NILAI: A woman who holds a Persons with Disabilities (PwD) card was arrested last night for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old boy at a grocery shop in the Sri Palma Villa housing area in Mantin. The incident occurred at around 12.30pm yesterday, when the woman is believed to have suspected the boy of stealing items from the store. Nilai district police chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim said police received a report at 3.30pm from a local woman who claimed that her son had been attacked and threatened by a woman known to her. "She is also accused of threatening to kill the boy. The incident was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) and witnessed by another customer," he said. He added that the suspect holds a PwD card and is believed to suffer from mental health issues.
