OnePlus Nord CE5 in for review
For those unaware, the Nord series goes Nord > Nord CE > Nord CE Lite, making the Nord CE5 the younger sibling of the Nord 5 in features, performance, and pricing.
The Nord CE5 comes in a packaging that is nearly identical to that of the Nord 5. It was actually quite easy to mix up the two boxes while taking these pictures since the actual name of the phone is only printed on the side and the back, while the front has the same basic Nord logo printed thrice, in case you miss it the first two times.
Inside, once again, we find a very similar setup to that of the Nord 5 packaging. You get the phone along with the same 80W fast charger and USB cable. There is also a color-matched case in blue.
The color, called Nexus Blue, is a striking shade of blue that is bordering on violet. This color does not do any tricks with light and textures but its simplicity is still quite fetching. The materials used here aren't anything fancy; you are looking at a plastic frame and a plastic back, but both have a pleasing texture that make them feel nice in hand.
The Nord CE5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset with LPDDR5X memory. The phone features a massive 7100mAh battery, which OnePlus claims charges in just 59 minutes with the provided 80W charger. On the back is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 camera with OIS and 4K 60fps HDR video recording.
More details will be revealed next week as the Nord CE5 launches alongside the Nord 5. Check back later for our full review on both devices.

Here's when the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 is coming
Nothing unveiled the Nothing Phone (3) yesterday as its first true flagship, and it comes with the promise of five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. However, despite the stable release of Android 16 by Google, the Nothing Phone (3) boots Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. While Nothing hasn't provided a specific release date for Android 16 for its smartphones, it has revealed the timeframe for its rollout. During yesterday's launch, Carl Pei, Founder and CEO of Nothing, revealed that Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, is coming "later this autumn." It's safe to say that the Nothing Phone (3) will be the first in line to receive Nothing OS 4.0, with the rollout expanding to older models later. The Nothing Phone (3) will be available for pre-order starting July 4, with sales commencing on July 15. The Phone (3)'s key highlights include the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a 6.67" 120Hz 1,260p OLED screen, four 50MP cameras, and a 5,150 mAh battery (5,500 mAh in India).
