The pair still live together for the sake of their children, despite their split.
Christine spoke out about her sexuality for the first time recently, revealing she has dated both sexes since she was a teen.
The Sun revealed her fling with a leading soap actress earlier this month.
Their encounter came in 2023, the year after Christine split from her ex-Top Gear host husband, Paddy, 51.
The well-known actress, whom we are not naming, has previously been in relationships with men.
Months after their marriage ended, Christine was pictured kissing singer Chelcee Grimes, 33.
It was revealed how Christine got "incredibly close" to footballer Chelcee before splitting from Paddy.
Yet the songwriter's recent fallout with pal Christine recently came to light, with the real reason for the pair's toxic spat revealed.
The former couple have since disconnected on social media.
Now, opening up in an interview with The Mail, Christine has revealed her ex Paddy's reaction to her dating woman.
Christine McGuinness gives update on relationship with Paddy after soap star fling
She said: "We spoke about this after we separated – what are we comfortable with, how much did we want to share – because neither of us wants to wake up and find the other on the front page of a newspaper.
"But it's been three years now, I don't need to know what he's doing and he doesn't need to know about me.
"It just stays outside the home."
Christine then continued to explain that she would never bring a date back home.
She shrieked: "No way! Even if I lived on my own it would be a long time before I took that step.
"I was messaging an amazing woman last year, and it took three months before I agreed to meet her for a date.
Christine has also said she would never use a dating app and meets people through friends, as her public profile is too high.
Christine refuses to discuss Paddy's romantic life.
The implication is they have both moved on and their private lives are none of each other's business.
But could she see herself getting married again?
"No,' she said.
" I don't mean I'm traumatised by marriage; I was just so young then. I didn't understand how you're legally tied to someone if you're married.
"I want to be in a committed relationship, but I want the freedom to walk away."
Paddy and Christine first met through a mutual friend in 2007, when she was 19 and he was 33.
In 2020, she was diagnosed with autism and ADHD after spending the majority of her life confused as to why she acted differently from everyone else growing up.
Since then, the TV star has been raising awareness for it through interviews, television shows and public speaking.

Top Gear star Steve Berry admits he 'never got along' with co-star Jeremy Clarkson and reveals why the writing was on the wall for BBC show once he launched The Grand Tour
Top Gear star Steve Berry revealed him and Jeremy Clarkson 'never got along' during their time together on the BBC show. The British motoring journalist, 61, made the candid admission while chatting during a special interview for Al Arabiya News. The car enthusiast didn't go soft describing his former colleague Jeremy, 65, and said his selfish qualities were what made him 'unique' and appealing to Top Gear bosses. Describing in detail how he first met with the TV personality, he explained: 'The first shoot that I went along on was presented by a certain Mr. Jeremy Clarkson. 'And I'll never forget this, he turned up two hours late. I turned up half an hour early because I wanted to impress. 'He turned up to hours late and the crew were fuming. Absolutely fuming. I thought. "Right, make a point, don't do that because you want the crew on your side."' The beloved car enthusiast didn't go soft describing his former colleague Jeremy, 65, and said his selfish qualities where what made him 'unique' and appealing to Top Gear bosses (Jeremy pictured in October 2024) Steve also claimed the presenter's on-screen behaviour is an accurate representation of who he is off-camera. He added: 'You couldn't act that persona for all the years that he has. 'He is kind of like that, and like I said, even though he and I never really got on together. 'The last time I met him in person, there was a bar, it was at a car show and there was an open bar and he said: "Berry, people know we don't like each other, I'll buy you a pint and we'll stand over there pretending we like each other".' Steve admitted Top Gear struggled to compete when Clarkson and his two co-hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, started work on Amazon Prime show The Grand Tour. 'The problem with car shows is, if you looked at Grand Tour or Top Gear, you have to go around the world to impress people. 'You can't just go in the car park or in the garden or in a kitchen. You have to like the salt flats in Namibia or the North Pole or somewhere like that. 'Or else people are like, "oh, well, this isn't as good as the Grand Tour". They set a standard.' And yet, the motoring legend had nothing but 'respect' for Jeremy. 'Do you know what? I said, again, I said I don't like him, but I respect him. I think Clarkson, Hammond and May quit at exactly the right time. 'It was just on the cusp of them starting to, some of the ideas were coming around for the second or third time. 'There was still an engaging watch, but I thought, when they quit, I thought oh, that's good timing.'
