UNF's first football game: Jacksonville Sharks become Ospreys for a night

Yahoo18-04-2025
The Jacksonville Sharks are becoming the UNF Ospreys for a night.
The Indoor Football League team will share the Ospreys moniker on Saturday night as they host Massachusetts, and it will be celebrated as UNF's first football game ever. The University of North Florida doesn't have a football team, so the school and the Sharks partnered up for this promotion.

Wedding party bus gets "Storrowed," strikes low bridge on way to Boston reception

A newlywed couple from Massachusetts got a big surprise on the way to their reception when their party bus struck a bridge on Soldiers Field Road. Varteni Akian and her husband Steve had just gotten married at St. James Armenian Church in Watertown on June 21 and were headed to their reception at Venezia in Boston. When they got to the Anderson Memorial Bridge by Harvard University, the driver tried to pass through. "He tried to pass the clearance chains, which he did, and then he made contact with the bridge and then paused and started reversing on Storrow Drive to be able to make the exit ramp to take Mass Pike to get to Boston," said Varteni Akian. "It delayed us but we didn't need a police escort to be able to reverse safely, by some miracle." Varteni Akian credited her husband for calming everyone down after the moment of impact. "I think there's panic on every single one of our faces, except for my husband who's always calm, cool and collected. He was like, 'Everyone, it's going to be OK, we're going to have a great time and nothing is going to stop us from having the best day ever,'" said Varteni Akian. "I think the adrenaline of the whole, we just got married, we're heading to a party, this just happened. When it happened, honestly, I was like, 'OK, this is kind of cool. This is a pretty eventful thing to occur on an eventful day.' So it kind of just added to our experience," said Steve Akian. Varteni and Steve said they didn't have a follow-up with the party bus company but they still got to enjoy their wedding day together. No one was hurt in the "Storrowing." "The whole day was so eventful that this was just one little piece of it but it's a story to tell for our future," said Varteni Akian. "It happened, fortunately we didn't allow it to put a damper on our day, it added to the just enjoying the whole thing," said Steve Akian.

Intelligent Diva Set to Release 'Run Me My Money' Single and Launch Tech-Infused AI Fashion Suit Collection

JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, July 25, 2025 / / -- Independent recording artist and creative visionary Intelligent Diva will debut her highly anticipated new single, 'Run Me My Money,' on July 25, 2025, under her independent label, Diva Underground Records. The single, written by Chincia (professionally known as Intelligent Diva), represents a powerful blend of strategy, resilience, and creative reinvention. The song was originally written in 2023 and scheduled for release in 2024. After spending money on production, graphics, and licensing, the release fell through due to external delays outside of Chincia's control. Not one to waste investments or let obstacles block progress, she took action. She reached out to SFR Beats, requesting beats that matched the key and BPM of her original vocal performance. The beat ultimately selected wasn't even intended for 'Run Me My Money,' but matched her energy and tempo perfectly — leading to a new hook, a refined version of her original verses, and a fresh creative vision for the project. The result? A complete relaunch — fully aligned with a strategy she could control from start to finish. Music, Fashion, and Tech — Brought Together Virtually In parallel with the music release, Intelligent Diva is launching a fashion design concept called 'The Run Me My Money Suit Collection,' created entirely with her proprietary AI tool, IDM AI Contour Architect GPT. The suits are not just stylish — they're bold, confident, and designed for individuals who 'own the room.' Collection Design Concept & Value Overview: 15–20 suit designs multiple versions in size and color Entry-level collection value (45 units × $150) $6,750 High-end collection value (100 units × $400–$500) $40,000–$50,000 Marketing asset potential (with fashion/music/events) $75K–$100K+ (with brand collaboration) While the suits are still in the design concept phase, Chincia is seeking a white-label partnership or collaboration with a larger fashion brand to bring the concept to life. About IDM AI Contour Architect (Proprietary GPT) Built by Chincia, IDM AI Contour Architect GPT is a proprietary fashion campaign automation tool that functions as a virtual creative director. The GPT handles: Custom fashion design concepts with trend research Blog and SEO writing B2B pitch deck creation Campaign content assets and visual direction Support for virtual storefronts, lookbooks, and showrooms Cost Comparison: Traditional Expense Estimated Cost Campaign Direction $5,000 Visual Asset Design $2,500 SEO Copywriting $3,000 Pitch Deck Creation $2,500 Total Without AI $13,000+ Using IDM AI Contour Architect GPT, Chincia executes campaigns at a fraction of the cost — while retaining full creative control and originality. Bringing It to Life With AI and Originality While 'Run Me My Money' was not created using AI, Chincia used her other proprietary tool, Scoreflow GPT, to create additional original music compositions for the fashion show. Scoreflow GPT helps: Compose music for film and TV Generate AI artist personas, bios, and vocal arrangements. Sync scoring and music branding. All assets — from concept visuals to campaign materials — were built virtually. In states like Florida, executing a multi-channel launch like this with physical vendors could cost well over $150,000, depending on the region. Thanks to her virtual-first approach, Chincia cut those costs dramatically while delivering a highly polished release. Merch, Music & Media Access The only physical merchandise available for this release includes the 'I CANNOT' and 'CCT' t-shirts featured in the pre-show content, both available at IDM Merch Boutique. The official Run Me My Money Fashion Show will debut the same day as the single, streaming on YouTube, Vimeo, and Roku TV (IDMTV). This release marks another chapter in Chincia's mission to merge music, fashion, and AI innovation — and to prove that creatives can lead in the tech revolution without compromising vision or quality. 8-year-old turns surplus tennis balls into neighborhood stand in Massachusetts

On a quiet corner of Mount Pleasant Street in Milford, Massachusetts, 8-year-old Pierson Ross is running a summer business that's turning heads... and wagging tails - selling tennis balls. "I sold tennis balls because we had so many," said Pierson. Pierson's father, Rodney, is a local tennis pro. As a result, the family's garage has filled up with used balls - more than 2,000 by Pierson's count. Instead of letting them sit, he started selling them for 25 cents apiece from a small table in his front yard. While most kids stick with lemonade stands, Pierson's pricing is simple but he may even be willing to strike a deal if you're buying in bulk. He's had plenty of repeat business - and knows how to work a deal, especially for those buying a bagful. But he's not just pocketing quarters. Pierson has also donated hundreds of tennis balls to local animal shelters in Massachusetts. "Some people in that animal shelter, they can't buy like tons of tennis balls," said Pierson. He's donated to four or five different shelters so far and plans to keep going to make many dogs happy. It's a simple idea with real impact and a few life lessons along the way. "I'm learning how to save my money instead of just spending all of it," Pierson said. If you're interested in buying some tennis balls, Pierson's mom can be messaged through the Instagram account @TennisBallKid.
