Police have launched a search for him and have appealed for assistance from the public.The force said Mr Dawson had a dark-coloured rucksack and usually wears a baseball cap or a straw hat.Insp Graham Brown said: "Concerns are growing for his welfare and extensive inquiries are ongoing to trace him, including assistance from mountain rescue."We are asking anyone who may have seen Richard to get in touch. Also, if anyone spoke to him and he mentioned his plans then let us know."

I'm done with their excuses. As governor, I'll make sure they're behind bars, not running wild,' he wrote. 'Our cops will have the green light to restore order—no apologies. 'That person ought to go to jail for a very long time - and frankly, he's lucky there weren't some better people around because they would've handled it themselves. 'We have got to make great American cities safe again for families and children, the only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engage in that violence and throw their asses in prison.' In the shocking clip, a man in a white t-shirt is can be seen being shoved to ground by two men and repeatedly beaten as other members of the crowd jeer and join in. The gang beat the man for nearly a minute as he lay in the middle of the street, seemingly stepping on his head multiple times. When the barrage of attacks temporarily stopped, he is seen attempting to stand - but immediately fell over in apparent disorientation. One attacker yelled out 'my man's drunk'. A woman in a black dress rushed to his aid, but was attacked by the crowd, suffering two blows to the face. The impact caused her to fall, with her head slamming the pavement. She became unconscious as blood spewed from her mouth. The Friday night assault at the intersection of Fourth and Elm Streets started with a verbal dispute between at least two men, according to police. The carnage left at least two people, the unidentified male and female victim, injured. A good Samaritan rushed them to a local hospital in the aftermath, WKRC reported. Investigators have also received tips on some of the attackers' identities, Kober said. 'I would ask... that the public play a part in this, because stuff like this shouldn't happen in our city, but when it does, we need people to step forward, that way we can bring these people to justice.' Kober argued there is 'no place in society' for the violence displayed Friday night and, in separate remarks to WLWT, called the brawl 'disgusting'. End Wokeness posted a tweet early Sunday afternoon claiming CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox News, The New York Times and The Washington Post, among others, had failed to cover the attack. By late Sunday evening the terrifying assault had been covered by several local and national media outlets, including the Daily Mail and Fox News. The central business district and riverfront area where the assault took place has seen a 25 percent increase in violence compared to last year, according to Cincinnati police data published July 21. The data also shows that there were 12 aggravated assaults in the city between January 1 through July 21, compared to 16 during the same time period last year.

Parents' terror as nursery goes into lockdown amid quadruple stabbing in London that left two men dead and a third fighting for his life in hospital
A mother has revealed she was 'terrified' after receiving a call from her two-year-old son's nursery to say that there had been a fatal quadruple stabbing outside a business just minutes away. Emergency services rushed to Long Lane, Southwark, south London, at around 1pm on Monday after receiving reports of a stabbing which has since left two men dead. When police and medics arrived on the road, which is near to London Bridge and Tower Bridge, they discovered that four people had suffered stab wounds. As a result, a 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene before a 27-year-old man later died in hospital - sparking the launch of a murder probe by detectives. The man who has been detained in connection with the incident, who police say is in his 30s, is in a critical condition and fighting for his life in hospital. Meanwhile, the other man, also in his 30s, has suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. However, the stabbing has shaken some locals so badly that they have revealed they are now considering fleeing the area over safety concerns. One concerned mother who lives nearby told MailOnline how she heard of the stabbing through her child's nursery, which lies just minutes away from the scene which last night was crawling with forensics officers. The mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said: '[The nursery] sent us an alert while I was at work saying that there'd been a stabbing and that the roads would be cordoned off. 'It's terrifying. When I walked down to the nursery I was trying to find out information about whether it was targeted or random, because you hear a lot about stabbings in London. 'The police said there had been a stabbing and that it's a very serious incident, but the danger has been contained. 'It's really shocking. To have this in an area where I'm raising a child makes me worry that I shouldn't be living somewhere like this now that we have a family.' Natasha Ennin, Southwark Council's cabinet member for community safety and neighbourhoods, said she was 'horrified and deeply saddened' by the deaths in the borough. She added that her 'heartfelt condolences' go out to the families and friends of those involved and called on anyone with information to report it. The area was cordoned off with police tape last night, with Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond of the Met saying investigations are underway to discover the full circumstances of the 'shocking incident'. She continued: 'At this point, we do not believe it to be terrorism-related and there is no further risk to the public. 'There will be a heavy police presence in the area throughout [Monday] and I would encourage anyone with information to speak with officers or contact the Met by other means.' A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: 'We were called at 1.04pm (28 July) to reports of a stabbing on Long Lane, SE1. 'We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, incident response officers, a command support vehicle and paramedics from our tactical response unit. 'We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London's Air Ambulance, which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car. 'We treated four people at the scene. We took three patients to major trauma centres as a priority. Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.' At least three victims shot in mid-Manhattan skyscraper; suspect 'neutralized'
NEW YORK, July 28 (Reuters) - A person who opened fire inside a midtown Manhattan skyscraper housing the National Football League headquarters and offices of several major financial institutions, including hedge fund giant Blackstone, has been "neutralized," the New York city police commissioner said. Police did not immediately make details of the shooting public, but a law enforcement source told Reuters at least one New York Police Department officer and two civilians were struck by gunfire and that the suspect was believed to be dead. The source said the information was preliminary, and the condition or extent of injuries sustained by the police officer and two others was not immediately known. The New York Post newspaper, citing unnamed police sources, reported that a gunman wearing a bullet-resistant vest and carrying an AR-style rifle had opened fire inside the Park Avenue skyscraper, wounding a police officer and a bystander. The Post reported they were in critical condition. The gunman, the Post reported, had barricaded himself inside the office tower, possibly on the 32nd floor of the building. A short time later, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Disch said on X: "At this time, the scene has been contained and the lone shooter has been neutralized." The skyscraper at 345 Park Avenue houses a number of financial firms, including Blackstone, the world's largest hedge fund, as well as KPMG and Deutsche Bank, along with the NFL headquarters and the Consulate General of Ireland. News media footage showed a large police presence in the area around the office tower. "There is an active shooter investigation taking place in Midtown right now," New York Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement on social media platform X as news of the shooting first surfaced. The FBI said agents from its New York field office were also responding to provide support at the scene.
