2025 NFC Division Odds: Can 49ers, Eagles, Lions, Bucs Defend Titles?
Which squads are favored to win each division? Here are the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of July 22, as well as what to know about each division.
NFC West
49ers: +150 (bet $10 to win $25 total)Rams: +195 (bet $10 to win $29.50 total)Seahawks: +475 (bet $10 to win $57.50 total)Cardinals: +475 (bet $10 to win $57.50 total)
What to know: Three franchises have won this division in each of the last five years — the Rams won last year, the Niners won in 2022 and 2023, L.A. won in 2021 and Seattle won in 2020 — hence the relatively close odds. What's important to pinpoint about this division is that in the past seven years, the NFC West winner has made it to the Super Bowl four times (one win). The winner has also won at least one playoff game in six of those seven years and won two playoff games five times.
NFC East
Eagles: -130 (bet $10 to win $17.69 total)Commanders: +205 (bet $10 to win $20.50 total)Cowboys: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)Giants: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
What to know: Arguably the wildest and most intriguing division in the NFL on an annual basis, no team has won two NFC East titles in a row since the Eagles won four in a row from 2021 to 2004. From 2005 on, a new team has won it every season. That's 20 years. Philly and Dallas have split the last four titles, and the Eagles are somewhat of a heavy favorite to win the division this year, after winning the Super Bowl last year.
NFC North
Lions: +150 (bet $10 to win $25 total)Packers: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total)Vikings: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total)Bears: +450 (bet $10 to win $55 total)
What to know: Similar to the NFC West oddsboard, this division is projected to be extremely tight next season. Each franchise has won the division at least once in the last seven years — Chicago and Minnesota once, Detroit twice and the Packers three times. The Lions have won the last two division titles. However, of the last four NFC North winners, three have not won a game in the playoffs. Detroit lost its dynamic offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, who is now the head coach in Chicago. Can he turn Caleb Williams into the division's best QB?
NFC South
Buccaneers: -105 (bet $10 to win $19.52 total)Falcons: +240 (bet $10 to win $34 total)Panthers: +370 (bet $10 to win $47 total)Saints: +1400 (bet $10 to win $150 total)
What to know: This division has been about streaks dating back to 2013. Carolina won three in a row from 2013-2015, Atlanta won in 2016, then New Orleans won from 2017-2020 and Tampa Bay has won the last four — twice under Tom Brady and twice under Baker Mayfield. It feels like the Bucs' to lose once again, with Atlanta implementing a semi-new QB, the Panthers attempting to see if Bryce Young is the QB of the future, and the Saints presumably starting a 25-year-old rookie, Tyler Shough.

Reed Blankenship says Eagles will maintain the swagger that C.J. Gardner-Johnson provided
Eagles safety Reed Blankenship says Philadelphia is not gonna lose that aggressiveness and swagger that Cj Gardner Johnson brought to the defense 'We are not going to lose that swag'Eagles safety Reed Blankenship says they are not gonna lose that aggressiveness that Cj Gardner Johnson brought to the defense. Reed says he wants to see each of the competitors at the other safety spot succeed and he is their biggest… The Eagles traded C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans, but his presence in the locker room will be felt for years to come. Following Thursday's practice at the NovaCare Complex, star safety Reed Blankenship told the media that the "swagger and aggressiveness' Gardner-Johnson brought to the defense will be maintained. One of the youngest rosters in the NFL, the Eagles need to free up as much money as possible to keep their foundation together, and Gardner-Johnson was a casualty of that process. Roseman admittedly was too sentimental with players following their Super Bowl LII victory, and he isn't making that mistake this time around. Roseman likely wanted to avoid a potential contract dispute with Gardner-Johnson in preparation for paying his younger players. Cam Jurgens, Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell, and Cooper DeJean are all on rookie contracts, with Carter projected to reset the defensive tackle market next year. Andrew Mukuba, Tristin McColum, Sydney Brown, and Andre Sam will compete for the shot at replacing Gardner-Johnson, while DeJean will also see snaps at safety in base looks. A retooled defense would normally face some reservations about taking a step back in production, but most defensive units don't employ a coordinator like Vic Fangio. In his first season with the Eagles, Philadelphia (278.4 ypg) led the league in total defense for the seventh time in team history, having previously accomplished the feat in 1991, 1981, 1953, 1949, 1945, and 1944 (excludes the 1943 Steagles). Philadelphia ranked first in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (174.2) for the second consecutive year, following its 2022 performance (179.8). Furthermore, the Eagles finished with the NFL lead in defensive points allowed per game (16.9 — their best figure since 15.8 in 2008), opponent three-and-out percentage (39.0%), and FFs (18, tied).

Eagles training camp kicks off with significant buzz centered around QB Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts is turning heads early at Eagles training camp I've seen Jalen Hurts practice 5 times since they won the Super BowlHe is 86/93. 93%.Simply thoughts on what this means for Hurts and the offense: Cue the overreactions, outlandish theories, and, of course, the way-too-early predictions of another deep playoff run. It's that time of year, and the Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with a familiar offseason ingredient: expectations. 94 WIP-FM mainstay Eliot Shorr-Parks has started something with his training camp and preseason Jalen Hurts passing stats. He offered a few after the second training camp practice. Hurts is off to a nice start at camp, and trust us on this. Eliot Shorr-Parks isn't the only one who has noticed. Eagles insiders are satisfied with Jalen Hurts' early showing at Eagles training camp Cam Newton can bash Jalen Hurts for social media clicks, and former Super Bowl heroes can come to his defense. How about some intel from some Eagles insiders? What are they saying? We're glad you asked. We begin with some behind-the-scenes access from NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro. "Through two practices, Jalen Hurts has looked very sharp. Over the past couple of seasons, Hurts has turned into a really good practice player and it's rare these days to see a ball hit the ground — so much so that I normally race to scribble it down in my notebook when it does. Hurts has a few particularly strong throws on Thursday. One came in 7-on-7s, when he threw an absolutely perfect ball over the outstretched arms of Trotter into the hands of Dallas Goedert down the field. Just perfect placement despite Trotter being in good position." That won't conjure up any complaints. Here's more from the NBC Philly reporter. "Another great throw came on a pass to DeVonta Smith in team drills on a play where Hurts rolled to his left and delivered a bullet to No. 6 about 25 yards down the field. It's a throw that Hurts probably isn't able to make earlier in his career. We probably don't spend enough time talking about Hurts in practice because; for the past two years, he's been really sharp. It has been noticeable already two days into this camp and it seems like the offense hasn't lost a step with a new coordinator." Jimmy Kemski offers a few post-practice notes of his own. He was also impressed with Hurts. "Jalen Hurts was sharp today, as he was all spring. He may have only had one or two passes hit the ground, connecting repeatedly with Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith. Two highlights:1. He hit DeVonta on an accurate downfield throw (15-20 yards) while rolling to his left. 2. He threw a perfectly placed ball over the middle to Goedert, who was well covered by Jeremiah Trotter. The ball was out in front of Goedert, and Trotter juuuust barely missed getting a fingertip on it. If that pass were any further in front of Goedert, or behind him, it's probably incomplete." Let's make long stories short. It's summertime. We haven't reached August yet. Hurts is wearing a red jersey, and tackling isn't permitted. Still, everyone has to be pleased with the evaluations of Jalen Hurts so far. It's early, and reading too much into things is par for the training camp course, but Eagles fans can rest easy. The Birds are focused. Jalen Hurts is back, and the ball is barely touching the ground. Take that, Cam Newton! Rumors of Hurts' demise have been greatly exaggerated.
