand accused of falsifying end‑user information to secure servers during purchases in 2023 and 2024. Those servers, allegedly equipped with high-end Nvidia chips, were then shipped via Singapore to Malaysia before possibly continuing to China. Political pressure surrounds the case, as the United States banned exports of leading-edge chips to China in 2022 over military and intelligence concerns. A senior U.S. official has asserted that DeepSeek, the Chinese AI firm implicated, supports military and intelligence operations. Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam confirmed that Singapore authorities pursued the investigation independently after an anonymous tip-off, and preliminary findings indicate the servers may indeed contain Nvidia's chips. The equipment, originally sourced from Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer via Singapore‑based firms, was rerouted to Malaysia, though the final destination remains uncertain. ADVERTISEMENT This case forms part of a broader probe involving 22 individuals and companies alleged to have falsified end‑user data in order to bypass export restrictions. Singapore's position as a regional invoicing hub—recording 18% of Nvidia's fiscal year revenues despite accounting for less than 2% of physical shipments—underscores its vulnerability as a transit point in such schemes. Observers note that policing such complex supply chains is increasingly difficult, especially when high‑performance AI hardware carries dual-use potential with applications in advanced military or surveillance systems. Singapore's legal actions and multilateral engagements will be closely watched as the court reconvenes late in August.

Nvidia insiders sold over $1 billion in stock amid market surge, reports Financial Times

Nvidia insiders sold over $1 billion worth of company stock in the past year, with a notable uptick in recent trading activity as executives capitalize on surging investor interest in artificial intelligence, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. More than $500 million of the share sales took place this month as the California-based chip designer's share price climbed to an all-time high, the report said. Jensen Huang, Nvidia's chief executive, started selling shares this week for the first time since September, the SEC filing showed. Nvidia's stock hit a record on Wednesday, and the chipmaker reclaimed the crown as the world's most valuable company after an analyst said the chipmaker was set to ride a "Golden Wave" of artificial intelligence. Its latest gains reflect the U.S. stock market's return to the "AI trade" that fueled massive gains in chip stocks and related technology companies in recent years on optimism about the emerging technology. Nvidia declined to comment on the FT report. Reuters could not immediately confirm the report. Nvidia's shares have rebounded over 60% from their closing low on April 4, when Wall Street was reeling from President Donald Trump's global tariff announcements. U.S. stocks, including Nvidia, have recovered on expectations the White House will reach trade deals to soften the tariffs. Reuters
