Warning as windsurfer rescued in force four winds in emergency off Welsh coast
The lifeboat was immediately re-launched and made a search of the bay. The crew saw a windsurfer waving at them clearly trying to draw their attention.
When they made their way to him they spotted another person in the sea close by. He was wearing a wetsuit and was almost 400 metres offshore. He had been separated from his windsurfer. The man was taken on board the lifeboat and taken back to shore.

In a statement the crew said: "The wind was blowing at force four and there was a one metre swell. Had the windsurfer, close to the man in the water, not drawn the crews attention it would have extremely difficult to have spotted the man in the water."
The lifeboat was launched again shortly after 4pm. when information was received of a kitesurfer in difficulty. A search of the area was made but no kitesurfer could be found.
Lawrie Grove, the lifeboat perations manager for the Horton and Port Eynon Station urged windsurfers to take care, pay attention to weather conditions and take a mobile phone to call for help.
He said: 'We want people to have fun when heading out on the water, however incidents can happen even for the most experienced water users.
"When going windsurfing always carry a means of calling for help such as a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch.
"In the event of an emergency, if possible stay with your equipment, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
"Weather conditions, particularly offshore winds and strong tidal currents can make it more difficult or even impossible to return to the shore, so it is really important to check the forecast and tide times before you head out.
"Remember to wear a well-fitted buoyancy aid or personal floatation device as this will help you float if you end up in the water unexpectedly."

At least 7 children killed as India school roof collapses after weeks of monsoon rains
New Delhi — At least seven children were killed and 20 others injured when a portion of a school's roof collapsed in western India's Rajasthan state on Friday morning, police said. The incident happened around 8:00 a.m. local time at the Government Primary School in Jhalawar district's Piplodi village, as students gathered for their morning assembly. Around 60 children and teachers were in the school when the roof of the single-story building collapsed, burying students under debris. Area residents rushed to the scene and managed to rescue dozens of students, and police and other government workers also joined the rescue efforts. All the injured students — between the ages of eight and 11 years — were being treated at a local hospital. Two were said to be in critical condition. Indian news outlets showed video of residents gathered at the site of the collapse, with some students' family members crying. Some reports said the school building was in a run-down condition and noted that persistent, heavy rainfall over the past few weeks may have been a factor behind the deadly collapse. It is monsoon season in India, and the storms have already brought misery to the eastern part of the country, with dozens of people killed by lighting strikes in recent weeks. Jhalawar district official Ajay Singh said the school building had not been flagged as unsafe after a recent survey, however. "A detailed investigation will be conducted and strict action taken against those responsible," Singh told media gathered in the town. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the incident "tragic and deeply saddening." "My thoughts are with the affected students and their families in this difficult hour. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected," he said in a social media post. Rajasthan's state education minister, Madan Dilawar, said experts were examining the stability of other buildings on the school campus. Deadly building collapses are not uncommon during monsoon rains in India. Many buildings in India are weak due to insufficient enforcement of building safety codes, and that leaves them particularly vulnerable to the deluges.

Raging wildfires in Turkey kill at least 10 firefighters and rescue workers
At least 10 firefighters and rescue workers were killed Wednesday and many others injured while battling a wildfire in northwestern Turkey, Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said. The five forestry workers and five members of the AKUT rescue organization died while trying to put out the wildfire raging through a forested area of Eskisehir province, Yumakli said. At least 14 other rescuers and forestry workers were hospitalized, he said. The deaths bring the number of fatalities in wildfires that have flared amid strong winds, high temperatures and dry conditions so far in the country this year to 13. The minister said the wind suddenly changed direction, causing the flames to shift rapidly and surround the forest workers. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire. Yumakli said firefighters were currently battling seven wildfires in Turkey, including the one in Eskisehir, adding that extreme heat and volatile wind conditions also were expected in Turkey on Thursday. 'Starting tomorrow, we are facing extraordinary temperatures and extreme wind shifts. Once again, I call on all 86 million citizens to be vigilant and exercise extra caution,' he said. In a message of condolence to the families, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the victims had fought 'to protect our forests at cost of their lives.' Two prosecutors were assigned to investigate the incident, the country's justice minister said. Turkey has been battling wildfires since June 26. An elderly man and two forestry workers were killed in a wildfire that raged near the town of Odemis, in Izmir province, earlier this month.
