I ditched London's rat race to live by the beach in India - a chef cooks me fresh meals for just £2 and I have a breathtaking view from my window
A former waitress has revealed why she ditched the UK for India, after admitting she struggled with living in 'demanding' London. Lily Baria, who is half English and half Indian, decided to take a chance and move to Goa aged 20, despite having no job lined up. Before upping sticks, she was working in London at a family friend's cafe and had taken managerial responsibilities, which she found challenging. This ultimately led to deciding to quit the rat race for a more peaceful life in a cheaper country. The average cost of living in the Big Smoke is around £2,550 a month for a single person, according to UHomes. However, it is significantly less in Goa, with Digit Insurance estimating that monthly costs add up to around £170. 'It was really demanding and I started to go a bit crazy to be honest. I needed to get out of London asap,' she previously told ForFaceSake London. 'All of a sudden I had this urge to go to India. I had never been and I'm Indian so honestly, I just thought why not.' The content creator, 28, has now lived in the South Asian country for eight years and often films the picturesque views from her home, which is close to both the jungle and the beach. She resides in Goa - famous for its beautiful beaches - with her boyfriend and her pet dog and makes money from selling clothes she knits herself on her balcony. She also enjoys showing her followers what her daily life is like, which includes spending around just £2 a day to get freshly cooked food delivered to her door by a cook. Lily decided to start ordering lunch seven days a week with one of India's many tiffin services, where chefs in kitchens will batch cook meals and deliver them to your door every day, usually at the same time, for a monthly cost. She pays just £50 a month to receive the meal, which usually consists of meaty curries, rice, greens and side dishes, seven days a week, which means she never has to worry about cooking lunch. Tiffin boxes are available to buy in the UK, but at a more expensive cost, with some companies charging a whopping £30 for just two portions. Lily, who has been dubbed 'the tiffin lady' on TikTok for showing her daily meals, said: 'Before we got the tiffin service, I was making ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch every day. 'So no, getting different Goan food delivered every day, I don't get bored. It's different every day, ham and cheese sandwiches are the same.' Lily has travelled to three Indian states so far and initially moved there on her own, admitting she was a 'little nervous' at first. The designer lives by a 'life is short' mentality and told the website: 'I might not be here tomorrow so I try and live for right now. I know that might bite me in the ass later on in life but at least I'll have met some amazing people and seen a bit more of the world than I would have sitting behind a desk all day.' However, Lily has faced criticism in the past, with viewers claiming she only shows the 'rich part' of Goa , which she denies. Her videos often show the array of scenic restaurants, sandy beaches and delicious food and drink on offer, along with the breathtaking view of tropical plants from her bedroom window. 'God forbid a girl live in India and enjoy it,' she wrote. However, Lily also admitted that there are downsides to living in Goa, rather than a more built up city such as Mumbai or New Delhi. She told her TikTok: 'Living in Goa is still very much village living so infrastructure etc may not be what you're used to.

The universally flattering M&S carrot leg jeans are back in stock and cost less than £40, but you have to be quick
M&S has become a fashion staple for us in the last few years. Whether it's statement dresses, everyday shoes or must-have bags, it seems to tick all of the style boxes. BUY NOW And their denim collection is just as raved about, but there is one pair in particular that has fashionistas in a frenzy. The M&S High Waisted Carrot Leg Ankle Grazer Jeans have been hailed as 'universally flattering.' The carrot leg style is wider on the thighs and slims down towards the calf, creating a curvy silhouette. The ankle-grazer jeans now come in four colours, indigo, bleach-wash, white and black. This stylish wardrobe staple also comes with a forward seam to give it a contemporary look. The £39.50 jeans come in various sizes from a 6 - 24 in lengths short, regular and long. And M&S has just restocked them again, but you'll have to be quick to bag them. Since their release last February, the jeans have repeatedly sold out almost as soon as they were restocked, with shoppers claiming that they are perfect for all body shapes. Even our own fashion team has raved about the must-have jeans. Deputy Fashion Editor, Abbie McHale tried them on and loved the fit. I've found the perfect summer top from M&S, and I'm even more excited now I can finally shop there online again She said: "At 5ft4 I just fall on the regular length as for my height I have fairly long legs. "These jeans are ankle-grazing and for me they were the perfect length, they looked great on with sandals or trainers for the summer. "I'm a size 14 and around the waist they fit perfectly and whilst denim does stretch eventually they weren't too tight that they were cutting my circulation off. "The style of jean itself I personally really liked, slightly wide around my thigh but not overly wide leg, a bit like a 'Mom' jean." And it's not just our fashion team who love the jeans, shoppers have given them a rating of 4.6 out of five online. One person wrote: "Excellent quality jeans, sit high on waste but plenty of room in the thighs and tapered at the bottom. Very flattering." Another commented: "Love the shape of these jeans. They are very flattering and comfortable and also don't accentuate the dreaded lower belly pouch like some high waisted jeans do." "Great fit, perfect length and good quality. Look great dressed up or just for casual," penned a third. Why Everyone Is Loving M&S Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explained: 'M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there is so much good product to be excited about. 'A brand once known for its 'frumpy fashion' that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high street stores for womenswear. 'Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price. 'The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also. 'Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30. 'After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on. 'Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.' Meanwhile a fourth said: "They are a lovely soft heavy denim and with the high waist even manage to make me look like I've got a flat stomach. They fit perfectly and I love them." "These jeans fit my shape perfectly, I love the fit of them and will be buying them in every colour possible,' claimed a fifth
