When asked whether the storyline of Aap Jaisa Koi stirred any memories of his own early romances, Madhavan reflected on the deep sense of responsibility that love and romance held in earlier times.
'At that point in time, we used to run through a sense of guilt,' he recalled. 'If you held a girl's hand and she became your girlfriend, that meant you were going to marry her. That was the ultimate goal. There was never this idea of 'let's try and see where it goes'—no 'benching, orbiting, or whatever it's called now,'' he stated.

Featuring a stellar ensemble cast of Sara Ali Khan , Aditya Roy Kapur , Neena Gupta , Pankaj Tripathi , Anupam Kher , Konkona Sen Sharma , Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ali Fazal, the film is proving to be a pleasant urban story that has found its audience. Decent hold in second week After wrapping up its first week at Rs 26.85 crore, 'Metro… In Dino' managed to stay afloat in its second weekend, collecting an additional Rs 11.70 crore. This took its total to a promising Rs 38.55 crore by the end of day 10. Box office collection day 11 On its second Monday (day 11), the film earned around Rs 1.15 crore according to early estimates by sacnilk, bringing its overall total to Rs 39.65 crore. Occupancy On July 14, the film saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 12.34%. Morning shows started off a bit slow at 7.44%, but things picked up by afternoon with 12.65% occupancy. By evening, more people stepped into theatres, taking it to 14.17%, and the night shows did slightly better at 15.09%. Review 'The Times of India' gave the film a mixed but fair review.
