EXCLUSIVE Revealed: What REALLY happened at the poolside punch-up? The so-called '6'6 bully' at the heart of the brawl involving a football yob speaks out
In shocking footage the Oldham Athletic striker, 23, was seen launching the chair into the face of an innocent middle-aged woman who was trying to break up the fight.
Harratt has since claimed the fight was started by a '6'6 bully' who punched his friend.
But that man Brandon Watkins, 31, hit back at Harratt's claim that he started it, saying: 'I'm 6ft 4 for a start and I'm not a bully.'
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Brandon insisted the player 'provoked' his friends and their whole group were 'looking for a fight' when they arrived at the Marco Polo Hotel in San Antonio on Saturday afternoon.
He said: 'The fight happened on day five of our holiday. We'd been around that pool every day and getting on with everybody and making friends with people.
'These guys turned up and started throwing balls about. 'Several people were saying they're going to be trouble even before it kicked off.
'At one point one of his mates got in the pool next to me and just started aggressively splashing me. One of them said what are you looking at?
'They were just being a nightmare. One lad was winding us up. Kian was sat right next to him and if anything Kian was provoking him.
'Next thing I knew Kian picked up a chair and threw it.
'I got the impression he was intoxicated, they were sat near the bar before and if they were sober they wouldn't have acted like that.
'After the brawl happened people were buying us drinks and congratulating us, that's how bad this group were
'It's just outrageous for a footballer to behave like he did.'
The viral video shows Brandon's group clashing with Harratt's friends before the unnamed woman tried to intervene and was hit by a chair.
Several men including Brandon fell into the pool and another chair was thrown at them before hotel security rushed in to intervene.
Brandon - who was on holiday with four school friends - stayed with the injured woman and her friends after Harratt's group were kicked out of the hotel and later helped her back to her room because she had broken her toe in the fall.
He added: 'Would I have done that if I was a bully who was making them uncomfortable?'
Brandon's version is also backed up by a close pal of the woman who was hit by the chair.
The friend - who was sunbathing by the pool when the brawl kicked off - said: 'It was carnage, I've never seen anything like it in my life. My friend was injured. They were all just shouting and swearing at each other.
'She's an absolute angel and such a good person which is why she got involved - she saw people were arguing and she just went over to stop it.
'But when she did Kian spoke to her like she was a piece of shit and Brandon stepped in out of respect and said don't speak to a woman like that. Brandon threw the first punch then all Kian's friends got involved.'
After the footage emerged Kian claimed he was 'very apologetic' and 'felt terrible' but accused the woman of 'going down a bit easy'
The friend added: 'That's no apology, he has no remorse whatsoever. Him and his mates were kicked out of the hotel without apologising, he's only sorry because he has been identified.
'My friend is really embarrassed by the whole thing, it was a horrible experience made worse as people who have seen the video have been trolling her online.
'He's a professional footballer, a lot of kids look up to him and it's not a good reflection on his club.'
The brawl comes just three weeks after Harratt fired Oldham to Wembley glory, scoring the winning goal in extra-time of their 3-2 victory over Southend United to earn a League 2 spot next season.
Posting on TikTok, Harratt wrote: 'Just for the people who have seen the video circling the internet of me throwing a chair 'FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON'
'Here's the fella who started it all and let me just say he was the worst man you could ever come across and a bully!
'He was 6,6 and built like a brick! Anyway he was swimming over to young couples while they're all chilling and trying to make the lad feel uncomfortable flirting with there girls and all sorts of daft stuff like that!
'And one of my mates who is only 18 by the way jumped in the pool and started splashing him having a laugh like you do on holiday then it's stopped!
'After that my mate got out off the pool and the big fella shouted over to him wtf are you looking at so obviously my mates said to him I'm looking at you the fella has then flipped and started walking to my mate and the woman who gets hit with the chair is in this video here trying to stop him my pal then goes dancing over to him not expecting the man to punch him.
'But anyways he hit my pal in the face and dropped him and then proceeded to kick him in the face while he was down.
'The video cut off though after that obviously like any normal mates would do we've backed him up I tried staying out the way as I don't want the trouble a chair then got lobbed towards me so I picked the chair up and threw it back and it accidentally hit the woman who as you can see went down a bit easy but besides that I was very apologetic and I felt terrible.
'But I'd have felt even worse if we left my mate to get badly beaten up while he's trying to enjoy his holiday I hope this video opens peoples eyes I had to post it cause I've had nothing but abuse all morning and I'm sure this will clear it or so it should.'

Watford FC diversity officer screamed ‘go back to your country' to TfL employee
A championship football club's diversity officer screamed 'go back to your country' during a fight, a court heard. Ebonnie-Rose John-Jules was the equality, diversity and inclusion officer for Watford FC 's Community Sports & Education Trust at the time of a violent confrontation with railway staff in London. The 23-year-old was travelling with her friend on May 5 last year at about 6.30pm when they became embroiled in a row with Sasha Da Cunha, a Transport for London (TfL) employee, who was aided by her colleague, Tom Kakeeto. Mr Kakeeto had just finished his shift at Southall station and was on his way home, prosecutor Tom Heslop told City of London magistrates' court. The prosecutor said that Mr Kakeeto heard 'a verbal altercation' between his colleague and John-Jules and her friend, 23-year-old Naomi Caruana – also a defendant, and that he intervened, asking them 'to be civil'. However, the court heard that John-Jules removed her earrings before launching into an attack on Mr Kakeeto, punching him in the face on the railway concourse, the Daily Mail reported. Mr Heslop said: 'They are both attacking him, with the majority of the assault carried out by Caruana, but it did begin with John-Jules. 'Comments were made during this by John-Jules towards Ms Da Cunha, including: 'Go back to your country, you bloody Indians.' 'She also says 'I will not leave the station until I see him bleeding' and reference is also made to 'go back' and 'f---ing Indians',' Mr Heslop said of the 'unprovoked' attack. John-Jules had denied the charges against her for over a year, but on the day of her trial pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Kakeeto, as well as a count of racially aggravated threatening behaviour. The court heard John-Jules graduated from the University of East London with a degree in sports physical education and development, has a Master's degree in international sports management from the Global Institute of Sport, and has a previous conviction in 2022 for threatening behaviour. 'A shock to be attacked like that' In his victim impact statement, Mr Kakeeto said: 'During the incident I was scared and fearful. It was a shock to be attacked like that and uncalled for. 'I do not wear my uniform to and from work anymore so I am not recognised and it has knocked my confidence.' John-Jules, of Southhall, began working in her full-time role at Watford FC in April last year, just weeks before the attack on Mr Kakeeto took place. She was bailed to appear at Westminster magistrates' court on Sept 11 for a pre-sentence report. John-Jules was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which includes 70 hours community service work up to five days of rehabilitation and must pay a £50 fine. Her co-defendant Caruana, of Hounslow, pleaded guilty to assaulting both Mr Kakeeto and Ms Da Cunha and also damaging the male victim's EarPods. Caruana was also ordered to pay a total of £120 compensation to Mr Kakeeto, £50 compensation to Ms Da Cunha, plus £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge. Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust said in a statement it had 'zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or violence'. It added that John-Jules failed to disclose the arrest, investigation or proceedings against her, as is required in accordance with company policy. 'Had the trust been made aware, the member of staff would have been suspended as per company policy pending the outcome of the police investigation,' it said. 'Once found guilty, the member of staff would have been instantly dismissed for gross misconduct.'

Dele Alli is reportedly searching for a new club after being left out of Como's preseason plans by manager Cesc Fabregas. This news comes after reports in Italy stated that the former England international was contemplating retirement at just 29 years old, following a turbulent half-decade in football. Dele is training away from Como's squad as they prepare for their preseason camp in Marbella, and now appears to be a surplus to requirements at the Serie A club, just months after joining from Everton. Thomas Partey on verge of joining Villarreal despite rape charges
Thomas Partey, who is due in court this week to face rape charges, is close to signing for Villarreal. The Spanish club hope to announce a deal, believed to be for one year with the option of a further 12 months, in the next few days. Villarreal will face Partey 's former club Arsenal in a friendly at the Emirates this week. Partey has already passed a medical at the La Liga side with terms being agreed. The 32-year-old is due in court on Tuesday, the day before Arsenal host Villarreal, after being charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. Partey was charged on July 4, four days after his contract with Arsenal expired, although the alleged offences took place while he was playing for them. The Ghana international had been the subject of an investigation that started in February 2022 after police first received a report of rape. He will make an initial appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court and denies the charges against him, which relate to three women who reported incidents between 2021 and 2022. Arsenal were in talks to extend the midfielder's career at the club, having joined in 2020 from Atletico Madrid for €50m (£45.4m). Partey went on to make 167 appearances for Arsenal with manager Mikel Arteta suggesting they offered him a new contract because he is a 'really important player for us'. However, no agreement could be reached and Partey left as a free agent, allowing him to join another club without a fee being paid. During Arsenal's recent tour to the Far East and following Partey being charged, Arteta said he was '100 per cent' comfortable with the way that the club handled the case. On the day the charges were announced, they released a statement which noted Partey's contract with them had ended and that, because of 'ongoing legal proceedings', they were 'unable to comment on the case'. Speaking publicly about the matter for the first time, Arteta said on Monday: 'I think the club was very clear in its statement. There are a lot of legal matters that are very complicated so I cannot comment on any of that.' It was then put to him: 'A lot of fans have questions over the way in which the matter was handled by the club. Do you feel confident and comfortable that the club followed all the right processes in that?' Arteta answered: '100 per cent, yes.' Villarreal, who played Leeds United last Saturday as they prepare for the new season with a tour of England, have qualified for the Champions League which has clearly been a factor in Partey agreeing to join them who also wanted to return to Spanish football.
