IRAN has again threatened to ramp up enrichment of its near-weapons-grade uranium stockpile just days after being bombed by the US.
It comes after Israel said some of Iran's nuclear fuel survived US bombings during the 12-Day War last month.

Tehran admitted that Operation Midnight Hammer - which saw American B-2 Spirit bombers drop more than a dozen GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bunker buster bombs - did cause "excessive and serious" damage.
But it said the bombings will not deter the regime from enriching uranium, which they claim is for peaceful civilian use.
The uranium in question is enriched to 60 per cent - way above levels for civilian use but slightly below weapons-grade.
That material, if further refined to 90 per cent, would theoretically be sufficient to produce more than nine nuclear bombs.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told Mehr News Agency: "We will never give up our legitimate right to enrich uranium.
"Enrichment is a sovereign right that we will continue to pursue based on our national needs.
"Bombing cannot erase this knowledge — it will only come back stronger."
It comes as the UK, France and Germany have agreed to restore tough UN sanctions on Iran by the end of August if there has been no concrete progress on a nuclear deal.
Ali Velayati, an adviser to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was quoted as saying by the state news agency IRNA: "If the negotiations [with the US] must be conditioned on stopping enrichment, such negotiations will not take place."
Boroujerdi added: "We will in no way succumb to the West's demands for zero enrichment."
The UN's top nuclear watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned Iran could start enriching uranium again within just months.
Doubts remained whether Iran quietly removed 408.6 kgs of uranium from its most sensitive sites before the US strikes - potentially hiding nuclear material elsewhere in the country.
Trump rips critics & insists 'bombs went through like butter' at Iran sites
An Israeli official told The New York Times some of the uranium stockpile survived the US and Israeli bombings last month - and may be accessible to Iranian nuclear engineers.
The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, did not express concern about the remaining stockpile and said any attempt to recover it would be detected by the Israeli intelligence.
They also said that Israel would have enough time to attack Iran's nuclear facilities again if the regime tries to recover it.
But it was not clear immediately if the strikes - which hit Iran's Fordow nuclear enrichment plant, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities - were able to wipe out the entire stockpile of enriched uranium.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi admitted Iran could still have stockpiles of enriched uranium, saying: "We don't know where this material could be.

"So some could have been destroyed as part of the attack, but some could have been moved. So there has to be at some point a clarification," he said in an interview with CBS.
"We need to be in a position to ascertain, to confirm what is there, and where it is and what happened," Grossi said.
Satellite imagery showed trucks moving out of Fordow in the days leading up to the attack - leading to speculations that Iran moved some of its underground uranium stockpile.
US and Israel, as well as independent experts, agree that all of Iran's working centrifuges at Natanz and Fordo — some 18,000 - were either destroyed or damaged beyond repair.
DOOM & BOOM
Satellite imagery appeared to show construction work at the Fordow Nuclear Enrichment facility in Qom, near Tehran.
Heavy earthmoving equipment can be seen working near the impact craters caused by US GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs.
Excavators and cranes can also be seen working, while more construction trucks are visible on roads leading to the impact points at the site.
A new access road between the site's northern tunnel entrance and one of the impact craters can be seen after Israel said its air force struck Fordow to "disrupt" access to the site.
David Albright, a US weapons expert, said in his assessment that Iran may be filling the craters and conducting engineering damage assessments and radiological sampling.

The 12-Day War began on June 13 when Israel launched Operation Rising Lion - a sophisticated campaign of bombing which targeted Iran's military nuclear sites.
The Israelis also brilliantly orchestrated Operation Red Wedding - 30 top Iranian military chiefs killed in near-simultaneous blitz as Israel sought to root out the country's military strength entirely.
Iran retaliated by launching daily salvos of ballistic missiles across Israel, but failed to hit any strategic targets.
Less than a fortnight later, Trump joined the Israeli bombing campaign against Iran.
The US military's flagship B-2 Spirit stealth bombers dropped more than a dozen 30,000lb GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP).
The bunker-buster bombs were used to hit Iran's Fordow Nuclear Enrichment Plant.
Iran, which vowed to hit US military bases across the Middle East, sought its revenge by launching missiles at Al-Udeid Air Base - America's biggest military station in the region.

Tesla's auto insurance arm hit with consumer class action in California

July 17 (Reuters) - Electric vehicle maker Tesla's (TSLA.O), opens new tab auto insurance unit has been hit with a consumer lawsuit in California accusing it of deliberately scheming to delay and minimize insurance payouts, causing some motorists to abandon claims or pay out of pocket. The proposed class action filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on July 11 alleged Tesla Insurance failed to implement and maintain sufficient claims-handling procedures for its customers. Tesla, led by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, offers insurance policies in California to Tesla drivers and also to drivers of non-Tesla vehicles. The lawsuit, opens new tab, which seeks unspecified monetary damages, alleges Tesla violated California's unfair competition law and seeks to represent potentially thousands of motorists in California who had bought insurance from the company. Tesla and a lawyer for the named plaintiff did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Tesla launched its auto insurance unit in 2019, promising what Musk at the time called a 'vastly better' service than rival providers. A Reuters investigation in 2023 showed a raft of consumer complaints about Tesla's insurance claims processing, and also scrutiny from state regulators. The Ohio Department of Insurance at least twice in 2023 found Tesla had violated state regulations for claims handling, including for a lack of timely communications with a policyholder. The plaintiff in the new lawsuit in California, a resident of North Hollywood, purchased a Tesla insurance policy in October for a leased Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to the lawsuit. After the vehicle was stolen this year, he filed an insurance claim under his policy but struggled to get in touch with Tesla, with calls to adjusters frequently unanswered, the lawsuit said. The policyholder has yet to receive compensation or other benefits, the complaint said. Tesla's 'wrongful and unreasonable delays and refusals to act' have forced consumers to wait months or even years without reliable transportation or funds needed for repairs or a replacement vehicle, the lawsuit said. MAGA fans turn on Donald Trump over alleged Epstein photos with 'topless girls'

Donald Trump's supporters are demanding the truth after explosive claims that Trump was photographed with topless girls on his lap while with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein Alleged pictures of Donald Trump and his then-friend Jeffrey Epstein sitting with topless girls 'of an uncertain age' are being demanded to be released by his furious MAGA supporters. ‌ The President has sparked a civil war among his once-loyal supporters who are refusing to accept his claim that a 'client list' of the late paedophile does not exist. Now they have begun asking where the 'dozen or [so] pictures' of Trump are that Epstein is alleged to have had. Before his death, the American financier - a pal of Prince Andrew - is said to have shown author Michael Wolff the pictures he had of Trump. He said: 'I know that these pictures exist and I can describe them ‌ ‌ "There are about a dozen of them. The ones I specifically remember are, is the two of them with topless girls of an uncertain age sitting on Trump's lap and then Trump standing there with a stain on the front of his pants with three or four girls kind of bent over in laughter, they're topless too, pointing at Trump's pants.' Now Trump's base, who voted the president back into power on the promise he would he would release all files related to the paedophile, are asking where such photos are now. Many MAGA devotees have taken to social media to voice their anger. "I stood by Trump through everything, the impeachments, the indictments, the stolen election claims. But if he's part of some Epstein cover-up, I'm done. Release the damn pictures Wolff talks about, the ones he claims show Trump and those topless girls. We deserve to know the truth, no matter how ugly it is,' said Chad Palmer on Instagram. ‌ Loretta Stephens added: 'I voted for Trump three times and went to his rallies, but this Epstein stuff is a red line. If there's a photo of him with young topless girls, like Michael Wolff claims, it needs to come out. No more protecting anyone, not even Trump. We're not the Deep State, we're the people, and we want the truth.' Trump is failing to contain the backlash after his administration declared there were no credible leads and all investigations into Epstein's sex-trafficking network had ended. The announcement came just weeks after Elon Musk said the US leader was named in the files. So far, Trump has offered little explanation, instead blaming Democrats for a 'hoax'. ‌ The scandal exploded after the Department of Justice declared there would be no further Epstein-related charges, and confirmed no evidence of a 'client list.' The announcement, coupled with Trump's fierce defence of his Attorney General Pam Bondi, has shattered his standing among his base. Right-wing influencers like Laura Loomer and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, once diehard Trump backers, turned on him almost overnight. Trump lashed out at them on Truth Social 'Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats' work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore,' he wrote. He insisted the Epstein scandal was 'a big hoax' cooked up by 'Democrats' and 'stupid Republicans'. It's all been a big hoax that's perpetrated by the Democrats, and some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net, and so they try to do the Democrats' work.' ‌ But for many in the MAGA world, that explanation won't wash. Especially given the mountain of history connecting Trump to the late paedophile financier. Trump and Epstein's relationship goes back to the late 1980s. The convicted sex offender was not only a member of Mar-a-Lago, but he also described himself as Trump's 'closest friend for ten years.' According to recordings made by Wolff, Epstein claims that he even introduced First Lady Melania to Trump. He even said: 'The first time he slept with her was on my plane,' referring to his infamous Lolita Express private jet. The author says he sat with Epstein in 2017 inside the financier's opulent East 71st Street mansion- just two years before he died in a Manhattan jail cell in what officials insist was suicide. ‌ Trump has attempted to distance himself from the scandal in recent years, claiming he 'kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago' when he discovered allegations of sex trafficking. But Trump's own words tell a more complicated story. In 2002, he told New York Magazine : 'I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.' The Trump campaign has dismissed Wolff's recordings as 'false smears' and branded the journalist 'a failed journalist that is resorting to lying for attention.' But Wolff insists he has over 100 hours of audio, and says he only began releasing the tapes after new accusations against the president surfaced from a former Miss Switzerland, who alleges Trump groped her in 1992.
