Mia Farrow reveals 'strange vibe' she got from Joan Crawford: 'She was scary...'
The 80-year-old actress was working on the same lot as the late Hollywood legend - who suffered a fatal heart attack in 1977 - in the 1960s, and recalled getting a "strange vibe" from her at the time, and this was escalated when she received an invite to her apartment.
She told Interview: "She's scary. And she was scary in person as well.
" I more than met her. I forget what movie was shooting, probably that one with Bette Davis, the scary one. If ['Whatever Happened to Baby Jane'] was shot at Fox, then that was what they were shooting. And for whatever reason, she started sending a whole refrigerator of Pepsi Cola for my trailer 'cause I was in a TV series called 'Peyton Place'.
"I don't particularly like Pepsi Cola, but a lot of Pepsi Cola kept coming to my trailer, more than anyone would ever want. And then she came over to see me and I got a strange vibe from her.
"So I'm back in New York, and she knew my mother. I hung up people's coats for my mom when they came into the house. And I hung her coat and out falls a flask of alcohol. She grabbed it like that, and she put it in her handbag. She drank quite a lot. "Then she invited me to her apartment. I thought it was a party, but I arrived, and I was the only one there.
The 'Great Gatsby' star - who was famously married to legendary crooner Frank Sinatra for two years in the 1960s - didn't feel comfortable in Joan's presence when they were alone together and made up an excuse to leave straight away.
She added: " I was 17, and everything was green in her apartment. It just had very low lighting. And there were no other guests, just Ms. Crawford and me. And I just wasn't very comfortable.
"So I just made up a lie that I wasn't feeling very well, and I didn't want to give her any diseases. I think I said the word 'diseases' as I walked out of the room. I was scared of Ms. Crawford."

'When I was younger, there were points where I was more okay with paying but I just found it doesn't benefit you at the end of the day.' The young woman said she has found that when she has paid more or given more, it hasn't been for the best. The woman then argued that the reason she feels men should pay for things is because the world is still built for men to succeed more than women. 'The world was kind of built for men,' she argued. 'It is a patriarchy. I know everyone hates that word, if you're a man you probably hate that word, but the system is kind of designed for men.' The woman's opinion sparked a significant debate, with some agreeing with her perspective and others claiming it didn't sit right with them. One person claimed dating has become 'way too transactional' and another simply said, 'nope'. 'So I'm buying someone? I'll pass,' one man said. 'They scream for equality, till you split the check,' another man claimed. One added: 'My wife and I split everything.' However, there were many that defended her, with one person saying, 'she makes some good points'. Another said her perspective makes sense for couples that are content with those 'gender roles'. 'If a man loves you and wants you to live with them and they don't pay for rent and utilities, it's not love,' one woman claimed. 'Not outrageous! She is only expecting the extras when they are living together, in which case she is preparing to be a stay-at-home mum,' someone else pointed out.

Keith Urban left two Adelaide radio hosts in shock when he hung up on them live on air after they asked an intimate question about his wife, Nicole Kidman. The country music star called into Mix 102.3's Hayley & Max in the Morning on Tuesday, ahead of the Aussie leg of his High and Alive world tour next month, when the line suddenly went dead. Urban was in good spirits at the start of the interview as he expressed his excitement to play at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on August 28 because it's 'just a good vibe in the audience', he said. But the interview went downhill when hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford asked him to take part in the show's 'Wall of Truth' segment. Although Urban was a willing participant, it seems he didn't expect the questions to be so personal. 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?' Burford asked before the line grew silent. 'What just happened here?' he asked as a producer said, 'He's disconnected from Zoom.' 'I think his team hung up on us because they didn't want us to ask that question,' the producer added. 'He's gone, see you Keith.' Pearson was rattled that they've 'upset' the Grammy winner and had a feeling 'that would happen'. 'Does Keith Urban hate us? Do we have beef with Keith Urban now?' Burford wondered before telling her, 'If you knew this was going to happen, Hayley, why didn't you stop me asking the question?' It's no secret that Urban doesn't like talking about his famous wife. Last September, the singer was invited on the Jam Nation with Jonesy & Amanda podcast to chat about his new album High and upcoming world tour, when the chat focused on Kidman being at the Venice Film Festival. Host Amanda Keller then began asking questions about the origins of Urban's relationship with the Aussie actress. 'Speaking of your amazing love story with Nicole, you met at G'day Australia. Is that what it was called?' she asked Urban, to which he bluntly corrected her: 'G'day LA.' Keller suggested that if the pair hadn't met that fateful night, they perhaps might never have met at all. 'If you hadn't both been there that day, would your paths somewhere have inevitably crossed? Or maybe ... this incredible love story wouldn't have happened,' she wondered.
