Dates: 30 June-13 July Venue: All England Club
Coverage: Live across BBC TV, radio and online with extensive coverage on BBC iPlayer, Red Button, Connected TVs and mobile app.
On his Wimbledon debut last year Jacob Fearnley faced Novak Djokovic on Centre Court, having been ranked outside the top 500 a little more than a month before.
The Scot even took a set off the seven-time champion in his second-round defeat.

Now the 23-year-old is just outside the top 50 and has picked up more than $1m (£728,750) in tournament earnings.
"It is a bit different," he told BBC Sport. "I have to keep reminding myself that this is still a really special place and not to take it for granted.
"Coming in as a wildcard last year I was in complete awe and, to be honest, I still am. I get goosebumps when I walk in the gates."
Fearnley will experience another show court this time as he gets ready to open against the much-hyped teenager Joao Fonseca.
The 18-year-old Brazilian has beaten Fearnley in both of their previous encounters, most recently at Indian Wells in March.

"There's a reason why everyone talks about him," said Fearnley. "He's earned that respect from all the players.
"It's going to be a difficult match, playing on Court One. It doesn't get much better than that."
Fearnley has been practising with Jack Draper at the All England Club, with the pair good friends from their time on the junior circuit.
Draper goes into the tournament as the fourth seed, with Fearnley Great Britain's number two in the rankings.
"We all look up to Jack and what he's done, with the rise he's had from where he was," said Fearnley. "It's very inspiring for a guy like me.

"I'm just trying to keep improving. Hopefully, one day I can be where Jack is but the way he goes about his business is hard to follow. He's very professional and the level he's playing is really high."
Fearnley enjoyed wins over Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in the juniors but has taken a different path from those superstars of the game.
Just prior to his first appearance at Wimbledon he graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) in the United States, having spent five years playing college tennis.
"I felt I only reached my college peak after my fifth year," he explained.

"It's a time when you can mature and figure out what your priorities are. I realised tennis is what I want to do and I then put all the eggs in one basket."

Floodlights approved for County Durham football club

Plans for new floodlights at Chester-le-Street Town FC have been submitted. (Image: Google) Plans for new floodlights at Chester-le-Street Town FC have been approved by Durham County Council. The club, located at Moor Park House on Union Lane, will be replacing its current halide lights with new LED floodlights. Advertisement It will involve a slight alteration in height, from 16m to 15m, and lighting configuration, with the 16 current lamps being replaced by 12 downward-angled units. The application was approved by Durham County Council on June 25. According to a statement from the club, these changes will not impact flood risk or biodiversity, as the development falls under a "de minimis" exemption due to its small size. The lights will operate daily from 8am to 10pm, with different lighting intensities for matches and other times. The new lighting system, as outlined in the Design and Access Statement and accompanying drawings, includes lighting spillage modelling conforming to ILP guidance. Advertisement The council has stipulated that the work must commence within three years and must be carried out in line with the approved plans. These include the site plan and proposed floodlighting pitch levels and obtrusive light location plan. Recommended reading Additionally, internal shrouding must be implemented and retained. Statutory consultees such as Sport England, Environmental Health, and Ecology raised no objections to the proposal. No objections or representations were received from the public, with 16 neighbours consulted on the matter.

Ilia Topuria, Paddy Pimblett go all-in on calls for next UFC title fight: 'I want to disfigure him'

Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett appeared destined for an inevitable clash after their infamous 2022 encounter at the UFC London fighter hotel. Ilia Topuria vs. Paddy Pimblett almost felt mandatory when their rivalry first ignited three years ago — and Saturday night at UFC 317, the pair of lightweight stars were brought together once more. Topuria and Pimblett infamously got into a scuffle at the fighter hotel in March 2022 ahead of that year's UFC London event. Topuria went on to make his lightweight debut that weekend when he knocked out Jai Herbert in Round 2, while Pimblett scored a first-round rear-naked choke of Kazula Vargas. Advertisement Topuria, 28, has now managed to leapfrog Pimblett despite having worked his way to championship status in the featherweight division first. In UFC 317's main event, "El Matador" starched former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira with a first-round knockout in their vacant title tilt to become a two-division beltholder. The No. 8-ranked contender Pimblett entered the Octagon afterward, at the urging of both Topuria and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, seemingly setting up an impending collision. "Looks like I could be the champion before I even expected it," Pimblett said on the UFC 317 post-fight show. "He's got brilliant boxing, lad. He's got very good hands. He's got power. When he swings them hooks, you need to get the f*** out of the way. "We've got history. You don't even need to sell that fight. It sells itself. Two people who genuinely dislike each other. You don't really get that. We haven't seen that since like Khabib [Nurmagomedov] and [Conor] McGregor, two people who actually hate each other. Because I hate him. "I wouldn't even want to finish him fast," Pimblett continued. "I'd want to finish him with a minute left in the fight after I've elbowed him 700 times. I want to disfigure him." Advertisement Pimblett, 30, has remained on a steady climb toward the top of the 155-pound division since his hotel run-in with Topuria. "The Baddy" currently sports a nine-fight win streak (seven in UFC), and recently punctuated that stretch with his most significant win yet, a dominant third-round stoppage of one-time title challenger Michael Chandler. While a genuine grudge match between two of UFC's biggest personalities would appear to be big business for the promotion, one person who wasn't such a fan of Saturday's impromptu faceoff was Dana White. Speaking at UFC 317's post-fight press conference, the UFC CEO lambasted his promotion's decision to allow the in-cage faceoff and threw cold water over the potential matchup. 'I don't know who the hell let him in there,' White said of Pimblett. 'That should have never happened. Let's start there. I was already back in my room or that would have never happened. 'My thing with Topuria, his wife and kid are in the octagon. That's not the fight. It shouldn't have happened. That's not really what we do. ... I don't give a s*** if it was fun to watch or not, that shouldn't happen. ... It was a bad call by whoever the hell let him in there.' Advertisement 'We'll see,' White added of the potential showdown. 'We'll see how this plays out.' Considering Arman Tsarukyan's status as the No. 1-ranked lightweight contender and Tsarukyan having served as the official backup fighter for UFC 317's main event, it remains uncertain which direction the UFC goes for Topuria's first title defense. It wouldn't be surprising if Tsarukyan is made to secure at least one more win before getting the title shot he lost out on due to last-minute injury ahead of UFC 311 this past January — especially because if the new champion Topuria has it his way, he'll finally get his hands on Liverpool's finest. "Yes, that's the fight that I want," Topuria said of Pimblett. "With Paddy, I'm really going to enjoy kicking his ass. 'Someone told me Dana was a little bit angry about that [faceoff]. But [Dana] wasn't there [to stop it], so that [fight] has to happen.'
