Katy Perry suffers near wardrobe malfunction after her bra pops off onstage in Vegas

Yahoo12-06-2025
You know what they say about California Gurls.
Katy Perry came dangerously close to suffering a wardrobe malfunction when her bra broke during her Las Vegas show over the weekend.
The 'Fireworks' singer, 40, was running around on the stage on Saturday, May 17, in a bejeweled bra top, matching underwear and thigh-high boots while singing her hit 'Part of Me' when her mic pack appeared too heavy for the tiny strap.
Seemingly popping open, Perry abruptly halted on the stage during her 'Lifetimes' tour.
Thankfully, Perry was quick on her feet and grabbed the back of the rhinestone bra just in time to prevent an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
'Oh s–t, my bra is gonna come off,' Perry said into the microphone.
The musician then summoned her assistant to the stage and asked for help fixing the wardrobe issue.
'Put my bra back on, Patrick,' Perry quipped, per Us Weekly, before telling the audience, 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
'Wardrobe malfunction in Part of Me song by @Katy Perry in Las Vegas show
,' a fan who caught the near blunder captioned a TikTok video.
Fans loved the clip and left several comments praising the singer.
''Sorry guys you didn't pay that much,'' one person laughed. 'This is the funniest thing I've ever seen,' shared a second.
Perry started the US leg of her 'Lifetimes Tour' on May 7 after being launched into space as part of Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin space mission.
Her tour has been plagued with controversy, with haters accusing her of tailoring the outfits, choreography and several props as a homage to her highly-critiqued space voyage.
Perry faced further backlash this weekend when it was claimed that she's allegedly no longer wanted in Sin City after her three-year residency at Resorts World reportedly tanked, losing the hotel and casino money.
'The residency was a disaster for Resorts World, a complete failure,' a source told Paula Froelich of NewsNation.
'There was a bidding war between Resorts World and Caesars … and Caesars technically lost out — but in the end, Caesars won,' the insider explained, before revealing how much Perry allegedly made during her stay.
'Katy was getting paid between $750,000 and $900,000 a show because of the bidding war and the entire run she underperformed and Resorts World lost money,' the source claimed.
The Post reached out to Perry's rep for comment.
While the 'Last Friday Night' singer has yet to address the latest allegations, she did show gratitude to her die-hard fans after they launched a worldwide project to congratulate the hitmaker on her 'Lifetimes Tour' with a temporary billboard in Times Square, reading, 'Know that you are safe, seen and celebrated.'
'Please know I am ok, I have done a lot work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me. My therapist said something years ago that has been a game changer, 'No one can make you believe something about yourself that you don't already believe about yourself,' and if I ever do have any feelings about it then it's an opportunity to investigate the feeling underneath it,' she said in part.
She also shared that 'when the 'online' world tries to make me a human piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed.'
'What's real is seeing your faces every night, singing in unison, reading your notes, feeling your warmth,' Perry concluded, referring to connecting with fans in ways other than at her shows.

From Ibiza-Core to Beach Goth, Lauren Sànchez Bezos Takes Two Opposing Looks to Saint-Tropez

Another day, another European destination and dinner for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos—this time, Sánchez Bezos has packed the full style spectrum of her wardrobe. The recent newlyweds have been enjoying all that Euro Summer has to offer, before and after their Venice-set wedding. The couple have been photographed enjoying date nights in Monaco, Portafino, and across the French Riviera, with Sànchez Bezos also jaunting around Cannes during the film festival, and returning to the scene of her now infamous bachelorette party for Paris Couture Week and catch-ups with Katy Perry. This week, Sànchez Bezos and her husband were spotted in Saint-Tropez, most recently at the luxe and exclusive Club 55 for a leisurely lunch. She opted for a black bodysuit with a sheer black tiered skirt and a gold chain link belt. Accessories were kept simple with large black sunglasses, a black and gold chain shoulder bag, and gold bangles—save for an extra large, wide-brimmed black sun hat. Sun protection is important, especially when you're dabbling in the beach goth aesthetic. This looks to be a rewear (a rare thing for the opulent fashion-loving Sànchez Bezos) too—she wore a very similar looking bodysuit and skirt combo during her time in Monaco for the 2025 Grand Prix. It's an ensemble that's also not unlike the gothic, sheer, monochromatic outfits that the likes of Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian wore on the aforementioned Paris girls trip. If Margot Robbie's recent monochromatic beach fit in Ibiza is anything to go by too, the easy, breezy Beach Goth is going to remain a staple style this summer. Sánchez Bezos, of course, often opts for sexy, see-through fabrics and big, bold accessories. (On her recent appearance on the front row of Balenciaga at Couture Week, she toted a personalized 9AM clutch by the brand, shaped like a coffee cup).

Doctor who supplied Matthew Perry ketamine and called him a ‘moron' is set to enter guilty plea

He had previously pleaded not guilty, but in exchange for the guilty pleas prosecutors have agreed to drop three additional counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of falsifying records. Plasencia's attorneys emphasized in an email after he reached his agreement that he 'was not treating Matthew Perry at the time of his death and the ketamine that caused Mr. Perry's death was not provided by Dr. Plasencia.' Get Starting Point A guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday. Enter Email Sign Up The remaining charges can carry a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, and there is no guarantee he'll get less, but he's likely to. Plasencia has been free on bond since shortly after his arrest in August. He will not be sentenced until a future hearing. Advertisement The only remaining defendant who has not reached an agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office is Jasveen Sangha, who prosecutors allege is a drug dealer known as the 'Ketamine Queen' and sold Perry the lethal dose. Her trial is scheduled to begin next month. She has pleaded not guilty. According to prosecutors and co-defendants who reached their own deals, Plasencia illegally supplied Perry with a large amount of ketamine starting about a month before his death on Oct. 28, 2023. Advertisement According to a co-defendant, Plasencia in a text message called the actor a 'moron' who could be exploited for money. Perry's personal assistant, his friend, and another doctor all agreed to plead guilty last year in exchange for their cooperation as the government sought to make their case against larger targets, Plasencia and Sangha. None have been sentenced yet. Perry was found dead by the assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. The medical examiner ruled that ketamine, typically used as a surgical anesthetic, was the primary cause of death. The actor had been using the drug through his regular doctor in a legal but off-label treatment for depression, which has become increasingly common. Perry, 54, began seeking more ketamine than his doctor would give him. Plasencia admitted in his plea agreement that another patient connected him with Perry, and that starting about a month before Perry's death, he illegally supplied the actor with 20 vials of ketamine totaling 100 mg of the drug, along with ketamine lozenges and syringes. He admitted to enlisting another doctor, Mark Chavez, to supply the drug for him, according to the court filings. 'I wonder how much this moron will pay,' Plasencia texted Chavez, according to Chavez's plea agreement. After selling the drugs to Perry for $4,500, Plasencia allegedly asked Chavez if he could keep supplying them so they could become Perry's 'go-to,' prosecutors said. Perry struggled with addiction for years, dating back to his time on 'Friends,' when he became one of the biggest stars of his generation as Chandler Bing. He starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 on NBC's megahit. Advertisement

Real estate round-up: Tyler Perry, Greenbriar megaproject and a new hotel

Tyler Perry could expand his southwest Atlanta empire and a South Downtown pops up in the middle of South Downtown. Here's your development round-up. 🎬 Tyler Perry Land: The Atlanta-based media mogul is planning an entertainment district totaling up to 1.3 million square feet on 38 acres he owns at Fort McPherson, according to a state filing. The property is adjacent to Perry's 330-acre studio complex. The project would include a "variety of building uses, including office space, retail space, theatre, and associated parking." 🏡 Greenbriar's mega project: A New York-based developer wants to build more than 1,000 apartments and 250,000 square-feet of retail on 26 acres near Greenbriar Mall, the AJC reports. Invest Atlanta, the city's economic development arm, approved a $5 million loan to help New York-based developer Mural Real Estate Partners purchase the land that straddles Atlanta and East Point. In December 2024, Develop Fulton, the county's development authority, gave preliminary approval to a $23 million tax break for " Project Nexus," a code-named and secretive real estate deal that lines up with Mural's plans. 🏨 Origin's story: A South Downtown hotel that long sat in construction limbo is now open for business. Origin Hotel Atlanta, a Wyndham hotel, sits blocks away from City Hall and the Georgia Capitol in South Downtown, a likely hub during the FIFA World Cup. Features include an onsite restaurant and bar, gym and a top-floor event space with skyline views. 🌳 Fairburn mixed-use plan: Portman Holdings is moving forward with Meadow Glen Village, a 323-unit apartment community with a town green and space for retail and restaurants.
