Brad Pitt's home was ransacked by burglars while on a promotional tour for the upcoming F1 movie.
Brad stars in the film as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, and has been promoting the film abroad ahead of its release in the US on Friday (June 27).
However, while travelling overseas to promote the film, a home on the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street, believed to be the A-lister's home, was broken into by burglars, according to the LAPD. Pic:LAPD spokesperson, Officer Drake Madison said that police were alerted to an alarm call, finding that the suspects broke in via a front window and rummaged through the home, fleeing with a number of unspecified items.
It is not known what was taken during the burglary, and no arrests have been made. An LAPD spokesperson confirmed that the break in occurred at 10.30pm on Wednesday (June 25), but couldn't confirm the identity of the homeowner.
It's understood that Brad bought the house in April 2023 for $5.5million (€4.6million). Brad stars as former F1 driver turned racer for hire Sonny Hayes in the F1 movie, which releases in Ireland on Friday. Pic: Warner Bros/Everett/Shutterstock
This is the latest in a string of robberies of high profile celebs, with previous victims including Nicole Kidman, actor Austin Butler, and footballer Olivier Giroud.
The Chief of Police at the LAPD told NBC News that the reported number of burglaries in 2024 increased by 4% in 2024, but more than half of the homes that were targeted were those of high profile celebs such as Brad.
'These are happening very quickly,' Dominic Choi, Chief of Police with the LAPD, said. ' We're not seeing the entire house being ransacked. These individuals that are conducting these high-end burglaries know what they're looking for, and they're in and out in a few minutes.' Brad plays nomadic racer for hire and former F1 driver Sonny Hayes in the drama about Formula 1 driving, which also stars Irish actress Kerry Condon as well as F1 legends such as Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez.
He was most recently in London to promote the movie ahead of the world premiere, with the film getting its wider release today (June 27).

Kneecap confirm BBC Glastonbury bombshell with blunt message
Irish rap trio, Kneecap, has confirmed the BBC contacted the band in the last few hours. Writing on X, Kneecap, whose members are from west Belfast and Derry, confirmed that their 4pm performance on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury will not be streamed live however, according to the group, the BBC is seeking to make a version of the concert available on the BBC iPlayer on Saturday evening. "A chairde Gael...," wrote Kneecap. "The propaganda wing of the regime has just contacted us.... They WILL put our set from Glastonbury today on the I-player later this evening for your viewing pleasure." The Irish language rappers warned fans at Glastonbury to arrive at the West Holts Stage early to avoid disappointment. "The crowd expected today is far greater than West Holts capacity so "you'll need to be very early to catch us EARLY," they added. Despite facing pressure from British politicians and others, the festival organisers have chosen not to cancel the Irish band's appearance. This comes after allegations that the band displayed a flag in support of the proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah and chanted "up Hamas, up Hezbollah" during a gig in London last November. One of the band members, Liam Og O hAnnaidh, is currently out on bail and set to reappear in court in August, following a court appearance earlier this month. He denies the charges, and the band has apologised to the families of murdered MPs, claiming that footage of the incident was "exploited and weaponised". Kneecap is set to perform at Glastonbury on Saturday at 4pm, and an enormous crowd is expected to attend. The controversy has only added to the band's popularity, particularly among the festival's left-wing, anti-establishment, and pro-Palestinian attendees. Earlier on Saturday, festival bosses issued a warning to fans planning to catch Kneecap's set at the West Holts Stage. Festival organisers advised attendees: "Kneecap will draw a large audience for their 4pm West Holts show. If you're not planning to see them, please plan alternative routes around that area. If you do plan to attend, listen to stewards, and please have some other entertainment options in mind in case the field reaches capacity and we need to close it as part of our crowd planning measures."

A long way from Tipperary! The rise and rise of Kerry Condon
Actress Kerry Condon has certainly come a very long way from her hometown of Tipperary. A native of Thurles, Kerry's big screen career has gone into literal and metaphorical overdrive with her standout performance in Brad Pitt's new race car flick F1. While Hollywood hottie Brad may be in the driving seat in the film, which is proving a smash hit with movie goers, and Kerry's standout performance has helped steer the movie into pole position. Kerry Condon. Pic:F1 sees Kerry take on the role of Kate McKenna, a technical director on the Formula 1 race team, that sees Pitt come out of retirement to mentor a fledgling driver. Condon collaborated with Northern Irish F1 analyst Bernie Collins to ensure a thorough, authentic performance. And while Kerry is garnering stellar reviews for her role in the Hollywood film, her success is by no means overnight. Kerry Condon at the IFTA Awards 2024 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. Pic: Brian McEvoy In fact, Kerry's love of acting began on her family farm in Thurles, which took her to the Royal Shakespearean Theatre and from there on to Hollywood. Kerry's love for acting first emerged whilst working alongside her father on the family farm in Thurles, surrounded by animals and open fields. Kerry's imagination ran rampant. It was amidst this backdrop that her passion for performance was nurtured and led her to the Dublin Theatre Arts School. Kerry Condon. Pic:Then, at just 16, Kerry landed her first role in Alan Parker's Angela's Ashes, marking the start of a glittering career. Her early television appearances saw her land roles in the BBC series Ballykissangel, but it was theatre that saw her true talents shine bright. Her groundbreaking role came in 2001 when she took on the part of Ophelia, making her the youngest actress to tackle this classic with the Royal Shakespeare Company. This, coupled with her stage work in Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore, marked Kerry out for true stardom. Through the years, Kerry Condon has played a diversity of different roles that run the gamut of genres. Her filmography charts her rise from stage to small screen to global movie theatres. In 2003, Kerry's first big screen break saw her delve into the realm of historical fiction when she played the part of Kate Kelly, the outlaw sister of Ned Kelly, alongside Heath Ledger, in the Hollywood-produced movie Ned Kelly. Her next big part came in 2005 when she starred in the HBO/BBC series Rom, taking on the supporting character Octavia of the Julii. And small screen success was to continue with aplomb when she was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off seems Better Call Saul, where she appeared for seven seasons. Her next big screen standout role was to come in the smash hit Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri which saw her once again work with acclaimed director Martin McDonagh. But it was in 2022 that Condon's true talents were globally recognised when she was nominated for an Oscar for her stellar performance in The Banshees of Inisherinwhere she appeared alongside Colin Farrell. While she didn't win the Oscar, Kerry did earn a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress. But while her career is firmly on show in her personal life, Condon is far more low-key. But her love of animals has stayed with her from her childhood farm in Thurles as she runs an animal sanctuary in her adopted home of Washington State.
