Sean Combs Found Not Guilty of Sex Trafficking and Racketeering in Trial's Mixed Verdict
The jury in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking trial handed down a mixed verdict on Wednesday, acquitting the music mogul of the most serious charges against him while finding him guilty on lesser counts. Combs was found not guilty on two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and on one count of racketeering conspiracy. He was, however, found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. 'Mr. Combs has been given his life by this jury,' defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said after the jury's decision came down, per CNN. 'He treasures, I assure you, the opportunity that he has been given, and he will not run afoul of anything this court imposes on him.' Combs was initially indicted in September 2024 on three counts of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. His seven-week trial began on May 5, with the jury's verdict coming on the third day of deliberations. During the trial proceedings, multiple women — including Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura — testified to Combs' alleged patterns of sexual assault, violence and threats of blackmail, including multi-day 'freak offs,' in which Combs would allegedly provide drugs and alcohol and coerce women into participating in sexual activity with others. 'He's going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might, and the full confidence of his lawyers,' Agnifilo said at the time of Combs' indictment. 'And I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs.' A date for Combs' sentencing has not yet been set. Best of TVLine 'Missing' Shows, Found!
