2025 NFC Division Odds: Can 49ers, Eagles, Lions, Bucs Defend Titles?

What's important to pinpoint about this division is that in the past seven years, the NFC West winner has made it to the Super Bowl four times (one win). The winner has also won at least one playoff game in six of those seven years and won two playoff games five times.
NFC East

What to know: Arguably the wildest and most intriguing division in the NFL on an annual basis, no team has won two NFC East titles in a row since the Eagles won four in a row from 2021 to 2004. From 2005 on, a new team has won it every season. That's 20 years. Philly and Dallas have split the last four titles, and the Eagles are somewhat of a heavy favorite to win the division this year, after winning the Super Bowl last year.

What to know: Similar to the NFC West oddsboard, this division is projected to be extremely tight next season. Each franchise has won the division at least once in the last seven years — Chicago and Minnesota once, Detroit twice and the Packers three times. The Lions have won the last two division titles. However, of the last four NFC North winners, three have not won a game in the playoffs. Detroit lost its dynamic offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, who is now the head coach in Chicago. NFC South

What to know: This division has been about streaks dating back to 2013. Carolina won three in a row from 2013-2015, Atlanta won in 2016, then New Orleans won from 2017-2020 and Tampa Bay has won the last four — twice under Tom Brady and twice under Baker Mayfield. It feels like the Bucs' to lose once again, with Atlanta implementing a semi-new QB, the Panthers attempting to see if Bryce Young is the QB of the future, and the Saints presumably starting a 25-year-old rookie, Tyler Shough.

Aaron Rodgers hits back at Terry Bradshaw after Steelers legend called his signing a ‘joke'
Aaron Rodgers has plenty of respect for Terry Bradshaw, who spent 14 years with — and won four Super Bowls for — the same Steelers franchise that Rodgers is now tasked with quarterbacking. But Bradshaw, who shredded Pittsburgh's decision to pursue Rodgers in May as 'a joke,' is only basing those judgements off perception and 'doesn't know me,' Rodgers said in an interview with NFL Network on Saturday. 'I've known Terry for a long time, being a part of Fox,' Rodgers said. 'Terry's a legend. He's an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He's had a legendary career in the media. But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn't know me. So he's got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I've done, the documentary, what I've said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about.' Steelers DT Cameron Heyward doesn't want to be 'paper champions' anymore
Every offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the teams NFL pundits talk about in terms of a potential Super Bowl contender. This has as much to do with the franchise history and head coach Mike Tomlin. Unfortunately, once the season starts, it's more of the same and Pittsburgh ends up being all show and no go. Defensive tackle Cameron Heyward is one of the veterans on this roster who is tired of the narrative and the outcome. 'We're not trying to be paper champs,' Heyward said. 'We're trying to be champs.' He's not he only veteran who has been vocal about the struggles this offseason. Edge defenders T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith have done the same. Meanwhile, the Steelers haven't won a playoff game since 2016. Having watched so many years of Steelers football, the way these teams have collapsed has been beyond puzzling. At times, it feels like the failing of the coaching staff, and other times, it really feels like it falls squarely on the players. 2025 has been another year of rebuilding for the Steelers and once again, Pittsburgh heads into training camp and the preseason with high hopes and at the same time there is cautious optimism because this team can break your heart.
