Rorisang Thandekiso big and beautiful hair
The TV and radio personality has taken South Africa by storm with her Christian movement, #JesusThisJesusThat. Over the years, she has explored various styles of big hair, and it has become her signature look.
In her TRUELOVE interview in 2023, Thandekiso spoke about her fascination with big hair growing up, drawing her inspiration from amazing women like Nomsa Nene, Noxolo Grootboom and Diana Ross. In this interview she also speaks about how she navigated her hair loss journey as a public figure.
We spoke to hairstylist Asiphe Sonjica on working with Rorisang, her hair evolution and her favourite looks.
'Rori has embraced and evolved in her well-known big and bold hairstyles quite well for the past years. I personally like how all her big hairstyles suit her, at some point I can't seem to have a clear vision of Rori without her big curly hair.

'Even though for some events I go for a different look (hairstyles) depending on the occasion and the outfit of the day. I find her very interesting in a straight hair [look] even though she finds it very high in maintenance.'
She says what sets Rorisang's hair journey apart from others in the industry is having to embrace and accept herself without any pressure of wanting to fit into social beauty standards.

Asiphe shares that her most ultimate hairstyle on Rorisang.
'But most ultimate hairstyle has to be the one I did when we were shooting Wheel of Fortune a sleek back braided ponytail that created four different looks. I twisted and turned the tail to create a crown in front which left the crew stunned including contestants.
'What stood out about the hairstyle was the sleek back design something very different and you wouldn't imagine Rori in such kind of hairstyle. To end it with a braided crown was amazing and mind blowing my creative skills were on another level, at that moment I realised how precious it was to get such opportunities to showcase my talent in the industry.'
From listening to her on the airwaves in the morning on Metro FM and seeing her on TV screens, it's clear that her beautiful aura and bold personality perfectly complement her big hair.

Amapiano stars Jazzworx and G.L. Ceejay grateful to be alive after kidnapping and robbery
It was the last thing they ever imagined would happen to them, especially not as chart-topping stars. They had been home, doing the usual, making hits in their studio, when criminals invaded their home. Musicians, Jazzworx, real name Kgotso Dube and Simphiwe Mguga (22), were at their Johannesburg home when unknown men invaded their home with guns, demanding they hand over their studio equipment, unreleased music, and some valuable items, including clothes, sneakers, and jewellery. The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday. In a statement sent by fellow musician Thukuthela on behalf of the two artists, detailed the incident that happened on 3 August. 'We endured a traumatic ordeal when our home was invaded, during which we were robbed and unfortunately kidnapped,' they said. DJ Zinhle champions female unity at Women's Day Festival
DJ Zinhle's Women's Day festival features Mzansi's top women in music. A strong believer in community and the strength of women, this year the DJ elevates the standard in the celebration of sisterhood. She says shared experiences among friends are important for the growth of friendships. DJ Zinhle, whose given name is Ntombezinhle Jiyane, is levelling up her Zee Nation Fest, now in its second year, taking place on Women's Day, 9 August, at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. She calls the festival 'Bestieval' – a fitting name from someone passionate about creating experiences that celebrate sisterhood and friendship. She believes in the strength of women, saying the 'women hate each other' narrative has never been true in her experience, because of the support that her network of women has always given her.
