Murder victim named as Ayowale Aledejana
Police were called to Monson Road, New Cross, at around 7.26pm on Saturday after a man was found with stab wounds.
Officers attended alongside paramedics and London Air Ambulance medics but Mr Aledjana, from South Norwood, Croydon, died at the scene.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 23-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, who is leading the investigation, said: 'Our thoughts are with Ayowale's family and friends at this difficult time.
'I understand this incident will be concerning and we are carrying out a fast-paced and thorough investigation to establish the circumstances.
'I would encourage anyone who has not yet spoken to us to do so.'

I want us to find that person and shame them." In a statement, Swindon said they were working with Walsall and local authorities to identify those responsible. "Let us be clear: any individuals found to have engaged in such actions will face the strictest possible sanctions, including banning orders and legal action where appropriate," the club added.

Woman, 47, charged with murdering three-year-old girl days after tot was found dead inside home
A WOMAN has been charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl after cops found the tot dead at home. Pippa McGrath, 47, of Austhorpe Court, Leeds, has been detained in custody to appear before the morning session of Leeds Magistrate's Court today. She was arrested after officers raced to attend a call for concern for the safety of a young child. West Yorkshire Police said enquiries into the incident remain ongoing by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team. Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, previously said: 'Sadly when emergency services attended at an address on Austhorpe Court, Leeds, yesterday the body of a 3-year-old girl was found inside. High-profile Channel Nine reporter Ben McCormack is slapped with more than 60 child abuse material offences
A former Channel Nine reporter has been charged with more than 60 offences related to child abuse material. Ben McCormack, who worked for A Current Affair, was charged on Saturday with 64 counts of using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material and one count of using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material to self. McCormack has also been charged with three counts of failing to comply with reporting obligations and one count of giving false or misleading information. He is accused of committing the offences on 65 occasions from his address in Oxley, Brisbane, on various dates last year. The 51-year-old had his case briefly mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday. He was not required to appear in person. No application for bail was made and his Legal Aid duty lawyer Zane Playle asked for the matter to be adjourned to September 5.
