BRIDE YOUR TIME The 12 best & cheapest high street wedding dresses – including £27 Shein gown that looks way more expensive & royal dupe
GETTING married is all fun and games - before you discover you may have to fork out a small fortune on a wedding dress.
As a bride-to-be already sweating at the price of canapes and flowers for my big day, I decided to turn to the high street for my bridal gown - and LOVED what I discovered.

On average, brides in the UK spend between £1,300 and £1,500 on their wedding dress, with some designers even charging upwards of £10,000 for their gowns.
Considering I'm going to wear mine for a matter of hours, I challenged myself to see what I could find for under £150.
From Asos and Shein, to Coast and River Island, there were so many stylish options available for brides on a budget.
I even find a host of short ones that looked perfect for a registry office or intimate elopement - many with cute bows on the back.

Here are some of my tops finds, that would be perfect for any bride to say 'I do' to...

It was so comfortable to wear and I immediately sent pics to my friends and showed them to stylish train too.
Out of all the high street shops, I found that Coast had one of the biggest wedding dress ranges, and were handily stocked on numerous retailers like Boohoo, Debenhams and John Lewis, so would really recommend having a look.

ITV's 'most expensive flop in years' fronted by David Tennant facing the axe after getting fewer viewers than niche nature documentary
The show described as ITV's 'most expensive flop in years' is facing the axe after drawing in fewer viewers than a BBC documentary about pangolins. Hosted by David Tennant, The Genius Game is reported to have cost £2.5 million to make, but despite the huge investment, it had average viewership numbers of 661,000 after a promising start. This matched the viewership figures of BBC2's Pangolins: The World's Most Wanted Animal, which examines the plight of the endangered animals also known as scaly anteaters. An insider told The Sun: 'Publicly ITV maintains that no firm decision has been taken, but most execs and commissioners view it as a disaster. 'Not only did it occupy a primetime 9pm slot, it had a big-name host and was seen as a potential rival for BBC 's The Traitors. 'But of the five main channels on June 11, it was beaten by two and equalled by BBC2, thanks to those pangolins.' The Genius Game is intellect-based and sees contestants put their IQ to the test in never-before-seen games and manipulate each other for a cash prize, but many found it confusing and difficult to understand. While the show had a promising 1.5 million viewers when it first aired in April, by the second episode this number had plummeted to 846,000 viewers. To put this into context compared to other primetime TV shows, BBC1's Race Across The World attracted 4.2 million viewers at the same time. ITV has said: 'No decision has yet been made.' News of the show's uncertain future comes after its broadcast schedule was changed amid plummeting viewer numbers. When it first premiered, Genius Game was set to air on Wednesday and Thursday. But now, there was a change in the schedule and it was subsequently only broadcast on Wednesday evenings. Jeremy Clarkson's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? celebrity specials were then moved into its Thursday slot for two weeks in May. The shake-up meant the show was spread out over seven weeks instead of four. It comes after many viewers during the first episode took issue with the new program and commented on how 'complicated' it seemed, with many not understanding the premise It comes after many viewers during the first episode took issue with the program and commented on how 'complicated' it seemed, with many not understanding the premise. Some took to social media to share their concerns and posted on X: 'Just starting this. Seems very complicated. I'll watch it out but not looking good tbh #GeniusGame.' One watcher turned off the show in just ten minutes and penned: 'Bye bye.' Others said: 'Sorry #GeniusGame it's a no from me, way too complicated for that time of night, I need mindless entertainment after a busy day, ITV should've just extended #CBBUK instead.' 'I'm struggling to understand. I'm clearly no genius, the rules on rules on rules are something else #GeniusGame.' The MailOnline has reached out to ITV for comment.

During the conversation on Love Island, Emma made Harry Cooksley admit to several huge revelations that came up. She claimed that he cheated when he brought girls into the home they previously shared together. "The fact of the matter is, you've brought girls into our home, and I wouldn't do that to you, because that was the rules, and you think the rules don't apply to you. "It's my house, Harry. You think as soon as there's a boundary in place, cross it? "You think, 'oh yes, let me just f*** this up', like there's just no need for any other woman to be in my house." As he tried to assure her that he would 'be there', she later corrected his version of the timeline of their relationship. He told her: "You don't have very high thoughts of me, or you don't think a lot of me, but I am here. I think I said that in the letter to you years ago." To which she replied: "Years ago? You mean in February?" Adding: "We make the choice not to be together because we know that you can't give me what I need, and that's why it's not because we don't love each other, we have to like, be strong enough to like, stand on that decision." Love Island's Harry makes cheeky comment to new girl after she reveals she hasn't kissed anyone in a YEAR Fans of the show took to social media in droves as they were left completely flabbergasted by the semi-pro footballers past behaviour. As a fourth claimed: "Harry had to be TOLD not to bring girls into his GIRLFRIENDS house and he still did it." While someone else added: "Lmaooooooo Harry was sending letters to his ex in February???" After Harry remarked that he was actually happy that his former partner was in the villa, she started to speak about their relationship. This comes after Harry previously confirmed that he was the one who cheated on his ex-girlfriend. The fact of the matter is, you've brought girls into our home, and I wouldn't do that to you Emma Munro During the couple's brunch, he opened up on his previous relationship to his on and off love interest Helena, After he admitted that he was in love with his ex, she questioned whether that was the one "he cheated on in the first week". Harry answered: "Yeah, a week in. Then we were together for almost three years after that." 5 She was left heartbroken after the semi-pro footballer cheated on her Credit: ITV2

Posting on social media, the fashion fan revealed her 'life hack for the girlies' as she got candid on Shein's Quickship feature. Stunned by her findings after browsing Shein's website, she said: 'Please tell me I'm not the only one who's just realised this on Shein - Quickship.' Natalie then added: 'Who knew that if you wanted your goods from Shein, there was a section where you can order from Quickship, where your goods come in a number of days rather than a number of weeks.' Following this, the content creator simply confirmed: 'I didn't.' Thanks to Shein Quickship, shoppers will see items be delivered to their door in as little as three to five working days. Shoppers will find a variety of items available under Quickship, including epic clearance deals, with clothes that have been reduced by up to 70%. Quickship comes at no extra cost to Shein shoppers - but of course, standard shipping fees apply - and there are thousands of great buys to browse and choose from. So if you've got an event coming up soon and don't have time to wait for a new frock, you'll need to check this out - and fast. Natalie's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @nat_albarudi_southern, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 157,900 views. Ugly side of fashion giant Shein revealed as retailer slammed by rivals for 'unfair tactics' to keep prices low It's also amassed 2,926 likes, 188 comments, 596 shares and 4,947 shares. Social media users were stunned by the little-known Shein feature and many eagerly raced to the comments to express this. One person said: 'Thank you for this video! God send.' I will be using that from now on as I order off Shein all the time TikTok user Another added: 'Literally about to make an order!! Thank you, I had no clue this was a thing.' A third commented: 'Wish I knew this 15mins ago.' Meanwhile, one Shein shopper wrote: 'I'll be shopping even more now! I never knew this!' What is Shein and is it legit? Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world. The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M. The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu. Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam. But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews. There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag. At the same time, another Shein lover beamed: "I will be using that from now on as I order off Shein all the time." However, one user claimed: "Just had a look. Items are so much dearer." But to this, Natalie wrote back and confirmed: "But still cheaper than high street shops and I have to be honest, Shein's options are so much better than what I have on my local high street."
