Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson, pictured above, both featured in Un Certain Regard – the strand known for championing bold new voices. Their films Eleanor the Great, a New York-set character study by Johansson, and Urchin, Dickinson's walk on the margins of London. Both sparked immediate curiosity – not only about the stories, but also about the kind of directors these two stars might be.

Another A-list star snubs SATC reprisal on And Just Like That amid Kim Cattrall's feud with Sarah Jessica Parker
Kyle MacLachlan said creative differences have kept him from appearing on the Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That. The Emmy-nominated actor, 66, explained on Wednesday to Us Weekly his rationale in not yet reprising the role of Trey MacDougal, the ex-husband of Kristin Davis ' character Charlotte York, on the HBO series. 'Listen, I would love to come back and have fun,' said the actor, also known for his work as FBI special agent Dale Cooper on the iconic 90s mystery Twin Peaks. The veteran actor, appearing at a God's Love We Deliver's event in New York City on the late June evening, delved into detail about the creative differences he had with producers regarding a comeback to the franchise amid tension between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. 'What they suggested to me, I said, "I think there should be more." So I just said, "I wonder, if the relationship that Charlotte and Trey had demands a little more than their first idea."' MacLachlan told the magazine about what he thought would be a good destination for the Trey MacDougal character. 'I had suggested that Trey has maybe moved to Napa and has a very successful winery and label there - you can see where I'm going with this. He said, 'But no, I actually haven't said anything yet ... it'd be very interesting.' MacLachlan said that 'regardless' of if he returns or not, he think's the show is 'doing great.' The actor, who has been seen in films such as Echo Valley, Showgirls and Blue Velvet, had kind words for the principle cast of the HBO series. And Just Like That has seen Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Davis reprise their respective roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and York. Said MacLachlan: 'They're all lovely. And I adore them.' Cattrall has not appeared on the rebooted show regularly amid years of tension with Parker. The star did make a shock comeback to the franchise for the reboot two years ago. She reprised the iconic role of Samantha Jones in the 11th episode of the second season, titled The Last Supper Part Two: Entree. The episode featuring Cattrall - who reportedly made $1 million for one day of work on the reboot - was first broadcast August 24, 2023. Sex and the City initially aired June 6, 1998, focusing on 'four female New Yorkers [who] gossip about their sex lives (or lack thereof) and find new ways to deal with a woman in the late 1990s,' a logline for the series read. It turned out to be a huge smash hit for HBO, and ran for 94 episodes over six seasons, racking up a total of seven Primetime Emmys.

NFL quarterback Zach Wilson marries partner Nicolette in beautiful New York wedding
NFL quarterback Zach Wilson and his partner Nicolette tied the knot on Saturday in a classy Manhattan wedding. Wilson, now a member of the Dolphins, began his career in New York as he spent his first three seasons with the Jets. And the 25-year-old returned to the Big Apple this weekend as he and Nicolette (formerly Dellanno) wed at St. Patrick's Cathedral. In an Instagram story posted by Kennedy Stidham, the wife of Wilson's former Broncos teammate Jarrett Stidham, the couple looked to be in good spirits as they walked out of the church and raised their arms in the air. The newlyweds could later be seen sharing a first dance and cutting their wedding cake in front of their guests. Wilson wore a classic black tux for the occasion, while Nicolette kept things similarly traditional with a flowy white wedding dress. The couple, who met in 2022, looked overjoyed as they cut their cake during their party She later wrote on her Instagram story that it had been the 'best night ever,' with the couple celebrating their nuptials at the fancy Rainbow Room following their ceremony. The couple, who have been linked since 2022, announced their engagement last June after Wilson popped the question in Italy. Nicolette later gushed about her beau as she posted about the milestone and showed off her new ring. 'Zach, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me,' she captioned a photo of her wearing a ring alongside Wilson. 'Everyday I admire your strength and i'm so incredibly proud of you. 'I'm so in love with you and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together i love you.' Dellanno, a native of New Jersey, met Wilson while he was playing for the Jets. Wilson spent his 2024 NFL season as a backup for the Denver Broncos, but did not see the field Wilson and Dellanno traveled to Hawaii for their friends' wedding earlier this year The team replaced him with Aaron Rodgers after two difficult seasons at the helm, but Wilson was thrust into action once again during the 2023 season after Rodgers injured his Achilles in his debut for the team. Wilson was traded to the Broncos the following year, and he did not see the field in Denver as he served as the third-string quarterback behind Bo Nix and Stidham. Wilson then signed a one-year, $6million deal with Miami that could rise to $10million with incentives, according to multiple reports. He is expected to back up Tua Tagovailoa on the Dolphins.

‘Anna Wintour? I found her efforts to seem intimidating almost comical'
I have Anna Wintour to thank for bringing me firmly into the Condé Nast fold — and also for either inadvertently or advertently giving me reason to leave that fold 30 years later. We didn't meet the way normal people do. She essentially inherited me. When Condé Nast's chairman, Samuel Irving 'Si' Newhouse Jr, asked her to take over House & Garden in 1987, she was given a magazine with a charmed history and a number of staff and contract writers, me included. Lacking the discernment of previous editors of my freelance offerings, Anna kept me on contract when she took over. I found Anna in those days to be cosy, conspiratorial and completely enticing. My feelings toward her ran in opposition to the tagline 'Nuclear Wintour', which was then at the beginning of its long run. She was a great and loyal friend, and as a result, she had a lot of close friends. Also, she had gone out with Christopher Hitchens, a big validation in my book.
