Once more the nation will be cheering on our girls - and no one more passionately than their BAPS - that's boyfriends and partners.
Here we reveal the proud other halves of England's Lionesses.
Alex Greenwood and Jack O'Connell
Man City fullback Alex, 31, one of England's most experienced players, is also known as the glamour puss of the Lionesses.
She is dating fellow footballer Jack O'Connell, 31, who played for Sheffield United.
The couple both grew up in Merseyside and are childhood sweethearts, having met at Savio Salesian College in Bootle.
Sadly Jack had to call time on his sporting career in 2023 aged just 29 due to a knee injury.
He shared an emotional message on social media announcing his retirement, and paid tribute to his supportive girlfriend.
Jack wrote: "To partner Alex, who has given me support through my lowest moments.
"She is a supremely talented footballer and it has been a great consolation to be able to watch her career go from strength to strength.
"I am her biggest fan.'

Man City ace Chloe, 26, from Hanwell, west London, married Scott Moore, a greenkeeper, on a stunning country estate in Cheshire last July, with Chloe's teammates Ruby Mace and Steph Houghton as bridesmaids.
Chloe stunned in a sheer lace Galia Lahav bridal gown and matching veil for the ceremony which she teamed with Jimmy Choo shoes.
Chloe's dogs Otis and Rolo also joined the couple on their big day and were suitably dressed in tuxedos.
The couple met while Scott was working as a groundsman at Everton while she was playing there.
She recalled: "One day I held the door for him, and ever since that day he kept saying he was going to message me. When he did slide into my DMs I didn't see it for ages, because it was in my requests folder, and then when I did see it I was like, 'Who is this?'
"But when I saw a few people that I knew had followed him, I realised, I must know him."
The lovebirds had their first date at IKEA as Chloe was moving home at the time, and have been inseparable ever since.
Scott proposed in December 2023 during a trip to Lapland and reportedly caught Chloe totally off-guard.
She said: 'It was such a surprise for me, despite all the clues he gave me. Before we went out on the husky ride he played all the songs that we'd always said that we'd play at our wedding.
"When we were going through the snow, he said, 'Oh it looks like diamonds.' I should have known!'

Arsenal forward Beth, 28, has been dating her Dutch teammate Vivianne Miedema, also 28, since 2022.
And the couple, who share a cocker spaniel called Myle, will face their biggest challenge yet when they face each other in the group stages of the tournament.
Vivianne has been selected for the Netherlands' squad - making this her third European Championships.
Beth told the BBC: "It was inevitable. When the [Euros] draw was made, we both sat there and said, 'Of course that's happened!'"
She added that while they keep in regular contact, when it comes to the clash the topic of football is off the table.
"When it gets closer to our games, we don't talk football whatsoever," Beth said. "Obviously we want each other to do well but not against each other!"
Beth has previously been in relationships with Liverpool goalie Rachael Laws when at Sunderland, and Dutch player Danielle van de Donk.

Arsenal defender, Lotte, 26, is in a relationship with Tao Geoghegan Hart, 30, a British cyclist who currently rides for UCI World Team Ineos Grenadiers.
Tao was also the winner of the 2020 Giro d'Italia, taking the pink jersey following the final day time-trial and becoming the first winner in the history of the Giro never to wear the maglia rosa until he had won it outright.
Lotte and Tao went public with their relationship in March 2021 and have since shared lots of adorable pics together.
The couple both grew up in East London and attended Stoke Newington School.
Lotte is half Dutch and fluent in the language. Her dad is Antonius Wubben, the Dutch owner of Kaizen Furniture Makers.
In January she dedicated an Instagram post to her boyfriend ahead of his racing season, writing in Dutch: "I love you. We love you."

Manchester United midfielder Ella, 25, is dating Joe Bunney, 31, who, awkwardly, is a devoted Manchester City fan.
However Joe maintains he is Ella's "biggest cheerleader", with a source previously telling The Sun: "Ella and Joe are very much in love and have been together for a while now.
"They are both from Manchester and have mutual friends who introduced them. Those who know them think they are the perfect pairing."
Joe, who has two children from a previous relationship, is also a footballer and currently plays for Stalybridge Celtic.
Ella's other half made headlines in March after Corrie star Ryan Prescott sued him for branding him "disgusting" on Instagram.
Joe Bunney accused Ryan and actress partner Amy Lythgoe of squatting in a flat they rent from him last June.
The former Bolton Wanderers player, 31, said the tenancy is up and he wants to move in his widowed grandad, 78, who had been left homeless.
Ryan, 36, who plays Ryan Connor on the soap, and Amy, 30, deny the claims and have filed a £60,000 libel and defamation lawsuit at the High Court.
They claim Joe's post, which was widely circulated before it was deleted, had a devastating impact.

Gotham defender Jess, 27, has been in a relationship with German goalie Ann-Katrin Berger since 2017.
The pair first met while signed for Birmingham City in 2016, and they also played together at Chelsea three years later.
Ann-Katrin, 34, recalled thinking Jess was "arrogant" when they first met, but they went on to become housemates and good friends before things became romantic between them.
Jess said: 'I had broken up with my boyfriend when I moved in, but as far as I knew I was straight."
In August 2017 Ann-Katrin took Jess out for a dinner date, and a few days later they were chilling at home when she went in for a kiss.
Ann-Katrin said: 'I was quite nervous because I didn't know what her reaction would be. I always knew she was quite an open person, and she'd never ruled out being with a woman.
"At the same time, I heard her talk about guys, so I wasn't sure.'
Initially they dismissed the kiss, but it didn't take long before they gave in to their feelings for each other.
Shortly after becoming a couple Ann-Katrin underwent treatment for thyroid cancer. She battled the illness again in 2022, with Jess by her side.
In May last year the pair announced their engagement with a social media post that read: "7 years down forever to go."
It came two months after former Chelsea manager Emma Hayes, who left the Blues to manage the US women's national team, claimed player relationships were "inappropriate".
In response, Jess liked a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, including one which described Emma's comments as "beyond bonkers".
Emma has since backtracked on her claims, admitting she'd "let herself down", and cleared the air with Jess.

Our Lionesses are underpaid unknowns no more! How little-known footballers have turned into national heroines - in journeys that have also transformed their lives off the pitch

Their triumph at the 2022 Euros turned England's Lionesses from little-known footballers into national heroines. And if the tournament made them famous, it also transformed their lives off the pitch. From lucrative brand ambassadorships with high-end fashion labels such as Gucci to turns on the red carpet in dresses worthy of a Kardashian, England's female footballers now enjoy more than a touch of glitz and glamour. Once badly paid and barely recognised – who could forget goalie Mary Earps complaining before the last Euros that Nike hadn't even bothered to print replica shirts with her name on them – the nation's female footballers now have a soaring commercial appeal. So as they prepare to face France at 8pm tonight in their first game of this year's Euros – and inspire a new generation of young women with their sporting prowess – Molly Clayton reveals which of our Lionesses enjoys the most luxurious lifestyle. The Gucci model Shoots for Vogue, GQ and Elle Magazine. Modelling for Calvin Klein. Gucci snapping her up as a brand ambassador. Clearly, as well as being an impressive England captain, Leah Williamson, 28, has a catwalk-worthy fashion career too. One of the biggest earners off the pitch after leading the Lionesses to victory at the Euro 2022 final, the blonde beauty has a deal with Nike and has collaborated with global brands such as Aston Martin, Pepsi, Walkers and Mastercard. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she has new advert partnerships with Weetabix and Cadbury, along with six children's books, titled The Wonder Team. With the deals comes the gloss: her recent lavish Mallorcan holiday to an Ikos resort would have set her back in the region of £1,000 a night. She is rumoured to be dating former model and Miss USA Elle Smith – both have posted about each other on social media. Ella the business brainbox With her ever-present fake eyelashes and love of make-up, Manchester United midfielder Ella Toone, 25, often showcases her beauty routine on her own YouTube channel. And with a canny business acumen to boot, Ella has already shaped an enviable off-pitch career. The first England women's player to trademark her name, she's set up her own brand, ET7, which includes a football academy for young girls. The name is inspired by her childhood hero, Portuguese footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, whose own brand is called CR7. With some estimating her worth at more than £1 million, last month she set up her own creative agency, Amicizia, which aims to connect female athletes to commercial and marketing opportunities with top brands. Her sponsors include make-up company Charlotte Tilbury, orthodontic brand Invisalign and McDonald's, with her yearly earnings estimated as upwards of £200,000, fuelled by her popularity on social media. At one point, she was one of the top five most viewed athletes on TikTok. Ella has 737,000 Instagram followers and her own BBC podcast with best friend and fellow Lioness Alessia Russo, with whom she has appeared on the front cover of fashion and beauty magazine Elle. Ella loves nothing more than a red carpet bash. In a relationship with footballer Joe Bunney of Stalybridge Celtic FC, she regularly treats her fans to glimpses of their lavish holidays abroad and spa days at five-star hotels. Lauren's ooh la la lego Proving that every passion can be profitable, Manchester City forward Lauren Hemp, 24, has topped up her estimated £400,000 salary with a sponsorship deal with Lego. Devoted to creating Lego masterpieces in her downtime, saying it's 'the best way to relax', she's even made the Mona Lisa out of the bricks. Her other sponsors include Nike and Sports Direct. Lauren also has the support of her girlfriend, former Liverpool midfielder Ashley Hodson. Together for two years, the pair recently enjoyed a romantic trip to Paris, where Lauren saw the Mona Lisa in her more traditional setting. Shy superstar with an ex on the team Growing up, Lucy Bronze lived on Lindisfarne – also known as Holy Island – off the windswept coast of Northumberland. Her grandmother was caretaker of Lindisfarne Castle and today the outline of that building is tattooed on Lucy's wrist. Shy into adulthood, she was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in 2021. But neither her isolated upbringing nor her neurodiversity held her back. Rather, she's said she uses the intense focus associated with her conditions to her advantage – and now the 33-year-old is one of the biggest earners in the game. She reportedly took home £200,000 a year while playing at Barcelona before her move to Chelsea in 2024. Big money deals followed her triumph at the last Euros, with Pepsi, EE, Klarna and Visa among her backers. Her former girlfriend is fellow Lioness Keira Walsh. Fashion week regular She earned almost £2 million in 2023 alone, according to Forbes magazine. That same year, Alessia Russo's transfer from Manchester United to Arsenal made her one of the most expensive female footballers on the planet. Her contract is said to be worth more than £500,000 a year and her commercial appeal is just as lucrative. She has deals with Gucci, Adidas, PlayStation, Beats by Dr Dre and last month was gifted an MGS5 EV car, which she proudly showed off on Instagram. A regular at London Fashion Week, Alessia, 26, has appeared on the cover of magazines such as Women's Health. The BAFTA TV Awards in May saw her in a £1,295 Roland Mouret dress, right. Revealing outfits... on pitch too! Hair scraped back and with braces on her teeth, Chloe Kelly scored that late winning goal against Germany at Wembley in 2022, famously taking off her top in celebration. Since then, she has revelled in her success with a glossy makeover. Gone are the braces, replaced with a sparkling smile worthy of social media. Her eyebrows have had the Ombre treatment – a £350 semi-permanent procedure where tiny needles put pigment in the skin. She's also turned heads in daringly revealing outfits (cut-out panels are very much Chloe's style) on red carpets that range from the MTV awards to the Baftas. From the latter, she shared pictures from her 'gifted' night at a swanky central London hotel, and her accompanying hair and make-up experience with her 962,000 Instagram followers. She's also done fashion shoots wearing Prada and Versace, looking every inch an accomplished model. Last year she married her long-term partner Scott Moore in a lavish ceremony at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire wearing a £15,000 Galia Lahav wedding dress, with see-through lace panels on each side. Little wonder, then, that Chloe's earning power has boomed: there's been a deal with Land Rover, Nike have made her a brand ambassador and she partners with The Gym Kitchen and Doritos. And this week, she signed a deal with Arsenal believed to be worth £150,000 a year. In 2023, Chloe was the only Lioness to make it onto the Women's World Cup highest paid list, with a claim she earns £933,500 a year. Burberry clad goalie Hannah Hampton – the long-haired goalkeeper with the girl-next-door looks – certainly has big shoes to fill after Mary Earps surprisingly announced her retirement from the squad last month. The 24-year-old Chelsea player has posed in Burberry for Elle magazine and counts Nike and Extra chewing gum among her corporate sponsors. She also works with Birmingham Children's Hospital after enduring numerous eye operations as a child to cure a squint. Hannah was told she would never be a professional sports player. 'I've gone through life proving people wrong,' she said recently, words that inspired devotion among her 228,000 Instagram followers. Her relationship status isn't known. Dubai devotee She never travels without her Louis Vuitton luggage, can often be seen posing in a Maybach car, and enjoys swanky trips to Dubai, staying at the luxury Five resort there. Chelsea star Lauren James, 23, has treated herself to some of the finer things in life since her key role in the Lionesses' 2023 World Cup campaign. While her relationship status isn't known, she's close to her older brother Reece, who plays for the Chelsea men's team. She has commercial deals with Nike, Google Pixel, Optimum Nutrition, Sure deodorant and Walkers. The superstar siblings often attend red carpet events together. But while she is reportedly on £350,000 a year at Chelsea, Reece earns £250,000 a week. Kooky style So devoted is she to tattoos that midfielder Georgia Stanway, 26, not only has around 100 of her own inkings, but she's also learned to tattoo other people. The Bayern Munich star's kooky style has won her sponsors including Nike and an advertising deal with Celsius drinks, who featured on her Instagram page, where she has 433,000 followers. Off the pitch, she's been with Toulouse rugby league player Olly Ashall-Bott since 2022.

France seeking end to years of hurt and internal conflicts at Euro 2025

'I want people to stop asking me: 'Why haven't France won anything when you're one of the best teams in the world?'' Marie-Antoinette Katoto, like all her teammates, has only one dream this summer: to win the Euros. To do that, though, they have to come to terms with a history of tournament failures with the most recent one coming at the home Olympics last year, when they were knocked out by Brazil at the quarter-final stage. 'We have had opportunities and twice failed to win it at home in France. We have to have the humility to admit that,' admits Sakina Karchaoui, one of the team's vice-captains, referring also to the 2019 World Cup on home soil, when they lost to the USA in the quarter-finals. The list of failures is so long that the word 'finally' is added to any question about Les Bleues' chances. France have only managed to reach the semi-finals of a major women's competition on three occasions: the 2011 World Cup, the 2012 Olympic Games and Euro 2021. Repeated disappointments have taken a toll. 'Since we prepare for tournaments a year or two years in advance, when you arrive at the competition and you get eliminated quickly, yes, at some point it also has an impact on the mind,' says Grace Geyoro. 'It can be exhausting, especially when you see the [quality in the] team we have.' On Saturday, they start their latest mission at Euro 2025 against England in Zurich. It could not have been a tougher opening, the Lionesses having the last Euros in 2022 with a coach who also won the previous tournament, in 2019 with the Netherlands. The Dutch are also in France's group in Switzerland, together with Wales. France have always had individual quality. As far as the 2000s there have been players such as Louisa Nécib Cadamuro, Camille Abily, Marie-Laure Delie, Sandrine Soubeyrand and Laura Georges, before the arrival of Eugénie Le Sommer and Wendie Renard. All of which begs the question: Why haven't France triumphed in a major tournament. 'If we knew why France weren't winning, I think we'd have put things right by now,' says Abily, the fifth-most capped player in Les Bleues history with 183 caps between 2001 and 2017. 'I think there's a tendency in France to see football as an individual sport, thinking more about oneself before thinking about the team. That's what's been a bit lacking in the French team.' Grace Geyoro agrees: 'We've relied a lot on individuals, on the fact that one player can make the difference. Now we need to focus more on the collective, because we can only win together.' The team has often been shaken by internal conflicts, whether it be disagreements with the coach Corinne Diacre or players clashing such as Kheira Hamraoui and Aminata Diallo in 2021. Elise Bussaglia, who earned 192 caps between 2003 and 2019, says: 'The group hasn't always coped well, for various reasons. And it's true that at one point it could have had a detrimental effect on our results.' One of the areas of tension was the disconnect between the players from Lyon, who were professionals at the time, and those from Juvisy (later Paris FC) and Paris Saint-Germain, who were still semi-professional. The current Chelsea head coach, Sonia Bompastor, touches on the subject in her book Une vie de foot, which was published this year, writing: 'We weren't on the same wavelength at all, and we didn't have the same conception of what it meant to be a footballer. For me, losing a match was the end of the world; not for them.' Abily, who is Bompastor's assistant at Chelsea, insists that in her day, the team 'didn't realise' the quality it had. 'I remember that when we qualified for the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2011, we said to ourselves: 'Wow! That's great, we're here, we've qualified!' Bussaglia, who finished fourth with France at the 2011 World Cup and the following year's Olympics, adds: 'There are times when the French team should have at least won a medal, if not the title, and it didn't happen. There needs to be a bit more of a winning culture. But it's not just the federation, it's everyone: the players, the staff, the fans, everyone. Around this French team, there's still not enough desire to win.' Bompastor has also spoken about the lack of interest from the French FA in the women's team in the past. 'Nobody gave a damn about the French women's team,' she wrote in her book. 'We used to go and see Noël Le Graët, the president of the federation, to explain to him that the reason Lyon were European champions was because we'd put certain processes in place, and not because we'd gone off to summer camps with a singing coach [referring to Bruno Bini, Les Bleues coach from 2007 to 2013 who wrote songs for the players]. The only thing that mattered to him was our popularity rating and our good image.' There was a feeling by some players that the French FA was using the women's team to restore its reputation after the catastrophic 2010 World Cup when the men's team went on strike and refused to train by staying on the team bus. A lack of ambition is no longer true today, says Eric Blahic, who was assistant coach to Corinne Diacre and then Hervé Renard (2023-24) and was delighted to see the latter end the 'famous semi-final complex'. 'For years, the girls were told that they had to be in the sem-finals,' he says. 'That doesn't mean anything. Third or fourth is not the same thing. You have to say: the objective is the final.' He also rejects the idea that France have failed to go all the way because of a mental block. 'In 1982, when the French men's team played in the semi-final in Seville, when we led 3-1 and ended up being eliminated, people were already saying that it was mental problems. If that's all it was, the federation would have taken action a long time ago.' Laurent Bonadei was appointed as Renard's successor in August 2024 and since then a full-time mental performance coach, Thomas Sammut, has been part of the team 'to break this glass ceiling'. He has made other changes too, dropping three key players – Le Sommer, Renard and Kenza Dali – just before the Euros, saying that 'if it doesn't work you have to try something new'. Bonadei will also have to deal with Les Bleues' misfortune when it comes to penalties in major tournaments. Bussaglia says of the Olympics semi-final defeat to Japan in 2012: 'At the Olympics, in the semi-final, we were 2-1 down and I missed the penalty to make it 2-2. I'd never missed a penalty in my life but I missed that one.' Blahic, meanwhile, recalls the shootout loss to Australia in the 2023 World Cup, when Kenza Dali missed her spot kick against club teammate Mackenzie Arnold not once but twice as it was retaken. 'All the girls had taken lots of penalties in training, in all different forms, against three different goalkeepers,' he explains. Bonadei prefers to refer to France as 'outsiders' rather than favourites, despite having won their eight last games going into the tournament. 'Confidence is good for developing our game, but overconfidence is the trap that awaits us,' warns Bonadei. In Switzerland there is unlikely to be overconfidence as France have to battle against not only their opponents, but their past too.
