Comedian Michael Rapaport mocks NYC mayoral candidate Mamdani as ‘Zohran the moron'
Rapaport called Mamdani 'Zohran the Moron,' pronouncing his first name so it rhymes with moron, and vowing that he would not leave his home city even if the democratic socialist candidate became mayor.

'I've heard a lot of people say that if Zohran the Moron wins the election, you're going to leave New York. New Yorkers, if Zohran the Moron wins the election, don't go anywhere,' he said, telling them not to let him run them out of their city.
Mamdani's primary win has caused alarm among Jewish New Yorkers because of the candidate's rhetoric and stances surrounding Israel. During an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker, Mamdani refused to condemn the phrase 'globalize the intifada.'
After receiving blowback for refusing to denounce the slogan, Mamdani reportedly told city business leaders that he would not use the phrase and would discourage others from doing so.
Business leaders are also concerned about the candidate's democratic socialist policies, like his proposed rent freeze policy.

Rapaport, a Jew who became an outspoken advocate for Israel following the Oct. 7 terror attack, urged fellow New Yorkers to 'not let this terrorist supporter, socialist bulls— artist run you out of your city.'
'He's not even from here,' he continued. 'Do not even think you're going to leave New York City if Zohran the Moron wins the election. I'm going nowhere.'

Rapaport noted that even though he'll take a financial hit if Mamdani wins and enacts his far-left policies, he will still stay in the city.

'I'm never leaving New York for a Three-Card Monty playing bulls— artist like you, Zohran the Moron,' he said. 'If this guy wins, we need to blame ourselves. We need to dust ourselves off and make New York great again.'
Rapaport has spoken out against the mayoral candidate since he won the Democratic primary race last month.
In an interview with NewsNation earlier this month, the comedian lamented, 'We are this close to having a person like that become mayor of what should be considered the greatest city in the world.'
'But the fact that this guy is even in contention is a slap in the face,' he added. 'Whether he wins or loses, it is a slap in the face.'
Mamdani didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

‘Top Boy' Actor Michael Ward Accused Of Rape And Sexual Assault In UK
Source: SAMEER AL-DOUMY / Getty Michael Ward, the British actor known for his role in Netflix 's popular series Top Boy has been charged with rape and sexual assault connected to alleged events that took place in 2023. The 27-year-old Jamaican-born performer is slated to appear before the Thames Magistrates' Court on Thursday, Aug. 28 to answer to the charges, People reports. He is currently facing two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault levied by an accuser who remains unnamed by UK police. 'Our specialist officers continue to support the woman who has come forward – we know investigations of this nature can have significant impact on those who make reports,' said Detective Superintendent Scott Ware, whose team is leading the investigation for Metropolitan Police. Ward has not been arrested in connection to the crime and will appear before the court under his own free will. The young actor has been making a name for himself over the last few years appearing in projects like The Book of Clarence, The Beautiful Game and The Old Guard. He also received rave reviews for his work in The A List prior to his breakout role as Jamie on the Drake-produced Top Boy . 'I deny the charges against me entirely. I have cooperated fully with the police throughout their investigation and will continue to cooperate,' Ward said in a statement amid the charges. 'I recognise that proceedings are now ongoing, and I have full faith that they will lead to my name being cleared. Given those proceedings, I am unable to comment further.' Though the allegations against Ward are serious, the deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS London South, Catherine Baccas, has asked that the public allow the actor his right to a fair trial before rushing to judgment. 'Having carefully reviewed a file of evidence, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan police to charge Micheal Ward, 27, with two counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault against a woman in January 2023,' said Baccas in a statement. 'We remind all concerned that proceedings against the suspect are active and he has a right to a fair trial. It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.' Khanna a ‘no' on pardoning Maxwell: ‘This is why we need the files'
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) on Sunday said Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of the disgraced late-financier Jeffrey Epstein, should not be pardoned, adding pressure to release more information from the late financier's criminal files. During a joint interview with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) on NBC's 'Meet the Press,' Khanna said he was growing concerned about Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche meeting with Maxwell, the convicted accomplice of the disgraced financier. 'I'm concerned that the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is meeting with her supposedly one-on-one,' Khanna said. 'Look, I agree with Congressman Massie that she should testify. But she's been indicted twice on perjury. This is why we need the files. This is why we need independent evidence.' He added that the 'only person who suffered political pain in this whole thing is Congressman Thomas Massie for telling the truth.' 'He's got the president's entire team who got the president reelected coming down on him in his district. And it's just made him stronger,' he said. His comments follow Speaker Johnson's announcement last week that the lower chamber would not vote on a resolution calling for the release of certain documents related to Epstein before the August recess, which Khanna criticized. 'He knows that the resolution would pass. I mean, the reality is, we have 11 Republicans: Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, Tim Burchett, of course, Thomas Massie, who's been courageously leading this,' Khanna said. President Trump said Friday he hasn't thought about pardoning Maxwell, telling reporters, 'I certainly can't talk about pardons.' 'It's something I haven't thought about. I'm allowed to do it, but it's something I have not thought about,' Trump told reporters when asked about a pardon or clemency for Maxwell before his trip to Scotland.

Trump should consider pardon for Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in exchange for telling her secrets, GOP rep says
Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie implored the Trump administration officials to do 'whatever they need to do to compel' testimony from sex predator Jeffrey Epstein's madam Ghislaine Maxwell, even if that means giving her some form of pardon. Massie (R-Ky.), who is leading a bipartisan push in Congress to force the release of the Epstein files, stressed that he wants the public to get as much transparency as possible on the late child sex trafficker. 'That would be up to the president,' Massie told NBC's 'Meet the Press' on Sunday when asked about whether Trump should give Maxwell a pardon. Advertisement 3 Rep. Last Friday, Trump said that he hadn't thought about pardoning Maxwell, but noted that 'I'm allowed to do it.'
