'I went by what I thought my wife would want me to do. Whether they agree with the way I did it, that's up to them. I know my wife better than anybody, I know her better than I know myself, and I did what I genuinely thought was right.
'I've been with my wife for 28 years. In that 28 years I've never lifted a finger to her.
'I'D TAKE A LIE DETECTOR'
'I was brought up in a home, yes there were arguments between my mother and father, but never any violence. That's what I wanted for my wife, a good, loving marriage.
'I'd take a lie detector, my house has been searched without my knowledge. The Gardai found nothing untoward. We live on the Main Street, they can see the comings and goings, I don't know why people are being malicious.'
Reporter Paul asked him in another interview on November 30, 2017: 'Did you kill Tina Satchwell?'
Mr Satchwell replied: 'Never. I'd never lay a finger on her.'
He also said: 'She's been my life since meeting her, even since before I spoke to her I knew I loved her.
'My dream came true. Since the day we got married, it's been one long honeymoon. Like that since the day I met her.'
And he said of Christmas: 'If Tina's not there I'm not celebrating it. This Xmas won't be Xmas for me.
'I have never once in nearly 30 years of being together laid a finger on her. The most I've ever done is love the bones of her.'
'COULD NEVER LAY A FINGER ON MY WIFE'
He was asked by Susan Keogh on Today FM, in a chat which aired on March 18, 2018, if he ever hurt Tina and he answered: 'I never would.'
The presenter then asked if he killed Tina, and he replied: 'No. I could never lay a finger on my wife. No one has ever once seen a tiny bruise on her body.'
Another interview played out today saw Mr Satchwell sobbing as he told RTE's Crimecall that his 'arms are open' when Tina wanted to return home.
Speaking to the show, which aired on July 25, 2017, he said: 'It's been three months. Tina come home, nobody is mad at you.
'My arms are open, the pets are missing you. Even just ring the guards, everything will be alright.'
Another interview with Neil Prendeville aired on Cork's Red FM on March 12, 2018 — nearly a year after Tina was reported missing. In it,
Mr Satchwell said: 'She was a great woman. I've not got a bad word to say about her.
'She could have a flash temper, she could hit you, then she'd be crying apologising. The most thing I've ever done to her is hold her tight until she calmed down.'
'I HAVE STARTED PRAYING'
Mr Prendeville spoke to him as Gardai were searching Mitchell's Woods, outside Castlemartyr in Cork, for any evidence which would help in their investigation.
The host said he didn't believe Tina was alive and asked how he would feel if cops found a body.
He said: 'I'd be an emotional wreck. Suicide, no suicide, even without suicide, I wouldn't last six months. All I can do is stay at home and wait for the phone to ring, hope. I don't go to church but I have started praying.'
Asked if he was ever in jail, he replied: 'Yes, I was caught for social welfare. I was working while claiming social welfare
'I think I'd sooner be there than where I am now. I was there for a month, in Cork.
'She (Tina) didn't come up to see me, I asked her not to. It's not an environment I wanted her to be in. We spoke every night, five or ten minutes. I've never denied to anybody that I've been in prison.'
Mr Satchwell also appeared on Ireland AM on TV3 on March 8, 2018, as the search in Mitchell's Wood was taking place.
Asked by presenter Mark Cagney if he felt he was a suspect, he said: 'No. Now I feel I'm not. Anything the guards have asked for I'm providing.
'I THINK SHE PLANNED TO GO'
'When I visited our GP, I don't know if Tina had said anything to him, he told me I was right to give her the time before I went to the guards. I have to believe (she's still alive) because I'm not mentally strong enough to think the other.
'Mental illness is one of the things I won't talk about, within the family.'
During a number of interviews for the programme, Mr Satchwell told reporter Barry Cummins: 'We were really upset after our parrot Peal died, we cried for weeks. We had an autopsy done.
'Then a parrot came up on the internet and we called it Valentine, because we bought it on Valentine's Day.'
Speaking about the day Tina vanished, Mr Satchwell said he had been plastering the stairs when she came down and asked him to go to the shops in Dungarvan, Co Waterford.
He told the show: 'I think she planned to go.
'I think it was playing in the back of her mind for a long time and something clicked that morning, I do.'
'I BUILT MY LIFE AROUND HER'
Asked how he was feeling, he said: 'Lonely, very lonely, because I built my life around her. When that's gone, you've got nothing.
'I've never once in nearly 30 years of being together laid a finger on her. As far as I'm concerned my wife is out there somewhere and will come back.
'I truly believe that. Just get in touch. I believe there is somebody out there who does know where she is.'

The lad fell just after midnight, and two ambulances rushed to the scene. Tragically, there was nothing they could do to save him. Local police confirmed this morning he was a British national - but gave no further details on his identity. In a separate incident, Evan Thomson, 26, fell to his death at the same hotel exactly two weeks ago. It's understood he had been celebrating on holiday with pals following his birthday last month. Tragically, he too was pronounced dead at the scene. His mum Lel Kellighan broke the sad news on social media a few days later, saying: 'I'm absolutely heartbroken to write and tell you all, earlier this week my son Evan was in a tragic accident whilst on holiday with his friends in Ibiza and sadly passed away. Most read in The Sun 'We are all absolutely broken. Please allow us some time.' In the days after Evan's death, his loved ones raised questions about safety at Ibiza Rocks, and was critical over the hotel's handling of the situation. Evan's sister Teila said: 'Ibiza is known for its partying and it just stuns me that they don't have higher safety precautions. 'Pray nobody else suffers. And, once it did happen, the hotel's response was just completely heartbreaking; almost as if it never happened. I pray no other family has to go through this." Friend Blair Robertson, 25, who had been with Evan before he died, claimed: 'Security took us away to front desk. Paramedics didn't arrive for about 30 minutes. "Forensic officers didn't speak English. We were just standing there, not knowing what was going on. Reception gave us false hope." And a THIRD young Brit died from a fall in San Antonio last Monday. The 25-year-old died in hospital from injuries sustained when he fell from a supermarket car park in the town the previous day. He was rushed to an intensive care unit at a private island hospital following the incident. The clinic confirmed he died from his injuries, saying last Monday: 'Regrettably and despite all the efforts of medical personnel, the patient who fell yesterday in San Antonio has died due to the severity of his injuries." Man who caused death of niece weeks after she gave birth is gangster's brother

Criminal Assets Bureau claimed that sibling was involved in massive money-laundering operation A MAN who admitted causing the death of his niece after ramming steel gates with a van is the younger brother of a Limerick gangland figure. Danny O'Donoghue (42) pleaded guilty this week to dangerous driving causing the death of 21-year-old Marguerita O'Rourke in Rathkeale just days before Christmas. He also admitted possession of a machete, making threats to kill and causing criminal damage to a van. O'Donoghue who has been in custody since his arrest last December is due to be sentenced in October. His brother John O'Donoghue is a convicted drug dealer who has also been targeted by the Criminal Assets Bureau. John recently spent time in Portlaoise Prison before a conviction for a feud-related attack in Rathkeale was quashed on appeal and he was set free last year. His brother Danny appeared by video-link from the same prison this week at Limerick Circuit Court. John O'Donoghue Marguerita O'Rourke, who had her first child just three weeks earlier, had been closing steel gates to a property when Danny O'Donoghue hit the gates, killing her. The property is not far from the house where John O'Donoghue lives and which has been the target of an attempted pipe bomb attack in the past. It was also the scene of raid by the Criminal Assets Bureau. During his two years behind bars, it also emerged in a Cab case that John O'Donoghue was regarded as significant player in massive money laundering scheme. The senior investigating officer also described O'Donoghue as being 'closely associated' with Eds McCarthy, a leading figure in the McCarthy-Dundon gang. In the Cab case against a car firm, Bawn Motors, it was highlighted how O'Donoghue had 'established himself as a key figure in the international drugs trade' and has 'extensive criminal contacts with the wider Traveller community'. It was also stated he had met with Chirsty Keane, the leading member of Limerick's Keane gang at a Rathkeale pub along with one of Keane's most trusted lieutenants Dermot 'Pum' McManus. Flowers at Marguerita's funeral Since Marguerite's death family members have continued to post heartfelt tributes to the young woman expressing their huge sense of loss. Even this as news of the court case went online this week one woman commented: 'My beautiful sister you didn't deserve this l love you so much forever in my heart.' Her death last Christmas came after a number of incidents of violence in the Co Limerick town during the traditional influx of people ahead of Christmas. A house was damaged and in a shocking incident in which a BMW X5 was used to smash into property and was then set alight in November. In October a truck was used to damage a property in another incident and petrol bombs thrown at a house. Three years ago, Rathkeale saw a terrifying incident during the Christmas period in which a series of vehicles were rammed and written off. The Sunday World revealed at the time that the incident came as part of a three-way fight for dominance between criminal gangs. In a video of the aftermath a machete was visible lying on the road. Just a few weeks before Ms O'Rourke's tragic death, a man was attacked by hurley-wielding assailants and his car smashed up in the town. Marguerita O'Rourke (née Sheridan) Today's News in 90 Seconds - July 21st At one point there were plans to close a number of roads in the town as part of a garda operation did not go ahead after objections from local residents. Ms O'Rourke's funeral became a memorable as well as a huge vigil in the Co Limerick town, where balloons were released into the sky. Among the many heartfelt tributes online was one from her brother Freddy, who said at the time it had taken him days to able to put his feelings into words. He said that Christmas would never be the same, 'not just Christmas; my life will never be the same' and that she had left behind 'a very special boy.' He added that he couldn't believe he was saying 'rest in peace, our Marguerita.' Her father John paid tribute to the people who had shown such public support for the family for the daughter he described as 'a true legend.' Hundreds of family and friends turned out on Christmas at a candlelit vigil in the town on Christmas Eve. In a social media post he thanked 'the gardaí, nurses, doctors, priests, the settled people in Rathkeale, the Travelling people and everyone for their messages. 'The local shops, hotels for everything and everyone who called to my house and everyone over the world, thank you.'
