I'm a mum & Primark has become too expensive – here's the supermarket where I got almost 40 items for less than £80

AS prices are skyrocketing, millions of cash-strapped parents are looking for ways to slash costs wherever possible. A few years ago, many would've popped inside Primark to snap up a pile of clothes for their little ones on the cheap. 2 But over the last few months, furious customers have expressed fury over the popular retailer's prices, including a winter coat for £50. ' A £100 price tag in Primark, never thought I'd see the day!', posted a critic, referring to a black dress that Rita, 34, wore to attend the British Fashion Awards. Another commented on the frock: 'Primark isn't Primarking any more.' One former customer, mum-of-five and TikToker Mrs Luckey, has now also stopped going to the high street store, dubbing it ''so expensive''. The cash-savvy mum recently revealed where's been going instead - and how ditching Primark for a supermarket saved her a fortune. Ahead of the summer holidays, the thrifty mother bagged a mega pile of clothes for less than £80 - and it's all thanks to shopping at ASDA. The mega supermarket has long been a firm favourite for fashionistas - and there is plenty of wallet-friendly kids clothing too. During her trip to the store, the money-smart TikToker nabbed a total of 14 pairs of shorts, 14 summery tops, as well as five pairs of colourful leggings. The monster haul, which came to just £79, also included six sets of adorable pyjamas that her kids are sure to love. Sharing the jaw-dropping finds, the mum said in the video: ''Primark has become so expensive. Primark's mini dress is a copy of a £135 designer version - it'll give you a gorgeous hourglass figure & perfect for date night ''So instead of going there, I went to ASDA instead. ''I got the girls a pack of shorts each, all seven of them cost me about £8. ''So that was 14 pairs of shorts for about £16.'' How Asda has upped it's game By Fabulous' Fashion Director Tracey Lea Sayer Take a whizz round the aisles in Asda it is hard not to notice how good the George at Asda clothing range is at the minute. Add into the mix their recent collaboration with fashion designer Roksanda, celebrating 40 years of London Fashion Week, which is full of the designer's signature colour blocking dresses, oversized Borg fleeces and bold stripe co-ords, it is easy to see why the brand is on fire! All proceeds from the range go to The British Fashion Council to help promote young designers, so a win win! There also seems to be a return to quality in the clothing range. 'Style Stories' with fashion influencer Erica Davies is a capsule collection of Autumn must-haves which delivered not only on style, but on great pocket friendly prices starting from £7. Gorgeous quilted jackets, slogan sweats and a chocolate faux sheepskin flying jacket are among my faves. Plus, George at Asda has just been crowned with the Best Kidswear in our Fabulous Fashion awards voted for by the Fabulous readers. Click to buy enables you to shop the whole range online or you can just have a browse while you do the weekly shop. You are welcome! The bargain haul also included gorgeous summery vests that cost the mum just £12 for five - or just £2.40 each - as well as two Moana T-shirts slashed to just £4 on sale. Not only this, but the savvy shopper also nabbed a pack of seven tops for a mere £8 - and more. ''I thought I did really well. The whole hail cost me £79 and I definitely feel I got more clothes from ASDA than I would've got from Primark.'' Raving about the affordable collection, the mum went on in the comments under the video: ''Such nice quality for the price.'' It's not just the thrifty mum pleased with the retailer's clothing range - heaps of other fans flooded to comments to praise the supermarket.

Ricky Hatton 'to come out of retirement' after 13 years for December bout

Ricky Hatton has not fought professionally since a short-lived comeback against Vyachslav Senchenko in 2012 but will reportedly step through the ropes once again in Dubai later this year British boxing icon Ricky Hatton will reportedly come out of retirement for a bout in Dubai later this year. It is claimed the former two-weight world champion will take on Dubai's first-ever professional boxer Eisa Al Dah on December 2. Hatton, 46, has not fought professionally since taking on Vyachslav Senchenko in Manchester in 2012, three and a half years after he had hung up his gloves following a defeat by Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas. The Hitman was stopped in the ninth round by Senchenko and said afterwards: "I needed one more fight to see if I had still got it – and I haven't. I found out tonight it isn't there no more." But, 13 years on, he will step back into the ring, report The Sun. Hatton was in Cardiff to watch fellow Mancunian legends Oasis make their long-awaited comeback after 16 years on Friday night. And having been walked to the ring by Noel and Liam at the height of his boxing career, he will now seemingly embark on a similar return. Hatton was reportedly due to fly to Dubai this week to launch the fight at a press conference, only to be scuppered by an eye injury suffered at the Oasis gig. Hatton is one of Britain's most popular ever fighters, becoming renowned for taking huge swathes of support over to Las Vegas for huge fights against the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Paulie Malignaggi and Pacquiao. The Brit had a perfect 43-0 record before he took on Mayweather at the MGM Grand in 2007, which was billed as one of the biggest fights in boxing history. As impressive on the mic as in the ring, Hatton trash talked Mayweather in the build-up to the fight but could not claim victory on the night, being stopped in the 10th round by the pound-for-pound king. Wins over Juan Lazcano and Malignaggi followed, but Hatton was brutally knocked out by Pacquiao in May 2009 in the second round on what was, for all intents and purposes, his boxing farewell. But a homecoming at the Manchester Arena followed against Senchenko in November 2012 before an un-scored exhibition bout against Marco Antonio Barrera in 2022.

Adolescence star Erin Doherty puts on a VERY animated display as she watches the action at Wimbledon's centre court following split from partner Sophie Melville

Adolescence star Erin Doherty put on a very animated display as she watched the Women's Singles at Wimbledon on Sunday. The actress, 32, who MailOnline exclusively revealed earlier this year had split from partner of seven years Sophie Melville, cut a chic figure in a Ralph Lauren suit. Erin looked effortlessly stylish in the beige look which boasted wide legged trousers and a waistcoat that she opted to go shirtless beneath. She draped the blazer over her shoulders while posing up a storm in Ralph Lauren's VIP suite before taking her seat in the stands. Erin could not keep her eyes off the court during the nail-bitting game which saw Sonay Kartal's fine Wimbledon run end with a fourth-round loss to Russian veteran Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Erin and Sophie first met in 2017 when they were starring in The Divide, a play written by Alan Ayckbourn, and posted their first snap on Instagram together two years later. It comes after MailOnline exclusively revealed earlier this year that the actress (R) had split from partner of seven years Sophie Melville (L) Pictured together 2019 Erin, who starred as Briony Ariston in the smash hit Netflix series Adolescence, no longer follows Sophie on social media, with sources telling MailOnline that their relationship is over. Sophie, 34, is best known for starring in the one-woman play Iphigenia in Splott, and has also appeared in Call The Midwife, and BBC drama The Pact. Erin stars alongside Stephen Graham in the Netflix one-shot drama Adolescence, which centres on schoolboy Jamie Miller (played by Owen Cooper), who is accused of murdering a girl, and has been universally praised by critics and viewers. Erin had previously branded her relationship with Sophie her 'greatest accomplishment', and just last week, she shared how she finally came to terms with her sexuality after years of being left 'unsatisfied' dating men. The Crown star said she'd been been a 'people pleaser' and had boyfriends in a bid to fit in, before one 'mind-blowing' relationship with a woman changed everything. Speaking on the How To Fail podcast she said: 'It was mind blowing and it felt like I had come home, I was just like "Wow, this is a part of who I am that I'd never got to meet" which was just so crazy'. Erin went onto discuss her sexuality saying: 'It took me a really, really long time to finally get to the point where I was like "Oh, I'm gay"'. 'But I think, again, because I grew up doing the social thing of going: "Oh, OK, well, I'll have a boyfriend and I'll do this thing" and I never questioned it'. She continued: 'I never really was ready to carve out that path for myself, even though looking back, I always knew that my relationships with men weren't satisfying in that whole hearted way that I wanted them to be.' Erin, who also starred as Princess Anne in The Crown, noted that the relationship with Sophie was her 'proudest accomplishment' but insisted they 'never went up for the same roles'. She told Porter in 2022: 'She's made me so healthy. I used to sit at home eating a bag of chocolates and now we have like, a kale salad.' That same year, Erin also admitted it was 'gutting' to even question the idea that going public with her girlfriend would jeopardise her having a successful career. The star, who played Princess Anne in the third and fourth series of The Crown, opened up about her own experience as she reflected on how difficult it must've been for women in the royal family to express their sexuality. Erin, who is happily in a relationship with fellow actress Sophie Melville, remarked: 'I felt a lot of pressure to withhold my sexuality.' Speaking to The Telegraph, Erin detailed how landing the role of the Princess Royal made her reluctant to be fully open about her sexuality for fear of her future acting career, admitting it was disheartening that the thought even crossed her mind. She said: 'I'm not gonna lie, I won't name names, but when I got The Crown, I felt a lot of pressure to withhold my sexuality. 'There was a period of time when I was like, do I get to be open about this in order to have a successful career? And the fact that that question still went through my mind, and may still go through other people's minds, is so gutting.' She continued: 'I'm really aware of all the people who have lived years and years and years, either in shame or denial, or just hiding - actors, actresses definitely stopping it getting out there in order to have a career - and I just want to be a part of trying to do something about that.'
