French President Emmanuel Macron was spotted giving a cheeky wink to Kate Middleton as they sat together at a star-studded banquet.
They were in the company of luminaries such as Sir Mick Jagger and Sir Elton John at the soiree hosted by King Charles at Windsor Castle.
During the meal, Macron and the Princess of Wales were seen toasting glasses, with the French President playfully winking at her amidst the musical elite.
Rolling Stones' lead singer Mick was joined by his fiancée Melanie Hamrick, while the 'Crocodile Rock' singer Sir Elton was accompanied by his husband David Furnish for the extravagant Royal celebration.
Sir Elton, famed for hosting his own annual white-tie and tiara charity ball, was among the 160 guests who gathered at the King's Royal white-tie event in honour of French president Macron and his wife Brigitte. Both musicians have homes in France, and Sir Elton also has a residence in nearby Old Windsor, reports the Mirror.
Sir Elton is well-known for performing 'Candle In The Wind', reworded as 'Goodbye England's Rose', at the funeral of the King's first wife Diana, Princess of Wales. He shares a close bond with the Duke of Sussex – Charles's youngest son, with whom the King has a strained relationship.
The illustrious guest list for the glittering state banquet hosted by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales boasted names such as Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, former England goalkeeper and current Paris Saint-Germain player Mary Earps, acclaimed authors Joanne Harris and Sebastian Faulks, renowned sculptor Sir Antony Gormley, and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer with his wife Lady Victoria Starmer.
During the opulent feast, King Charles was seated between President Macron and France's Culture Minister Rachida Dati. Princess Kate marked her return to state dinners after nearly two years, placing her next to President Macron and Christophe Leribault of the Musee D'Orsay.
Meanwhile, the Queen Consort enjoyed the company of Mrs Macron and French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu, while the Prince of Wales, William, found a spot adjacent to First Lady Brigitte Macron.
Rock icon Sir Mick Jagger, endearingly labelled "Sir Michael Jagger" on his white place card, mingled with Dame Kristin Scott Thomas and Alice Rufo, a senior official from the French defence ministry.
Breaking protocol due to his vision impairment, Sir Elton John chose to sit beside his husband instead of being separated, as is traditional at such gatherings, with the Duchess of Gloucester by his other side. Suffering from serious vision problems following an eye infection, Sir Elton has faced new challenges.
Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer engaged in conversation with football sensation Mary Earps.
The 'First Dates' frontman Fred Sirieix, brought his charming presence to the scene, while pop icon Mika found himself in distinguished company beside the Duchess of Edinburgh.
In anticipation of a grand State Banquet at Windsor, William and Kate teased their regal attire on social media, captioning an image with: "Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor."
For the first time, Kate donned her Royal Family order from King Charles and accessorised with a lily of the valley embroidered evening clutch. She engaged in conversation with President Macron whilst waiting for the banquet to commence and had art history scholar Christophe Leribault, chair of the Musee D'Orsay, on her other side, echoing her university studies in the subject.
Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as well as Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence were among the Royal attendees at the dinner.
Queen Camilla dazzled in an ivory silk and crepe gown by Fiona Clare, topped with a sapphire tiara once owned by the late Queen, completing her ensemble with the Legion d'Honneur's French sash, Garter Star, and the King's family order.
The banquet featured a menu crafted by renowned French chef Raymond Blanc, beginning with succulent summer vegetables fresh from the Gardens of Le Manoir, dressed with Sage, Raw Tomato, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The subsequent dish presented was a Supreme of Rhug Estate Chicken paired with Norfolk Asparagus and Tarragon Cream, succeeded by an Iced Blackcurrant Parfait resting on a Blackcurrant-soaked Sponge accompanied by Elderflower Jelly for pudding. Buckingham Palace hailed the culinary partnership as embodying "in the spirit of the Entente Cordial".
Continuing a tradition initiated by the King, a unique cocktail was concocted for the event, dubbed L'entente. It's a blend of British gin and lemon curd with a dash of French pastis, adorned with dried French cornflowers and English roses.

Liam Gallagher's tipple on Oasis tour - and it's not what you'd expect

Liam Gallagher has been taking a more wholesome approach to life on the road after reuniting with brother Noel Gallagher for the Oasis Live '25 Tour. Liam Gallagher, notorious for his wild partying and boozy escapades, is now adopting a more wholesome lifestyle on tour. Fans shouldn't expect to witness him downing tequila shots or guzzling pints, as he now has a new tipple of choice. ‌ And it's not what fans might expect. The rock star, 52, has opted for a healthier approach to touring life after reuniting with his brother Noel Gallagher, 58, for the Oasis Live '25 Tour. ‌ He's reportedly sipping apple cider vinegar tea in a bid to safeguard his voice and ensure peak performance. Having previously struggled with vocal issues and undergone cortisone injections for inflamed vocal cords, Liam is prioritising the protection of his voice as he embarks on the UK dates of his monumental tour according to the Mirror. ‌ Fans have spotted Liam clutching an oak-coloured beverage on stage. However, it seems to reportedly be a special tea blend containing honey and other soothing ingredients according to the publication. Despite the singer admitting that his new favourite drink provides key health benefits, he knocks points off for its lack of a kick while on the road. ‌ In his 2018 documentary As It Was, Liam revealed: "I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. Apparently, it's great for everything. Mam has it for arthritis and it's really good for her. "So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem – Hashimoto's disease – so I can get a really hoarse voice. "It makes you tired and your bones are creaky, but you have this drink and it makes you a bit Jumping Jack Flash." ‌ Oasis have already taken the stage at Heaton Park on Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Wednesday 16 July and are set to return to their stomping ground for two additional performances in the Manchester park this weekend. They brothers are scheduled to perform on both Saturday, 19 July, and Sunday, 20 July, marking their final two evenings in their hometown. ‌ The band will then progress to London's Wembley Stadium, where they are due to appear on July 25, 26 and 30 and August 2 and 3. They will move on to perform in Scotland for fans at Edinburgh's Murrayfield on the weekend of 8 and 9 August, and on Tuesday, August 12. The Gallagher brothers will be occupied with the tour until the end of the year, with performances scheduled up to late November. The final night of their tour is scheduled for November 23 in Brazil.

Coldplay kiss cam duo Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot 'all over each other' before being caught

Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and his Head of HR Kristin Cabot were caught in an intimate embrace on the Coldplay kiss cam. The infamous Coldplay kiss cam scandal duo were caught "all over each other" at the gig before their secret was revealed. ‌ Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR boss Kristin Cabot were filmed getting cosy at the band's Boston, Massachusetts show in footage that's now gone viral worldwide. Mr Byron was captured with his arms wrapped around Ms Cabot as they cuddled before Chris Martin accidentally exposed the colleagues' romance. ‌ The initial clip has racked up millions of views online, but fresh footage has allegedly shown the pair snogging before their public humiliation. ‌ In the original viral footage, the business chief appeared completely absorbed in the music as he held his Head of HR from behind, swaying along to the band's live set. However, the moment they spotted themselves on the giant screen, they instantly separated and desperately attempted to escape the limelight... but the damage was done. ‌ Chris Martin, having clocked them on the big screen, remarked: "Oh look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they're just really shy", reports the Mirror. A gig-goer, seemingly positioned behind the couple, filmed Coldplay performing their chart-topper Yellow. An ocean of yellow illumination from audience wristbands is visible, but the smitten pair were also captured in frame, according to TMZ. The duo, believed to be Byron and Cabot, were spotted cosying up with arms wrapped around each other, and at one point, the man is seen leaning in for a peck on the lips. This fresh perspective seems to have caught a new level of closeness between the workmates that wasn't evident to the entire stadium. ‌ In the initial viral clip, a lipreader suggested the tech boss exclaimed "F***ing hell, it's me", as their images appeared on the big screen. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, lipreader Judi commented: "Perhaps the worst thing about their body language here is that they made themselves into human catnip for social media by reacting so violently rather than just trying to style it out." ‌ Byron, who is married, has submitted his resignation in the wake of the startling scandal. The firm released a statement on LinkedIn and X stating: "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will commence a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO." ‌ LinkedIn updates revealed Ms Cabot joined the company nine months prior as Chief People Officer - at which time Byron expressed enthusiastic praise for his new team member. The tech boss lauded her "exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies", which he believes will "be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory".
