Selena Gomez Hit Pause on Wedding Planning Until Taylor Swift RSVP'ed, Says ‘Source'
Selena Gomez wants both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to attend her wedding, says 'source'
Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift's friendship goes way back to 2008, so the 32-year-old singer wants her best friend to attend her and Benny Blanco's wedding, which is reportedly scheduled to take place in September. According to sources, she wants to treat Swift and her beau, Travis Kelce, like 'royalty' on her D-day.
Rob Shuter recently reported that Gomez has hit a pause on her wedding plans as Swift has not RSVPed yet. An insider said, 'Selena refused to send out a save-the-date until she knew Taylor was free. It's not optional. Taylor has to be there.' Not just the 35-year-old artist, but her NFL athlete boyfriend, Kelce, has also been added to the guest list.
The source claimed that Gomez 'adores' Kelce for 'the way he treats' his girlfriend. Hence, the 'Emilia Perez' star would want to make them feel special and 'celebrated' on her wedding day. Reportedly, the bride-to-be has set each detail keeping her friend's convenience in mind. She wants Swift by her side from 'the welcome cocktails to the final toast.'
Moreover, the event might be a private weekend ceremony with 'chill but amazing' vibes. Aside from Swift and Kelce, Gomez and Blanco may also invite her 'Only Murders in the Building' co-stars and his A-list colleagues. Fans can also expect many popular faces at the nuptials. Additionally, it is not confirmed if Swift will perform at the wedding. 'But if she does… it'll be the moment of the night. Selena would love it,' the source concluded.

'The Hunting Wives': Malin Akerman talks juicy Texas drama, and the scandalous moment she 'loved and feared'
Based on the 2021 novel by May Cobb, the show The Hunting Wives (streaming on Netflix in the U.S., Crave in Canada) starring Malin Akerman, Brittany Snow, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit and Chrissy Metz, is a twisted Texas drama. To use a description from Akerman, it's "Big Little Lies meets Yellowstone." Sophie O'Neil (Snow) and her husband Graham (Jonigkeit) have just moved to Texas from Boston, with the first episode taking place as they do go to a party hosted by Graham's boss, Jed Bank (Mulroney). But a surprise to Sophie and Graham, it's an NRA (National Rifle Association of America) fundraiser. Sophie, an ex-PR professional, isn't particularly comfortable in her new Republican environment, amplified when Jed announces at the party that he's officially running for governor. Panicking, Sophie runs to the bathroom where she meets Margo (Akerman), who asks Sophie if she has a pad, adding that she can't use a tampon. Margo isn't shy to take her dress off in front of Sophie, getting herself ready to go back to the party. When Sophie tells Margo she just came into the bathroom to take Xanax, she gives an extra pill to Margo, just before she realizes Margo is Jed's wife. While Margo decides Sophie will be her new best friend, some of the other women she's close to, particularly Callie (Jaime Ray Newman) who has an intimate relationship with Margo, aren't so pleased. Meanwhile, Margo's riskiest move is her relationship with high-school-aged Brad (George Ferrier), who seems more interested in their hookups than his Christian teen girlfriend Abby (Madison Wolfe). "I feel so lucky when I get to play characters like this," Akerman told Yahoo Canada. "I feel like I got lucky with Lara Axelrod in Billions and then this one is in the same vein of just this powerful queen bee of a woman who happens to be quite manipulative, quite charming, but you do not want to cross her. And I just think that's so much fun to play." "These are what we call the juicy parts, where there's lots to do for the characters and some place to go with the arc of their journey. I got sent the eight episodes up front, so I was able to read her journey, which isn't always the case for TV shows, sometimes you just get a pilot. So I felt really excited to get to see what was going to happen throughout the show, which is just such a fun, binge-worthy show, really." Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow's easy chemistry With Snow and Akerman's characters getting close quite quickly in the show, getting even closer as the series continues, Akerman highlighted that they had an "easy" time creating the chemistry required. "We have quite an intimate relationship throughout this show, so it was really important that we got along," Akerman said. "We got really lucky." "It was very similar to the characters in a way, because I felt like I had Brittany Snow and took her under my wing in many ways, even though she's a fully capable woman, but she'll agree, we've talked about that a lot, and we just said we fell into these interesting roles that parallel the dynamics in the show." But with such a strong first scene between these two characters, when they first meet in the bathroom, Akerman said she "loved and feared it." "There's the love of reading that and watching those kinds of shows and characters, and then you go, oh right, but I have to perform it," Akerman said. "But how lucky am I to get to play this woman who has that freedom, and there is something about that where you go, there's so much power in being secure in who you are and taking that on. So I loved it. But there's always hesitation and making sure that any characters like these are ... not gratuitous, and it propels the plot. It pulls the plot along. ... So as long as that all comes together, I'm happy to jump in." 'If you feel like you're safe on set ... then you're able to do your job properly' Throughout the series, we dive deeper into the relationship between Jed and Margo. In one interesting scene Margo expresses to Jed that she's concerned about his transition into politics possibly exploding their current lives, and that their open relationship would be received differently for her as a woman, and he's quick to sternly shut her down for suggesting a double standards for women versus men. "Many things within the relationship are very freeing where you go, this is a relationship that works and they definitely step outside the boundaries of what a monogamous relationship looks like, but at the same time ... there is that controlling element of, he is still the man, and we are in Texas in this show, and there are things that are frowned upon for women," Akerman said. "There's taboos that are put on men and women separately. So it is fun to explore that in this show." But with so many private, intimate, explicitly sexual moments in the show, Akerman stressed that she felt the set was a constructive and effective environment to explore those elements of the story. "We had wonderful directors. We have the most incredible showrunner and creator in Rebecca Cutter. ... It's always from the top down," she said. "Safety and vulnerability, being able to be vulnerable is a huge thing for an actor and I think if you feel like you're safe on set and there's respect, then you're able to do your job properly. And that's exactly what they created on this set." "We had a wonderful intimacy coordinator, which is like having a choreographer, but for intimate scenes. So we all felt like we knew what we were walking into. Every day we have professional camera men and camera women. ... You create an environment and once that environment is created, as an actor, you can walk in and feel like, 'Oh, they've got my back and I know what we're doing.'" The complex backstory of Margo For Akerman's Margo, there are a lot of questions about who she was before she married Jed, what her past was and what her road was to get to this point in her life. "Rebecca Cutter and I, we had lengthy conversations about who she is ... and I think it comes from a past and going, what did she have to do to survive?" Akerman siad. "She's quite the survivor and a lot of times when you meet survivors, they're so in tune with being able to read a room and become a chameleon and understand how to fit in, and how to build themselves up." While the show does, quite quickly, show us glimpses into the life Margo left behind, the most telling moments are when we see Margo alone, because she is someone who really turns on and evolves around others. "I always feel like those are the most telling moments in film or television," Akerman said. "I just think, you know, silence and watching people, letting you see their inner dialogue through their eyes without saying anything, conveying what's on our heart, those are really powerful moments and give so much insight." "Instead of exposition, ... I prefer for audiences to be given that treat of going, oh what was that look? What was that glimpse? Or it's just foreshadowing in a completely different way. ... I do love those moments and I think they're very important, letting characters breathe a bit is way more interesting."

Is Taylor Swift counting down to something? Here are 4 fan theories.
From her 12th album to an Eras Tour documentary, speculation is swirling among Swifties over the pop star's latest "Easter egg" hunt. After a two-year globe-spanning tour and multiple new albums, Taylor Swift appears to be taking a much-deserved break. (She's partying with Selena Gomez! Hanging with boyfriend Travis Kelce! Having a double-brother hangout with Dakota Johnson!) But is that really it?! Fans aren't so sure. Now they're speculating that the artist is dropping something new soon, and it all has to do with a supposed countdown of her previous albums. On July 18, the official Swift Instagram account Taylor Nation posted a tribute to the singer's 2006 self-titled album, which, thanks to a recent purchase of her previous masters, she now owns outright. 'Everything we need is finally right here by our side and to celebrate, stream the album with us at 1pm EDT today,' Taylor Nation wrote in their post featuring a younger Swift. But it wasn't just Swift's debut. Taylor Nation later revealed it was honoring all of the star's albums, with 2008's Fearless getting a 'streaming party' on July 19 at 2 p.m. ET. Fans speculated the times for the streaming parties were actually a countdown — a theory was seemingly confirmed when the account shared a tribute to 2010's Speak Now and held that listening party at 3 p.m. ET. Swifties are sure that the Easter egg-loving artist is planning on revealing something major. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time that Swifties believed some big announcement was coming only to be let down. (Ahead of this year's Grammys, fans were certain Swift was releasing a rerecorded version of Reputation that ultimately didn't even exist.) Still, if we're speculating, what could it be? Here are some of the best fan theories from social media. A documentary is on its way Fans have long been convinced that Swift is going to release a documentary about her record-shattering Eras Tour and the reclaiming of her original work. Swift has done a documentary before: Netflix's 2020 Miss Americana, about Swift's retreat from the public eye and reemergence with her album Lover. Now that Swift reached a new pinnacle in her career, it only makes sense to do another one — and there are some clues that suggest it's more than possible. Fans point to the many cameras on the Eras Tour, particularly on the final stops in Vancouver, British Columbia — footage that could not have been used for the wildly successful concert film, which came out before the tour ended. Plus, the hashtags on the countdown posts all include references to the Eras Tour — and some fans believe it could be to rewind the clock back to Swift's three-hour-long spectacle. Swift is teasing her 12th original album There's nothing Swifties love more than hearing new music from the artist, which is why many are hopeful that the countdown is all leading up to the announcement of a new album. If Swift does a streaming party each hour for all of her 11 original albums, we'd eventually get to midnight — and some fans believe that is when she could announce her 12th album. But it's not just the potential countdown to 12 that's making fans suspicious. As TikToker SwiftieInKC pointed out in a recent video, Taylor Nation is using a new logo (specifically, a crest) that we haven't seen before on the social media posts for this countdown — and Swift is notorious for changing up stylistic choices as she enters a new era. The crest looks very similar to one she's putting on her new merchandise collection, the TikToker noted — and it's the only merch collection she has not assigned to a specific album. So is it possible that the merch with this crest is actually merch for the upcoming TS12?!? We'll have to see! There is a small wrinkle in this plan, however. We don't yet know if Swift will celebrate each and every album. Taylor Nation previously said on X that they would be paying tribute to the six original eras that Swift did not own outright before she announced she had acquired her masters in May. That means the countdown could stop after Reputation, her sixth studio album. Swift is sharing vault tracks In a May letter to fans about the acquisition of her first six albums, Swift shared that she had not yet rerecorded all of Reputation, suggesting that we would not get a 'Taylor's Version' of the album as many excitedly anticipated. But she did say that vault tracks could emerge at a later point — and some fans speculate that this countdown will unlock at least one of them. There are a couple of reasons it could point to a major Reputation drop. TikToker BookBeeDani pointed out in a recent video that the images on Swift's tributes all feature official Reputation colors orange and black. In fact, Swift is wearing a purple dress in the Speak Now photo, but it has been edited to appear black — as has her golden sequined outfit for Fearless. Although BookBeeDani posted before Red's tribute dropped, the pattern held: Swift's Red photos all featured the star wearing black, and the Red cover image was edited to have a more orangey tinge. And as BookBeeDani noted, Swift is slated to drop a Reputation tribute on Wednesday — which also happens to be the same day that Prime Video drops The Summer I Turned Pretty. This show is major for Swifties: Creator Jenny Han is a huge fan of Swift and has featured a ton of her music, including Swift's new rerecordings of previous work. Swift dropping a Reputation vault track just in time for it to be featured on the latest episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty definitely feels possible. It's another merch drop Swift fans may be eternally hopeful for new content from their favorite artist, but after years of misreading Easter eggs or overhyping moments, they're also not getting their hopes up. Many people suspect that Swift's countdown will be for something fun but hardly a major deal — like a merch announcement. The comments section on TaylorNation's IG posts is full of merch drop woes. 'I swear to god if all this is just a countdown to a merch drop,' one Instagram commenter wrote. Another added, 'We are getting cardigans at the end of this countdown, aren't we?' A third wrote, 'If this is a countdown to just a cardigan I'm gonna crashout. I NEED A ERAS TOUR DOC PLEASEEEE.' Will Swifties stay fed with new music or a tour documentary? Or will they find themselves adding another sweater or hat to their carts on her website? Guess we'll have to wait until the end of the countdown to find out. Solve the daily Crossword
