Viineet Kumar Siingh is on cloud nine, ever since he and wife Ruchira welcomed their son on July 24. They were discharged from the hospital on Monday. Viineet Kumar Singh with wife Ruchira
Talking to HT City exclusively, the new father gushes, "Honestly, yeh voh phase hai jahaan main yeh bol sakta hoon I am speechless, I don't have words to describe the feeling. I feel like a newcomer all over again. Everyone in the family is so happy, a lot of them have come already from Varanasi."
A doctor himself, Viineet didn't have to read up a lot on fatherhood manuals, he adds. "There are so many hormonal changes that happen within the mother. Then there's also post partum. We have to take care of those things, they can't be ignored. Logon ko aisa lagta hai delivery ho gayi toh ab sab theek hai. No, we have crossed the first level, the journey begin now. We have not slept in three days," says the 46-year-old.

The story of his son's arrival in itself has been filmy, he shares with us. Viineet's latest show Rangeen's promotions were on in full swing when Ruchira had to be rushed to the hospital, "We had three screenings of the show on July 23. It was all God's plan. Ruchira was admitted to a hospital in khar, and the screening theatre was at a walking distance, hardly 5 minutes. I got her admitted, rushed to the first screening, met all the guests, and left after they were seated. I told the team to tell me 20 mins before the screening ended. They did, I rushed back, met people at the theatre arriving for the second screening, then rushed again to the hospital. This went on, and at 12 finally I told Ruchira I am coming back in an hour after changing and removing the makeup at home. And on July 24, our baby came into this world!"
The couple has already decided upon a name, but they will reveal it in due time. And Viineet, who played a pivotal role in the blockbuster Chhaava earlier this year, has also taken a partial paternity leave, "I am not going outside the city for work, for atleast 40-45 days. Ruchira is the one who manages me, she's my everything- my stylist, manager, who runs the house, she multitasks. Voh risk pe hai isiliye I want to be with her right now."

Saiyaara BO Day 13: Ahaan Panday's movie beats Chhaava, becomes biggest Bollywood grosser of 2025 overseas

Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 13: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's debut movie, Saiyaara, is now the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2025 in the international market, surpassing the lifetime overseas collection of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Mohit Suri directorial grossed approximately ₹ 94 crores overseas in just 12 days, compared to the ₹ 91 crores Chhaava earned in its lifetime at the international market. Among all Indian releases in 2025, Saiyaara now stands as the second-highest-grossing film internationally, also beating Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's Thudarum ( ₹ 93.80 crore). Only Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan stands above it with a towering international gross of ₹ 124.50 crore. Globally, Saiyaara has crossed the ₹ 400 crore mark, becoming the second Indian film of 2025, next only to Chhaava ( ₹ 808 crore). Its total worldwide gross has reached ₹ 413.75 crores in 12 days, and it is now eyeing entry into the prestigious ₹ 500 crore club, possibly by the end of the third weekend. Saiyaara's India gross stood at ₹ 319.75 crore. This will be a monumental achievement for a romantic drama led by two debutants. This dream run is expected to continue for Saiyaara till at least August 1, after which it will face some competition from Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardaar 2. According to Sacnilk, Saiyaara witnessed a 30% fall in its earnings on Wednesday, which is just marginal considering that it is the movie's second mid-week. Saiyaara earned ₹ 7 crore on Wednesday, Day 13. Saiyaara's 13-day total now stands at ₹ 273.50 crore net in India. It will possibly achieve ₹ 300 crore net by the end of the second week. Saiyaara is a romance-drama about Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a budding musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy writer. Through their relationship, the film explores love, loss, and drama.

Saiyaara box office collection day 13: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's film overtakes RRR Hindi version, earns Rs 413 cr worldwide

Saiyaara box office collection day 13: The Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer Saiyaara, which has been playing in theatres for nearly two weeks, is emerging as the biggest hit of the year. The film has made Rs 273.5 crore nett in India in 13 days, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film's worldwide collection currently stands at Rs 413.75 crore. On Wednesday, its 13th day in the cinemas, the film made Rs 7 crore. The Mohit Suri directorial surprised the industry with its massive opening of Rs 21.5 crore. During its first weekend, the film made Rs 83.25 crore, which was quite unexpected, especially since it doesn't feature established stars. Audience appreciation on social media helped the film even further as it ended its first week run with Rs 172.75 crore. Saiyaara's second weekend was just as promising, as the film made Rs 74.5 crore, and while it has registered a small dip in collections in the last three days, it remains to be seen if that will slow down the film's overall pace. Saiyaara is currently the second-most successful film of the year after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which made around Rs 600 crore during its 10-week theatrical run. Saiyaara did not face any competition at the box office last week, but this week, it will face off against Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2. The film has already made more money than Dhoom 3, which made Rs 271.07 crore in 2013, and RRR (Hindi), which made Rs 272.78 crore. At a time when the film industry is relying heavily on spectacle films that are heavy on action, Saiyaara's success has come as a pleasant surprise. While the film is backed by YRF, the producers did not promote the film in a grand manner before its release. In fact, as per director Mohit Suri, producer Aditya Chopra told him that he should expect an opening of Rs 5 crore. In a chat with Komal Nahta, Mohit shared, 'Ahaan had actually been workshopping with YRF for seven years. He was supposed to do a larger-than-life film before the pandemic. But the project was cancelled, because, as you know, the industry changed. Overnight, his pride and 'guroor' was killed. The same kid who was going around telling everyone that he would be launched by YRF was heartbroken.'
