Muncy hit a grand slam against the Colorado Rockies Wednesday. It was his second grand slam in three games, per Dodgers Nation.
LA's third baseman drove in 6 runs, leading the team to an 8-1 win over Colorado. And in the Dodgers' series finale against the Washington Nationals, Muncy went off for 2 home runs (1 grand slam) and 7 RBI. It was his second 7-RBI game in 22 days. That's the least amount of time between 7-RBI games since 1951.

In the last three games Muncy has gone 6-13 with 3 home runs (2 grand slams), 13 RBI and 6 runs scored. The two-time All-Star now has 4 multi-homer games this season, all in the last month. Wednesday marked the third time Muncy had 6 or more RBI in a game this year.

The 10th-year veteran is making up for a slow start in which he went homer-less over the first month of the season. Muncy has slowly been heating up. After producing a .684 OPS in April, he posted an .851 OPS in May. And he's been on an absolute tear in June.
Entering Wednesday's matchup against the Rockies, Muncy was slashing .317/.457/.603 this month. He now has 6 home runs, 20 RBI and 22 runs scored in 22 June games. The hot streak has raised his batting average 30 points as he's now hitting .250 with an .820 OPS on the season. Muncy has 12 home runs, 51 RBI and 2.5 bWAR in 76 games.
The Dodgers have also been hot of late. After dominating the division all season, the San Francisco Giants pulled into a tie for first place with LA on June 13. The Dodgers responded by winning nine of their next 11 games. Los Angeles won its series against the Giants 2-1 and took three of four games against the San Diego Padres in that span.
The Dodgers took back control of the division with the hot streak. After beating the Rockies Wednesday, LA has a 5.5 game lead over the Giants and the Padres, who are tied for second place in the NL West.

At No. 25 is offensive lineman Jordan 25 Jordan Morgan, OL Last season Morgan, Green Bay's first round draft pick in 2024, played in just six games before going on the injured reserve list Nov. 16 with a shoulder injury. Morgan, a left tackle at Arizona, was given every chance to win the Packers' right guard job last summer. That didn't happen, though, and he split time with Sean Rhyan early in the season. Morgan averaged 24.2 snaps per game in the five contests he split time with Rhyan. Then he started and played all 65 snaps at left guard in Week 9 against Detroit when Elgton Jenkins moved to center for an injured Josh Myers. After a bye in Week 10, though, Morgan went on the injured reserve list ending his rookie to date Morgan was strictly a left tackle in college and allowed just two sacks in 787 total snaps in 2023. Morgan led Arizona's offensive line in total blocking grade that season (84.3), run-blocking grade (77.0), and pass-blocking grade (87.3) per Pro Football Focus. His overall offensive blocking grade (84.3) was fifth in the Pac-12, his pass-blocking grade (87.3) was also fifth in the Pac-12 and he was named first-team all-conference. In Morgan's final two years with the Wildcats, he allowed just three sacks in 880 pass-blocking snaps. Morgan is a high-level athlete, but his arms are extremely short compared to most left tackles. Many teams want their left tackles to have 34-inch arms, but Morgan's are 32' 7/8', meaning his best spot could eventually be as an interior lineman. Still, Green Bay believes Morgan can play left tackle, and the Packers will give him a chance to prove it this summer. 'Well, certainly, I mean, it's something we feel like he can do,' LaFleur said. 'Otherwise we wouldn't do it. So we'll let them battle it out and see where it goes.'Outlook One of the more fascinating battles of training camp will be Morgan trying to dislodge two-year starter Rasheed Walker from the left tackle position. Walker has been serviceable the past two seasons, but will be a free agent after the 2025 campaign ends. So if Morgan wins the job, it could benefit Green Bay both short and long term. Walker won't be easy to unseat, though. And the Packers aren't going to simply hand Morgan the job based on his lofty draft status and Walker's likely exit in free agency. If Morgan wins the left tackle job, he'll climb several spots on this list. The guess here, though, is Walker keeps the job and Morgan is the Packers' top backup at multiple Said It … 'Sometimes it looks like he's not straining or playing hard. I think it's just natural, it's easy for him to just move, to gain ground, to just skim the blades of the grass. It's effortless. Really like where he's headed and the direction he's going. 'He understands what needs to be done. I'm not going to go into details. That's for him to tell, if he decides to. But for me, I'm excited for him to do what he needs to do,' Minasian said. The announcement comes after Washington, 73, stepped away from his managerial duties on June 20 over health concerns. Ray Montgomery, who has been with the Angels since 2021, will take over as interim manager, and Ryan Goins will step up as bench coach. 'It's obviously tough news and the focus is on Wash and making sure he gets what he needs right now,' Montgomery said, per 'Honestly, it's like a transactional piece. I'm looking at it as we have a game to play today. A week ago, when this started, we had the same mindset, and nothing's really changed.
