22 Kids star Sue Radford details emotional 'disagreements' with husband Noel
Sue Radford, from the hit series 22 Kids and Counting, has revealed some of the discord with her husband Noel regarding his personal quest to locate his birth mother.
Noel, who was adopted at a mere 10 days old in 1971, has often shared his adoption story. Sue, also adopted, has expressed no desire to seek out her biological parents.
In the upcoming episodes of the much-loved programme, audiences will accompany Noel on a poignant quest to find his birth mother.
A preview of the new series shows Noel reflecting: "It really is a massive thing going looking for your birth mum after all this time. I think I'd like to meet her, yeah, I think I would."
In another scene, the54-year-old sits beside Sue as he admits he feels it's his 'duty' to search for his biological mother, saying: "They might be desperate to see us."
Sue, however, does not share her husband's sentiment, as she explains: "My birth mum was in the same situation as I was in.
"But, I chose to keep my baby, and my mum put me up for adoption. My birth mum didn't want me, and that does affect you."
She reveals that this issue has sparked disagreements between her and Noel, stating firmly: "It has caused a few disagreements between me and Noel. My mum and dad are my mum and dad, and that's it."
Noel, acknowledging his own feelings, confesses that seeking out his birth mother feels selfish but recognises that this may be his only opportunity to do so in his lifetime, reports the Express.
Channel 5 is set to launch the new series this Sunday night, with an emotional opener as Sue hires an adoption specialist to aid Noel in his quest to locate his biological mother.
The episode summary reveals: "For more than three years, Noel Radford has been attempting to make contact with his birth mother, but has always drawn a blank.
"This leads his wife, Sue, to hire an adoption specialist in one final attempt to help her husband fulfil his dream, but it comes with unexpected consequences."
Sue and Noel have become household names since their programme debuted in 2021, showcasing their ever-expanding family life.
The announcement of their TV comeback earlier this week was met with excitement from fans, who expressed support for Noel's poignant search.
One viewer shared: "Great, can't wait. I love your family, and it was very moving watching Noel tracing his birth mother. Me and my twin brother and I were adopted, and I can understand how he feels wanting to know."
22 Kids and Counting Finding Mum: 50 Years Apart will be available for viewing on Channel 5 starting July 20th at 8pm.

Prime Video shares poignant tribute to star killed in crash in new trailer for hit show
The new season is set to feature some major cameos from the main show Prime Video has unveiled a fresh glimpse at the second series of their near flawless superhero spin-off show including a tribute to a late star who died last year. The forthcoming instalment of Gen V is slated to arrive on the streaming platform later this year. From 17th September, new episodes of The Boys spin-off will be accessible. Season one boasts an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 97%, with one critic hailing it as 'simply extraordinary'. Now, fans have been given an even better sneak peek, with a significant cameo from one of the main show's cast members revealed, reports the Express. Gen V delves into the lives of students attending America's only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (supes) run by Vought International. The series probes the lives and moral boundaries of these students as they vie for the top ranking and a chance to join The Seven, Vought's elite superhero team as seen in The Boys. However, in the first series, the students begin to unearth the university's darkest and deepest secrets. The upcoming series of Gen V will introduce pivotal events and revelations that feed directly into the final chapter of The Boys. Its first three episodes premiere 17th September, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The trailer also appears to feature a poignant tribute to star Chance Perdomo, who tragically perished in a motorcycle accident before filming commenced at just 27 years old. The show's creators chose not to recast his character from the first series and completely rewrote the second season. In the fresh teaser, one character honours his role by declaring: "For Andre." According to the programme's synopsis, lessons resume just as the remainder of America adapts to Homelander's authoritarian grip, whilst back at Godolkin University, the enigmatic new Dean advocates a syllabus that vows to make pupils more formidable than ever before. Cate and Sam are hailed as heroes, whilst Marie, Jordan, and Emma grudgingly return to university, weighed down by months of psychological scars and bereavement. However, festivities and lectures become difficult to prioritise with conflict brewing between Humans and Supes, both within and beyond the campus grounds. The group discovers a clandestine programme dating back to Godolkin University's establishment that could have far more significant consequences than they comprehend. And Marie plays a crucial part in it. The second series features Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor as Jordan Li, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity and Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher. The preview, which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, revealed a surprise appearance by beloved The Boys actor Chace Crawford who portrays The Deep and confirmed the casting of Wicked star Ethan Slater, who will become a main cast member. Also glimpsed in the trailer making a brief appearance is Erin Moriarty, who portrays Annie January, better known as Starlight. The programme faces considerable expectations following the first season's success, which garnered glowing critiques. One reviewer declared: " Prime Video's new series is just as brilliant as the original, and it's also a demonstration that the superhero genre still has a lot to say." Enthusiasts are already buzzing about what the guest appearances and special cameos could signify for both the spin-off and original programme. One fan wrote: " I like that 'Starlight is now canonically leading this underground resistance post President-Homelander. And I love that we're finally properly 'crossing over both shows!" Another commented: " Very cool to see Starlight and Noir." Whilst a third observed: "For Andre" hit hard. Chance Perdomo will be missed.". Gen V season two launches on Prime Video from September 17

Luke Littler's actions spotted during interval at World Matchplay final speak volumes
Luke Littler won the World Matchplay at the first attempt on Sunday night, beating James Wade 18-13 in the final in Blackpool, but one fan spotted his classy act during a break in play Luke Littler appears to have captured a legion of new fans after his World Matchplay triumph on Sunday. The teenage sensation was at the heart of a charm offensive as he was spotted signing autographs for the crowd during a break in play. The 18-year-old elevated his extraordinary career to dizzying new heights in Blackpool, defeating James Wade 18-13, whilst his family and new girlfriend, with whom he went public with recently, cheered him on. Afterwards he paid tribute to icon of the game, Phil Taylor. The Warrington-born star has now entered an exclusive club in the game alongside Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries as only the fifth player to clinch the coveted triple crown, comprising the Matchplay, Premier League and World Championship. Littler's path to glory proved utterly dramatic, with Wade racing into a commanding 5-0 advantage before the teenager reeled off five straight legs to level proceedings. After edging 7-6 ahead, Littler weathered a stern fightback from his opponent before ultimately sealing the silverware with four consecutive legs, reports the Express. Yet it was his heartwarming gesture during the interval that truly endeared him to the audience, as Littler made time for those in attendance despite having no obligation to do so. One poster on X wrote: "Littler signing autographs during the interval is very classy btw, not many players do that." Littler's touching display of humility demonstrates that, regardless of his meteoric rise to stardom, he remains thoroughly grounded. The reaction proved overwhelmingly positive, with one fan posting in response: "Yeah I was surprised at that. Josh Rock didn't even do it after he won!" Littler had stumbled to 5-0 down in his semi-final against Rock on Saturday too. Yet he signed off in style, hitting a sublime nine-dart finish to clinch the match 17-14. By winning the title after a series of stunning comebacks, Littler is now the youngest champion in Matchplay annals. The 'Nuke' is actually six years younger than Wade himself was when he won the accolade in 2007. Speaking after his victory, he told Sky Sports what the achievement means to him. "Phil [Taylor] is my idol – he won here 16 times and now my name will be on this trophy," Littler said. "Since I started on the tour and got my tour card I've always said to myself, 'As long as I win one of every major I'll be happy.' I've only got a few left to tick off and I'll definitely chase the majors I haven't won yet." On winning the competition by mounting yet another breathtaking comeback, he added: "Five-nil down once again, I said, 'I've been here before, what are you doing?' "But I managed to pull it out of the bag and win the next five. I've shown I can come back from 5-0 or 7-3 down. I'm happy I can pull myself out of these scorelines, but I don't want to be 5-0 down again."

Lewis Capaldi puts Noel Gallagher feud behind him at Oasis gig with famous pal
The Scots singer was spotted smiling with The View frontman Kyle Falconer. Lewis Capaldi and Noel Gallagher's infamous public feud hit headlines back in 2019 but appears to now be put to bed as Lewis attended the Oasis Live 25 tour in London. The Someone You Loved singer and The View frontman Kyle Falconer were spotted smiling for the camera at Wembley stadium as they waited for Oasis to take to stage at the weekend. Kyle and his wife Laura shared the snaps on Instagram as the doting dad took his young daughter Wylde to see her favourite band. Many fans would be surprised to see Lewis at the gig given his feud with the eldest Gallagher brother, Noel. Their spat first began when Noel said during an interview on Radio X in 2019 that he didn't know who Capaldi was. Despite Lewis' debut album ,Divinely Unexpired to a Hellish Extent, having just peaked at number one in the UK and Ireland, making it the fastest selling album of the year, Noel said: "Music is f***ing w*** at the moment". He then insulted the Glasgow-born star as he said: "Who's this Capaldi fella? Who the f***'s that idiot?" However, in true Capaldi fashion, the Scots singer left fans rolling about laughing as he took to his Instagram stories to celebrate Noel's comments in a sarcastic manner. While watching the interview, he responded: "F***ing c'mon! F***ing peaked – slagged off by Noel Gallagher! "Number 1 single – who gives a f***? Number 1 album – who gives a f***? Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. This is dreams coming true." Capaldi didn't stop there as he wished Gallagher a happy Father's Day while he filmed himself enjoying Oasis' 2002 hit 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'. Noel was quick to hit back with a tweet that poked fun at Capaldi's track Someone You Loved. He captioned the post: "@LewisCapaldi you big daftie. You might wanna try and find some joy in your tunes, you're destroying the 11yr old is in bits." Lewis further tormented the High Flying Birds frontman with a backstage photo beside his then-estranged brother and former Oasis bandmate, Liam Gallagher. A furious Noel referenced Capaldi's stunt in an interview with Variety and took things a step further as he poked fun at Lewis' appearance. He said: "F****** Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes. The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. "It's the greatest day of his f****** life so far. He's just thinking 'wow'. "Well, I know you're Scottish and all that but f****** hell. It is like a third world country but for f***'s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely." Despite their public jibes, Lewis and Noel have met a few times since, with Noel later branding Lewis as a "good lad" despite his previous comments. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
