Then, during its second season, the league made some changes, renaming it the NBA Cup, among other things. The Milwaukee Bucks are the current champions, but let's see who ends up taking the cup back home this year.
The format will follow last year's pattern, where each team is set to play four group stage games on 'Cup Nights' between October 31 and November 28, one each against the other. From the group stages, 8 teams will advance to the knockout stage - one winner from each group and a wildcard team from each conference. Finally, the Emirates NBA Cup quarter finals will take place on December 9 and 10, and then the semi-finals and finals will take place on December 13 and 16, respectively.
Excitement for the upcoming season is high, and with the NBA Cup continuing this season for the third annual tournament, fans cannot wait to get back to the courtside.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: 'Something I can tell my son when he is grown up' Jasprit Bumrah on getting name on Lord's Honours Boards

Jasprit Bumrah earned his name on the Lord's Honours Boards after a five-wicket haul against England in the third Test. (Image: X/BCCI) India pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah achieved a significant milestone by securing his place on the Honours Boards after claiming a five-wicket haul against England in the ongoing third Test match of the five-match series at Lord's Cricket Ground in London on Friday. His exceptional bowling performance helped India restrict England to 387 runs in their first innings, while India finished Day 2 at 145/3. Bumrah's journey to the five-wicket haul began on the opening day when he dismissed Harry Brook. He continued his impressive form on the second day, claiming four more crucial wickets including Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, and Jofra Archer, completing his fifer and earning his place on the prestigious Lord's Honours Boards. In a video shared by the BCCI, Bumrah returned to the dressing room with hugs all around. He then signed a pair of shoes for the Lord's museum. Speaking to BBC Test Match Special in the UK, Bumrah said, "It feels really special because we don't come here very often. We don't play a lot of Test matches here. We come here maybe every four years. So you never know how many matches you'll get to play here. As a child, you've seen a lot of Test cricket played here. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo So now being on the honours board feels good." Instead of excessive celebrations after reaching the milestone, Bumrah opted to go about his business. He later revealed he is taking it one game at a time and saving those stories for his son Angad's grown-up years. 'Reality is I was tired. I can't jump around like a 21-year-old. I was happy that I contributed. The name on the Honours board feels good. It is something I can tell my son about when he is grown up,' said Bumrah who was rested for the Edgbaston Test due to workload management. The Indian bowling attack showed a collective effort with Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Kumar Reddy supporting Bumrah with two wickets each. Siraj removed Jamie Smith (51) and Brydon Carse (56), while Reddy dismissed England's opening pair of Zak Crawley (18) and Ben Duckett (23) on day one. Ravindra Jadeja contributed to the bowling effort by taking the important wicket of Ollie Pope, who scored 44 runs before his dismissal. Jasprit Bumrah press conference: Hits out at critics, on Lord's Honours Boards, ball controversy In response to England's first innings total, India faced early setbacks in their batting innings. Jofra Archer, returning to the English lineup, struck early by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for 13 runs. The Indian innings faced further pressure when captain Shubman Gill was dismissed by Chris Woakes for 16 runs, followed by Karun Nair's dismissal by England captain Ben Stokes for 40 runs. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant steadied the Indian innings, remaining unbeaten at the end of day two with scores of 53 and 19 runs, respectively. Their partnership helped India reach 145 for the loss of three wickets. The series stands evenly balanced at 1-1, with England winning the first Test at Headingley and India securing a historic victory at Edgbaston. The third Test at Lord's represents a crucial junction in the series as both teams aim to take the lead. Catch Manika Batra's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 3. Watch Here!

The Kelce brothers spark viral moment with savage intro and unfiltered laughter at celebrity golf tournament

Travis Kelce laughs off Jason's viral golf intro (Image credits: IG/X) NFL superstars Travis and Jason Kelce became the talk of the American Century Championship after a hilarious on-course moment involving sibling banter stole the spotlight. The Kelce brothers arrived at the celebrity golf event in Lake Tahoe on July 11, drawing major attention both for their star power and off-the-field chemistry. With Travis representing the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason fresh off retirement from the Eagles, the duo brought NFL flavor and entertainment to the prestigious golf tournament. Their appearance — along with their father Ed — quickly turned into one of the most talked-about highlights of the day. 'Zero-star walk-on' introduction sparks viral Kelce moment The viral spark came as Jason Kelce was being introduced at the tee. In a playful jab, the announcer called him a 'zero-star walk-on running back,' referencing his humble football beginnings. Travis, standing nearby, was caught on video cracking up at the dig while Jason responded with a smug shrug. The humorous exchange immediately lit up social media, showcasing the exact brotherly banter fans have come to love from the 'New Heights' podcast duo. Both brothers arrived early for the event, sneaking in practice shots on July 10 around 4 p.m. at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. They were scheduled to officially tee off at 9:50 a.m. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo the following morning, paired with former NFL lineman Andrew Whitworth. Travis sported a green patterned polo and white cap, while Jason wore a straw hat and black shirt — casual yet unmistakably Kelce. Their relaxed energy and genuine interactions were a stark contrast to the tournament's more formal atmosphere. Missing from the sidelines were two of the most searched-for names in pop culture — Taylor Swift and Kylie Kelce — who were not seen at Friday's game. Despite the absence of the NFL's most-watched WAGs, the brothers managed to capture all the attention themselves. Fans hoped for a surprise Swift sighting, but the focus quickly shifted to the Kelces' on-course antics. Their lighthearted dynamic was proof that the offseason hasn't dulled their charm — or media magnetism. Ed Kelce joins in as star power runs deep Their dad, Ed Kelce, also joined them on the course and warmly engaged with fans throughout the day. When asked about the rest of the family, Ed joked, 'I really need to get Donna out to this one year,' referring to the brothers' beloved mom. The Kelce parents have become media figures in their own right thanks to the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl buzz. Their presence, even partial, added another layer of relatability to the family brand. The event blends celebrity competition with charity and fan interaction, drawing crowds year after year. But this edition — thanks to a single hilarious introduction — might just be remembered as the one the Kelce brothers unofficially hosted. Catch Manika Batra's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 3. Image via: David Liam Kyle | Getty Images | Robyn Beck/AFP/Getty Images As speculation continues to swirl around LeBron James ' future with the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA icon has taken a different kind of spotlight, and it is not on the hardwood, but at a live concert. James was recently spotted attending Bad Bunny's concert, drawing attention for his appearance as much as for the timing. With the Lakers facing uncertainty and pressure to reshape their roster, the four-time MVP's off-court activity is generating just as many headlines as any potential trade talk. LeBron James was spotted at Bad Bunny's concert LeBron James' appearance at Bad Bunny's concert grabbed immediate attention. In a series of videos shared on social media, James was seen having a splendid moment as he was dancing and having his favorite drinks. The NBA legend recently sent a message directly to the Puerto Rican music star, expressing his excitement for the performance. What made it especially intriguing was that James tweeted entirely in Spanish, which took fans by surprise and led to plenty of buzz online. "Benito! I'm at the Los Angeles airport right now, coming to see you! I heard about what you have planned for tomorrow night. Welcome!" This comes during a pivotal offseason for the Lakers. LeBron opted into his contract for a 23rd NBA season, committing to at least one more year in Los Angeles. But the franchise still has work to do. They brought in Deandre Ayton to strengthen their frontcourt, but lost one of their top defenders in Dorian Finney-Smith. If the team wants to keep both LeBron and Luka Doncic happy and competing at the highest level, the front office will need to act fast before training camp opens. However, the buzz around the Lakers' veteran isn't something any fan of the franchise would celebrate. It was rumored that James could be traded to the Golden State Warriors with his son, Bronny James, as the Lakers are looking to reshape their roster centering around Doncic and a young core.
