Suzlon Energy shares rally 3% after fresh 170 MW wind order win

Shares of Suzlon Energy climbed as much as 2.8% on Friday to Rs 64.26 on the BSE after the renewable energy firm announced a fresh 170.1 megawatt (MW) wind power order from AMPIN Energy Transition—its third consecutive deal with the clean energy platform.
ADVERTISEMENT In an exchange filing on Friday, Suzlon said, 'We have won a third successive repeat order of 170.1 MW from AMPIN Energy Transition Ltd. to supply 3.15 MW wind turbines for their proposed wind power project to be developed at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.'
The project will involve the supply of 54 units of Suzlon's advanced S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, mounted on Hybrid Lattice Towers.
The company added that the scope of the project includes the 'supply, installation, and commissioning of the wind turbines,' and will be executed with Suzlon's equipment, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance services post commissioning.With this latest win, Suzlon's total order book from AMPIN now stands at 303 MW.
ADVERTISEMENT Suzlon shares have risen 31% over the past year, 11% in the last three months, and 4% over the past month. The stock has remained in focus following a series of block deals earlier this week, where promoters sold 19.8 crore shares worth over Rs 1,300 crore at an average price of Rs 66.05 per share.Among the key institutional buyers were Goldman Sachs, Motilal Oswal, Societe Generale, ICICI Prudential, and Bandhan Mutual Fund. As of the March 2025 quarter, mutual funds held a 4.17% stake in Suzlon Energy, while promoter holding stood at just over 13%.
ADVERTISEMENT From a technical standpoint, the stock is trading above five of its eight key simple moving averages (SMAs)—including the 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day SMAs—while remaining below the 5-day, 10-day, and 20-day SMAs.The Relative Strength Index (RSI) currently stands at 44.8. An RSI below 30 is typically considered oversold, while a reading above 70 is viewed as overbought. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is at 0.9—above the center line but below the signal line—indicating a mixed momentum setup for the stock in the near term.

IEX shares in focus after recording all-time high monthly electricity trade volume in July

Shares of Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) are expected to remain in focus on Tuesday after the company reported its highest-ever monthly electricity trade volume in July 2025. ADVERTISEMENT The exchange recorded a total volume of 12,664 million units (MU), reflecting a 25.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase, including volumes from the Term Ahead Renewable Segment (TRAS). This marked the highest ever monthly trade volume in the exchange's history. A total of 16.26 lakh Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) were also traded during the month, further contributing to the overall activity on the platform. According to the data released by IEX, the Real-Time Market (RTM) segment recorded the most significant growth. RTM traded 5,109 MU in July, a sharp 53% rise from 3,334 MU in July 2024. This included the highest ever single-day trade volume of 204.6 MU, recorded on July 27, 2025. The Day-Ahead Market (DAM) also registered strong performance, trading 5,510 MU in July 2025, compared to 5,056 MU in the same period last year, representing a 9% YoY growth. The Term-Ahead Market (TAM), which includes daily, weekly, and monthly contracts of up to three months, saw a 28% YoY rise, with volumes reaching 917 MU in July compared to 714 MU in July 2024. ADVERTISEMENT Meanwhile, India's total energy consumption stood at 153.6 billion units (BUs) during July 2025, marking a 2.6% increase from the previous year, as per government the increase in demand, average market-clearing prices declined across segments. In the Day-Ahead Market, the average price stood at Rs 4.18 per unit, down 16% YoY. ADVERTISEMENT In the Real-Time Market, the average price was Rs 3.83 per unit, registering a 23% YoY drop. IEX noted that these prices offered competitive options for distribution companies (Discoms) and commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers to manage their power the Green Market, which includes the Green Day-Ahead Market (G-DAM) and the Green Term-Ahead Market, IEX traded 1,025 MU in July 2025, compared to 990 MU in July 2024, an increase of 4% YoY. The weighted average price in the Green Day-Ahead Market stood at Rs 3.91 per unit for July 2025. ADVERTISEMENT However, the Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Market witnessed a decline in volumes. A total of 16.26 lakh RECs were traded in two sessions held on July 9 and July 30, at a clearing price of Rs 360 per certificate. This represented a 48% decline in REC volumes on a YoY shares of IEX closed 1.4% higher at Rs 134 on the BSE on Monday. Why insurance regulator fined Policybazaar Rs 5 crore? All you need to know

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has imposed a Rs 5 crore penalty on Policybazaar Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd for violating multiple provisions under the Insurance Act, 1938, and the IRDAI (Insurance Web Aggregators) Regulations, 2017. The regulator has also issued a direction, advisory, and caution to the to IRDAI's official order dated August 4, 2025, the violations span 11 separate charges, ranging from governance lapses to improper product promotion practices. The infractions occurred during the period when Policybazaar operated as an Insurance Web Aggregator (IWA), before it obtained a composite broker licence in February the key breaches cited was the display of product rankings on the Policybazaar platform without disclosing adequate material to enable prospective buyers to make informed choices. The IRDAI noted that various insurance products were promoted as 'top' or 'best' in a manner that appeared biased and lacked its inspection from June 1 to 5, 2020, the IRDAI observed that the top five ULIP products promoted on the website included Bajaj Allianz Goal Assure, Edelweiss Tokyo Wealth Gain+, HDFC Click2Wealth, SBI Life e-Wealth Insurance, and ICICI Signature. The regulator flagged the absence of transparent criteria or disclaimers behind the display of such order also points to governance violations, such as key managerial personnel (KMPs) holding directorships in other companies without prior IRDAI approval. Additionally, Policybazaar was penalised Rs 1 crore for delays in remitting insurance premiums to the respective inspection found that Policybazaar routed premium payments through its own nodal account and proprietary payment gateway, taking a minimum of three working days to remit funds. This practice contravenes Section 64VB of the Insurance Act, which mandates that intermediaries transfer premiums to insurers within 24 hours of a stock exchange filing, PB Fintech Ltd, the parent company of Policybazaar, confirmed the regulatory action and said the matter would be placed before the board of directors at its upcoming meeting. 'The Authority has levied a penalty of Rs 5 crore, vide its Order dated August 4, 2025, on Policybazaar, a wholly owned subsidiary of PB Fintech Limited,' the company said, adding that an action taken report would be submitted to the of PB Fintech were down 1.8% to Rs 1,750.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at around 9:40 am. - Ends

Aditya Infotech IPO listing: Shares of Aditya Infotech made a decent debut on the bourses on Tuesday, August 5, listing at ₹ 1,015 on NSE, a premium of 50.37 percent to its issue price of ₹ 675. Meanwhile, on BSE, it listed at ₹ 1.018, rallying 50.81 percent from issue price. The ₹ 1,300-crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Aditya Infotech was open for subscription between July 29 and July 31, receiving a robust response from investors across categories. The issue was oversubscribed 106.23 times during the three-day bidding period, indicating strong demand. Overall, the IPO attracted bids for 113.04 crore shares against the 1.06 crore shares available for subscription. Among the investor classes, retail investors subscribed their portion 53.81 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) segment was subscribed 75.93 times. The Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) category saw the highest interest, being subscribed 140.50 times, and the employee quota received 9.01 times the bids. The Aditya Infotech IPO comprises a fresh issue of 0.74 crore shares aggregating to ₹ 500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 1.19 crore shares totaling ₹ 800 crore. Under the OFS, Aditya Khemka, Rishi Khemka, Ananmay Khemka, Shradha Khemka, Aditya Khemka (HUF), and Hari Shankar Khemka (HUF) will be offloading their stake in the company. The lot size for applications is 22 shares, with a minimum investment requirement for retail individual investors set at ₹ 14,080. The IPO also included a reservation of up to 97,561 shares for employees, offered at a discount of ₹ 60 to the issue price. The operator of the CP Plus brand plans to utilise the net proceeds from the fresh issue to repay or prepay certain borrowings and for general corporate purposes. Additionally, Aditya Infotech aims to leverage the benefits of listing on stock exchanges, which include enhanced visibility, stronger brand recognition among existing and potential customers, and the creation of a public market for its equity shares in India. Ahead of the IPO launch, Aditya Infotech raised ₹ 582.30 crore from anchor investors, with the anchor bidding date fixed on July 28, 2025. ICICI Securities Limited is serving as the book-running lead manager for the IPO, while MUFG Intime India Private Limited (Link Intime) is acting as the registrar for the issue. Aditya Infotech Limited (AIL), which operates under the brand name 'CP Plus', is engaged in the manufacturing and supply of video security and surveillance products, solutions, and services. The company's portfolio includes a wide array of offerings such as smart home IoT cameras, HD analog systems, advanced network cameras, body-worn and thermal cameras, long-range IR cameras, and AI-powered solutions like automatic number plate recognition, people counting, and heat mapping. For the residential segment, AIL also offers smart Wi-Fi cameras, 4G-enabled cameras, dash cams, and more. In FY25, the company had a total of 2,986 SKUs and catered to customers across more than 550 cities and towns in India. During the financial year 2024-25 (FY25), AIL registered an 11.84% year-on-year growth in revenue from operations, reaching ₹ 3,111.87 crore, compared to ₹ 2,782.42 crore in FY24. Its net profit also saw a significant jump, rising to ₹ 351.36 crore in FY25, up from ₹ 115.17 crore recorded in the previous financial year.
