Nicola Peltz has reportedly been ordered to appear in court after the death of her dog Nala.
The chihuahua fell ill after a mobile grooming session in New York. She later died after being rushed to an emergency vet.
The actress then filed a lawsuit against HoundSpa in the Supreme Court of the State of New York in Westchester County.
According to court documents seen by InTouch Weekly, a judge has requested Nicola's presence in court for a deposition before October 30 after the dog groomer denied any wrongdoing.
The lawsuit layed blame against dog groomer Jony Ceballos who Peltz alleged has a history of 'intentional and malicious abuse of dogs', according to TMZ.

Nicola alleged Nala was left injured and in severe physical distress after a routine grooming in HoundSpa's mobile van.
The actress will reportedly have to authorise the release of medical records related to Nala's death.
MailOnline has contacted representatives of Nicola Peltz for comment.
Veterinary records indicate that the dog had fluid in her lungs, neurological problems, and a rapid heart rate before her death, though the exact cause of these issues remains unknown.
Nicola was also reportedly taking legal action against HoundSpa owner Deborah 'Deb' Gittleman for keeping Ceballos on staff, despite there reportedly being past complaints about his behavior towards animals.
The star said she has been left in emotional distress over the ordeal, especially given she witnessed Nala's death after rushing her to the vet following the grooming.
The outlet also reported that Nicola's other dog Angel screams and shakes in terror when left alone now, following a grooming treatment.
The court appearance comes amid Nicola's 'feud' with her husband Brooklyn Beckham's parents David and Victoria.
The pair tragically lost their pet chihuahua Nala in 2024 with the actress then taking legal action against the groomer who treated the pooch before she died
Their eldest child and his actress wife are understood to be at the heart of a bitter fallout with his family, who are based in the United Kingdom while they reside in Los Angeles.
But the 26-year old influencer appeared to make his feelings clear in an Instagram video shared on Sunday, in which he pledged his unwavering loyalty to Nicola, 30 - the daughter of Miami-based billionaire businessman and investor Nelson Peltz.
Brooklyn whisked his wife off for an early morning motorbike ride and captioned the video: 'My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.'
Those close to the Beckhams have now told The Sun that the message seemed 'very pointed'.
The insider added: 'It shows how much this situation with his family has escalated.
'It's very sad for everyone involved, especially David and Victoria who love him very much. This isn't the Brooklyn his family knows and loves.
'This post was like a dagger to their hearts but they will always be there for Brooklyn.'
Nicola reshared the video to her own page and replied: 'I've always got you baby,' followed by a burning love heart emoji.

Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz were no-shows at any of David's birthday events despite allegedly pulling out of the Met Gala to attend (pictured at the gala in 2022)
It comes after Victoria and husband David made yet another attempt to extend an olive branch to Brooklyn on Thursday evening as they attended the TIME100 Impact Dinner in New York City.
Putting on a united front at the event the couple displayed a family photo taken at Victoria's 50th last year which included all four of their children.
It captured a moment reminiscent of happier times for the family, prior to their ongoing feud with their eldest son and his wife Nicola.
While Brooklyn was present at the former Spice Girl's big birthday last year, both he and his wife failed to make an appearance at her 51st or at David's 50th earlier this month.
And while his other brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, took to social media to pay their birthday tributes to their parents, on both occasions Brooklyn stayed silent.

Flaco Jimenez, Texas accordionist who expanded popularity of conjunto and Tejano music, dies at 86

Flaco Jimenez, the legendary accordionist from San Antonio who won multiple Grammys and helped expand the popularity of conjunto, Tejano and Tex-Mex music, died Thursday. He was 86. Jimenez's death was announced Thursday evening by his family on social media. 'It is with great sadness that we share tonight the loss of our father, Flaco Jimenez. He was surrounded by his loved ones and will be missed immensely. Thank you to all of his fans and friends—those who cherished his music. And a big thank you for all of the memories. His legacy will live on through his music and all of his fans,' Jimenez's family said in a statement. His family did not disclose a cause of death. Jimenez's family had announced in January that he had been hospitalized and had been 'facing a medical hurdle.' His family did not provide any other information on his medical condition at the time. Born Leonardo Jimenez in 1939, he was known to his fans by his nickname of Flaco, which means skinny in Spanish. He was the son of conjunto pioneer Santiago Jimenez. Conjunto is a musical genre that originated in South Texas and blends different genres and cultural influences. According to the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, the development of conjunto 'began more than a century ago when Texans of Mexican heritage (Tejanos) took an interest in the accordion music of German, Polish, and Czech immigrants. The ensuing Tejano accordion music, accompanied by the bajo sexto (replacing the European tuba) soon came to represent the Tejano way of life, which was closely associated with working in the agricultural fields. The music remains unchanged and serves as a symbol that binds many Tejano communities in South and Central Texas.' Jimenez refined his conjunto musical skills by playing in San Antonio saloons and dance halls. He began performing in the 1960s with fellow San Antonio native Douglas Sahm, the founding member of the Sir Douglas Quintet. Jimenez also played with Bob Dylan, Dr. John and Ry Cooder. Throughout his career, Jimenez added other influences into conjunto music, including from country, rock and jazz. In the 1990s, Jimenez was part of the Tejano supergroup the Texas Tornados, which included Sahm, Augie Meyers and Freddy Fender. The group won a Grammy in 1991 for the song, 'Soy de San Luis.' Jimenez also won another Grammy in 1999 as part of another supergroup, Los Super Seven. Jimenez earned five Grammys and was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He was also inducted into the National Hispanic Hall of Fame and NYC International Latin Music Hall of Fame and was named a Texas State Musician in 2014. When Jimenez was named a 2022 National Medal of Arts recipient, the White House said he was being honored for 'harnessing heritage to enrich American music' and that by 'blending Norteño, Tex Mex, and Tejano music with the Blues, Rock n' Roll, and Pop Music, he sings the soul of America's Southwest.' 'Flaco, your legacy will forever be remembered with fond memories. We appreciate the gift of your musical talent, which brought joy to countless fans. Your passing leaves a void in our hearts,' the Texas Conjunto Music Hall of Fame and Museum said in a post on social media. Kyle Young, the CEO of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, said Jimenez 'was a paragon of Tejano conjunto music.' 'Whether he was recording with Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt or the Rolling Stones, or working with his own supergroup, the Texas Tornados, Flaco drew millions of listeners into a rich musical world they might not have discovered on their own,' Young said. ___

Parents fury after police 'blunder' led to them losing the chance to locate their missing daughter, 12

The parents of a 12-year-old Ohio girl who went missing slammed police for failing to recognize her during a traffic stop days after she was reported missing. Khloe Dunbar went missing on July 16 near Columbus, leaving her mother Megan Dunn terrified for her safety and desperately launching an effort to find her. But in the week before Khloe was found safely, a bystander filmed a suspicious traffic stop in which police found the child but allowed her to stay with a group of adults. Dunn said that discovering the cops had come face-to-face with her missing daughter but let her go left her 'disgusted.' 'I'm sick to my stomach,' she told 11Alive. 'I have video footage of these officers, and they let that little 12-year-old that was reported missing go. It's not OK. None of this is OK.' Police admitted that not only did they allow Khloe to leave the traffic stop as a missing person, but they were not even aware she was in the footage until it was sent to them by the outlet. 'It wasn't until you sent us that cell phone video that we even knew about the traffic stop,' conceded Sgt. Joe Albert with Columbus police. 'We wish we had handled the traffic stop differently. We wish she had been returned to her parents.' In bodycam footage of the traffic stop, police were seen pulling three people from a Chevy Malibu, sitting a male driver and two women by the side of the road. They then asked Khloe her name and she gave a fake alias and claimed she was 15, but the cops instantly questioned this and she eventually gave her real name. But they did not recognize the name despite a missing persons alert being issued days before, and allowed her to leave with one of the adult women after arresting the male driver. Khloe was eventually found the next day thanks to the cell phone footage, which was circulated online after witness Daeja Rutland said she realized the girl was in the clip. Rutland said she filmed the traffic stop after police pulled over two women and a man from a black SUV. When she got home and went on social media, she said she saw a missing poster of Dunbar and her heart sank. 'I looked at that video one time and I knew it was her... I got on Facebook and the first thing I saw was that little girl's face. My heart stopped,' she said. Dunn said her daughter's safe return was not satisfying given the way the police handled the case, saying that she wants an apology from officials Dunn said she was infuriated by how close police were to her daughter, who she claimed had been 'close to a fentanyl overdose' at the time. '(She was) this close to being trafficked,' she said. 'And the police had her, no regard for any of it. It's negligence.' Khloe was eventually found the next day, six days after the initial missing person report was made. But Dunn said her daughter's safe return was not satisfying given the way the police handled the case, saying that she wants an apology from officials. 'I want to hear, "We failed you and your family,"' Dunn said. 'There was only a 24-hour window before she was found again but that doesn't matter. What matters is that it happened.' Columbus Police told 11Alive that they have launched an internal investigation into the incident. It is unclear if any arrests were made after Khloe was found, and Daily Mail has contacted Columbus Police for more information.
