Allen recognised Itauma's talent, but believes he should take a more calculated root to a shot at a world title.
He added: 'We haven't even seen him box for a British title yet. Demsey McKean is British title level, he shouldn't be in that conversation for Joseph Parker yet.

Craig Casey: Georgia clash a 'huge opportunity' for experimental Ireland

Craig Casey has challenged his side to lay down a marker as he prepares to captain Ireland for the first time in Saturday's Test against Georgia in Tbilisi. Munster scrum-half Casey will lead out an Irish squad showing six uncapped players in the matchday 23 at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium. With head coach Andy Farrell and some of his assistants away on the British and Irish Lions tour in Australia, Ireland forwards coach Paul O'Connell has taken temporary charge for the two Tests, which also sees a trip to face Portugal in Lisbon next week. Connacht's Darragh Murray and Leinster wing Tommy O'Brien have been handed their first caps in the starting XV against Georgia, while forwards Michael Milne, Jack Aungier, Tom Ahern and scrum-half Ben Murphy are among the replacements hoping to make their debut. With some 16 players on Lions duty – prop Finlay Bealham having been drafted in as a replacement for injured Scotsman Zander Fagerson – the July summer series fixtures were always going to be about having one eye on the future. Casey takes over the Irish captaincy from Caelan Doris, who was a contender to skipper the Lions until being ruled out of the tour by a shoulder injury. "Georgia will bring their game and I imagine their fans are going to make it a special occasion for them, so they will be delighted to have Ireland over and try to knock us off" Despite all of the changes and the sense of occasion for Ireland's newcomers, Casey, 26, maintains the players must be fully focused on the job in hand. "I don't think we have changed anything for them (the debutants)," Casey told a press conference. "It is a special week for them and their families and it is unbelievable for them to make their first caps. "It is a huge opportunity for all of us, but it is a massive privilege for us to put on the Irish jersey at any stage. "It is huge week for them – and it is up to the rest of us to lay down a marker and make it a special one for them." Ireland had been using a heat chamber to help prepare the squad for the expected humidity in Tbilisi, but heavy rain has followed their arrival in Georgia. Whatever the conditions come kick-off on Saturday, Casey insists Ireland must be set to stand up to a stern challenge. "We are expecting them to be probably up the walls with physicality," Casey said. "They have got some really big threats. Their number 15 (Davit) Niniashvili is a high-class player. He has shown it in the Top 14 and he has shown it in Europe. "They have got a back row that are going to contest probably every breakdown. If we are on our breakdown, we will have a good day, but we will have to do a lot of work there. "Georgia will bring their game and I imagine their fans are going to make it a special occasion for them, so they will be delighted to have Ireland over and try to knock us off."

Christian Horner: Max Verstappen ‘clear' about ending his F1 career in a Red Bull

Christian Horner said Max Verstappen has made it clear that he wants to end his Formula One career in a Red Bull amid interest from rivals' Mercedes. Verstappen's future is under scrutiny ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix with Red Bull under-performing and Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff making moves for the Dutchman. George Russell is out of contract at the end of the year but the Englishman is extremely confident he will be retained, while his team-mate, rookie Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli, also believes he will drive for Mercedes in 2026. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner spoke to the media at Silverstone on Friday (Bradley Collyer/PA) Verstappen has a deal with Red Bull which runs until 2028, although a performance clause could activate an early release. Verstappen is third in the world championship, 61 points title leader Oscar Piastri. However, Horner said: 'Max has a contract until 2028, and he has made it quite clear that he would like to finish his career in a Red Bull car, from start to finish. That is something which is unique and special to him. 'Max has been with Red Bull since the start of his career, his success has come with Red Bull, he is a big part of our team and he has a great deal of faith in the team and the people around him. 'So, while there is always speculation and noise we all sit fairly comfortably with where we are at, and what the situation is. 'In any driver's contract there are performance clauses, and that exists for Max, too, but his intention is that he will be driving for us in 2026. The most important thing is the clarity that exists between Max and the team and that is very clear.' Mercedes driver George Russell is confident of signing a new deal (David Davies/PA) Verstappen is looking increasingly likely to be unseated as the sport's world champion with McLaren holding a clear advantage over the rest of the field. Horner has already declared a two-horse race between Piastri and British driver Lando Norris for the championship. Norris is 15 points behind Piastri heading into his home race at Silverstone. The McLaren drivers appear to be handling the heat of vying for the title as team-mates but it is a recipe which traditionally does not end well in Formula One. Yet, McLaren CEO Zak Brown insists their rivalry will not boil over. 'The relationship they have is fantastic,' said Brown. We have put a lot of time and effort on building the chemistry within the team and that starts with the drivers. 'You saw how they handled their collision in Canada, and how they conducted themselves after that, and I see no reason why they can't have a battle all the way to the end, remain very good team-mates, and may the best man win. I am sure they will shake hands and congratulate each other after.'
