Mobile speed camera locations in Powys for June 2025

There are set to be more than 15 mobile speed cameras active across Powys in June, including on major roads like the A470.
Speeding is one of the largest contributing factors to collisions on Welsh roads, according to GoSafe - a partnership made up of authorities including the Welsh Government and Wales emergency services.
Not only is it dangerous but it can land you a fine and points on your licence.

What is the penalty if you're caught speeding?
The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points added to your licence.
In certain circumstances, drivers will be eligible to attend a Driver Education Course, which will incur a cost, but you will not have penalty points added to your licence.
The GoSafe partnership aims to "make people safer on Welsh Roads by reducing casualties and saving lives".
So to keep drivers safe and reduce speeding, GoSafe has mapped the location of every single speed camera set to be active in Wales in June.

A statement from Barmouth Lifeboat reported that at 5.40pm on Sunday, pagers were activated and the volunteer crew of the inshore lifeboat were dispatched by the coastguard following reports of two children struggling at the north end of the promenade. When they got to the scene, a woman who was in difficulty was rescued. ‌ The statement read: "Launching into smooth seas, with good visibility, the crew made their way towards the casualty's location. ‌ "Halfway to the location the lifeboat was stood down by HM Coastguard as the children were safe out of the water and with their parents. "The crew decided to proceed to the location to complete a welfare check on the casualties." Article continues below They said that when they arrived on scene the crew could see a commotion and went to investigate, and they found a man in the sea supporting the head of a woman in the water who appeared to be "unresponsive but not unconscious". The statement added: "The volunteer crew beached ILB Craig Steadman and two crew members entered the water and carried the casualty onto the beach where they carried out CAS care until Barmouth Coastguard rescue team and North Wales Police arrived. "The casualty was transferred into their care and having become more responsive. A young British tourist who died after falling from a hotel balcony in Malta has been named. Kieran Thomas Hughes, from Gwynedd in Wales, fell from a balcony at the Cavalieri Art Hotel in the town of St Julian in the early hours of Friday morning. Emergency services were called to the hotel at about 4.15am, but he died at the scene. The area outside the hotel on Triq Spinola was cordoned off on Friday morning as the emergency crews recovered his body. Local police are now investigating the death. Kieran, 25, worked as a software engineer and had 'a promising career ahead of him', his father said. His dad thanked people for their kind messages and condolences but has asked for privacy, The Sun reports. Siân Gwenllian, the Welsh Senedd member for Arfon, said: 'News of the death of a 25-year-old man from Gwynedd in Malta is truly devastating. 'The pain his family must be experiencing is unimaginable. 'My thoughts, and those of the people of Gwynedd, are with them in their grief.'
