2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 For Sale With Just 2,200 Miles

Miami Heralda day ago
Everyone knows what a Mercedes-Benz G-Class is. Colloquially known as the G-Wagen, Mercedes's once-rugged military off-roader has morphed into a symbol of wealth and opulence for those who are well-to-do and want people to know. The most recent generation of the G-Wagen carries that legacy forward, especially in the performance-oriented AMG G63 variant. This particular one with just 2,200 miles is for sale on Exotic Car Trader, and you can check out the listing by clicking here.
Finished in the eye-catching and special shade of MANUFAKTUR Sun Yellow, this 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 sports a few additional extras to help it stand out from the other G-Wagens on Rodeo Drive. For starters, this example has the AMG Night Package, which adds darkened headlights and an underguard finished in Obsidian Black that matches the Obsidian Black front bumper and AMG Dark Chrome radiator grille. What hasn't been finished in black or Dark Chrome was finished in carbon fiber instead, thanks to the AMG Carbon Fiber option. The SUV sits on 22-inch AMG multi-spoke forged wheels in black with performance low-profile tires if off-roading isn't your main goal.

The five-seat interior carries a rather contrasting theme of two-tone Red Pepper and Black, with all of the modern Mercedes-Benz amenities you expect, like multi-zone climate control, a digital gauge cluster, an infotainment screen ith Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Burmester sound system, and the Parking Package with a 360-degree camera system. Carrying on the MANUFAKTUR-specced theme from the exterior, the cabin is clad with the MANUFAKTUR Interior Package Plus, which adds Nappa leather and comfort features like drive-dynamic multicontour front seats with massage functions, rapid seat heating, ventilated front seats, and the ENERGIZING Comfort system.
The excitement really happens under the hood, though, with a 4.0L BiTurbo V8 that makes 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque through a 9-speed AMG Speedshift TCT automatic transmission with AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive. 0-60 mph comes in under 4.5 seconds, and if you decide to swap the boulevard-cruising tires for some off-road rubber, three locking differentials are also at your disposal.
There aren't many things to be said about the G-Wagen that haven't already been said. It's big, it's boxy, it's show-offy, and it really holds a spot in the luxury SUV segment that can't be occupied by any other car. Sure, the model has deviated a lot from its military roots, but those dedicated to the hobby can still turn a G-Wagen into a serious off-roader. It's an even more powerful beast in its G63 AMG guise, easily beating some performance cars to the punch. With a $237,500 asking price, this MANUFAKTUR-specced example is up there in price, and the mustard and ketchup color scheme is a little out there, but you're sure to turn heads wherever you take it. After all, isn't that one of the main reasons to own a G-Wagen?

This Glitzy Grille Will Debut on the New GLC EV and Is Inspired by Historic Mercedes-Benz Models

When the Mercedes-Benz GLC-class EV debuts, it will feature the brand's glitzy new grille. The grille has a grid-matrix design that's inspired by historical Mercedes models such as the 1902 Simplex. Along with an illuminated version of the grille that features animations, Mercedes will also offer an unlit alternative. Mercedes-Benz is on the cusp of dawning a new era in its electric vehicle strategy with the upcoming GLC-class EV. To celebrate, the company is walking away from the smooth and rounded design language that it had been using on its EQ models and is digging deep into its history to concoct a new front-end look. The upcoming electric GLC-class SUV will be the first to wear a new grille design that mimics the grid-matrix motif of older Mercedes models dating back to the 1902 Simplex. That car featured a large, upright radiator at the front with so many tiny square inlets to direct air into the cooling system. That square-centric design evolved over the years but remained a part of Mercedes's grille designs into the 1980s and 1990s. For better or worse, the new version features a modern twist. On electric models, the previously functional square inlets have now been replaced by a grid of LED lights. The GLC EV's grille has 942 individual backlit square dots, which can be optioned with an animation feature that greets the driver with a synchronized light show upon hitting the unlock button. The big Mercedes-Benz star logo also lights up, and the whole thing is framed by a separate light-up strip. Too flashy for you? Don't worry, the illuminated version is optional. The unlit version is more subdued, featuring a chrome frame with inset squares rendered in a smoky white glass-like plastic. Furthermore, the metallic grille is available in two shades: Silver Shadow (shown in the image above) and Dark Chrome Optic. Although the new grille design will debut on the GLC EV, which will be unveiled at the Munich IAA auto show in September, expect to see this new motif pop up on future Mercedes models. That should include future gas- and hybrid-powered Benzes too, not just the EVs. We think the new look makes the car more recognizable as a Mercedes-Benz than the jellybean-nosed EQE or EQS models. Here's hoping that resonates with American buyers, who have not taken to the company's previous EV efforts with the same enthusiasm as drivers in other parts of the world. Giant, Metal Mercedes-Benz Grille Is Making a Comeback

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. For over 100 years, Mercedes-Benz has been home to giant grilles. The faces of its cars wore metal masks that allowed their engines to breathe for generations before grille sizes shrank as aerodynamics became the name of the game. Now, they're returning. Engineers have spent years working to deliver a modern version of the company's segmented metal grille. The result is a new-age look that combines metal with a lattice structure, delivering heritage-related modernity. Its design leans heavily into the Mercedes-Benz W111 era. That version of models was popular with buyers, ultimately resulting in the company producing and selling around 350,000 vehicles between 1959 and 1971. Each new grille is created using a multi-stage process. At its base, the new grille is several injection-molded polycarbonate parts. Then the parts undergo a multi-stage dipping process similar to how chrome is applied. The grille of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV. The grille of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV. Mercedes-Benz The finished look is a grille with a smoked-glass-effect lattice structure with 942 "dots" over six segments, backed by 140 LEDs. Unlike previous versions of metal grille worn by vintage Mercedes-Benz models, this new grille does not have inlets where air can flow through. It's unnecessary as the grille will front an electric vehicle. The LEDs bring the grille to electronic life with a welcome and goodbye animation. In certain markets, including the U.S., the Mercedes-Benz three-point star logo at the center of the grille will also illuminate. While animated at walk-up and walk-off, the illumination pattern settles into a static state when the vehicle is in operation. Owners can opt for the grille to be illumination-capable or not, but cannot turn off the grille at will if they opt for one that is illuminated, nor can they control any of the animations. "Our new iconic grille is not just a new front for the GLC, it redefines the face of our brand. It is the perfect fusion of lasting design codes reinterpreted for the future, making our cars instantly recognizable," Gorden Wagener, chief design officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, said in a press release. F1 'silly season' puts Red Bull, Mercedes and Cadillac on the spot

It's time for Formula 1's risk-taking drivers, overworked engineers and harried team principals to relax. At least in theory. With four weeks until the next race, including a mandatory 14-day shutdown of all racing operations from next week, the F1 season is on hold. It's what F1 calls 'silly season,' the time when contract talks — and rumors — fill the vacuum. It often seemed like silly season started early amid feverish speculation about a move from Red Bull to Mercedes for four-time champion Max Verstappen. Now that Verstappen has confirmed he's staying with Red Bull, other decisions — such as contract renewals at Mercedes — could speed up. Russell at Mercedes The idea was to lock in experienced drivers who could help with development throughout 2025, so the very different 2026 cars wouldn't come as a surprise. Mercedes does things a little differently. As well as checking out a potential Verstappen move, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has waited on contract extensions for George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, who aren't confirmed beyond 2025. Both went through Mercedes' young driver program, which helped them through the junior series and seemingly gives the team more control over their careers. 'Mercedes manage me as well, so it's not really a deadline in my hands as such,' four-time GP winner Russell said last month, adding he'd had no talks with other teams. Antonelli started his debut F1 season strongly but the 18-year-old driver's performances have dipped in recent months. Red Bull's other seats Verstappen's decision has taken a lot of pressure off, but the broader Red Bull organization still has three seats to fill — one at Red Bull and two at Racing Bulls. It's not clear who will take the final decision, and when, after longtime team principal Christian Horner was fired. If the logic behind dropping the underperforming Sergio Perez last year was that any Red Bull replacement would do better, it's been proved wrong. Liam Lawson lasted two races as Verstappen's teammate and Yuki Tsunoda has only scored points in three of 12 race weekends since his promotion. The team's engine partnership with Honda ends this year, which could affect Honda-backed Tsunoda's place. French rookie Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls has outscored both Tsunoda and Lawson this season and might be the frontrunner for the Red Bull seat. F1's governing body, the FIA, made an exception to grant Red Bull-backed Formula 2 driver Arvid Lindblad its super license in June before his 18th birthday. Cadillac is coming 'That's actually a nice seat... I wouldn't mind.' Valtteri Bottas' comments in a social media skit in June fawning over a Cadillac road car went viral and cemented him in many fans' minds as the front-runner to join the new General Motors-backed team for 2026. Bottas and Perez are both F1 race winners, popular with fans, who had underwhelming seasons in 2024 and aren't racing in 2025. Their experience might be a boost to a new team, though other reported options include Ferrari reserve Zhou Guanyu, an ex-Sauber driver who could unlock big sponsor backing from China, or ex-Haas driver Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time champion Michael Schumacher. The Alpine carousel Ruthless? Yes. Successful? No. Alpine benched the departing Esteban Ocon for Jack Doohan for the last race of 2024, then dropped Doohan for Franco Colapinto six races into 2025. One option is Alpine reserve Paul Aron, who'd be the first Estonian in F1. He's had two practice drives with Sauber this year but was unlucky last week when his car broke down Friday after just eight laps. ___
