Police identify victim in Tuesday's fatal crash
According to police, 36-year-old Jonathan Walls died Tuesday from injuries he sustained in a vehicle crash on Tuesday, Feb. 25. WFPD spokesman SGT. Brett Keith said around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on Fairway Boulevard, near Ingleside Drive.
They found Walls unconscious in the driver's seat of the Pontiac G6 he was driving. He was transported to United Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses told officers Walls was seen driving southbound on Fairway and crossed into the northbound lanes before hitting a tree.
This is the first fatality crash in Wichita Falls this year.

2 stabbed in violent food court altercation inside Southern California mall

Deadly crash on I-15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch prompts lane closure
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A major crash thwarted traffic on southbound Interstate 15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch on Sunday morning, prompting a temporary lane closure and leaving at least one person dead, authorities said. According to California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 9 a.m. near Camino del Norte and involved four vehicles. Initial reports indicated that three vehicles were involved in a crash in the carpool lane when a fourth vehicle collided with one of the already-disabled cars.
