What happened to Jannik Sinner's elbow?
On Monday, Sinner fell during the first round of his fourth-round matchup against Dimitrov. He went to receive medical attention for his right elbow soon after.

It appeared as if the injury was impacting the 23-year-old star's play vs. Dimitrov as the match continued, with Dimitrov building a 6-3, 7-5, 2-2 lead before he had to retire due to an injury of his own.
While that meant Sinner advanced to the quarterfinals vs. Shelton, his elbow was also not at 100 percent. After the match, Sinner said he would undergo an MRI to "see if there's something serious."
"[The fall] didn't seem a tough one, but I still felt it quite a lot, especially [on the] serve and forehand. I could feel it. So let's see," Sinner said to the media on Monday. "Tomorrow we are going to check to see how it is, and then we'll see."

Sinner's coach, Darren Cahill, did not have an update on the MRI on Tuesday, per ESPN. However, Sinner did hold a limited practice session on Tuesday prior to the quarterfinals.
"We did go out to the indoor courts and just fed balls (to him) for 20-30 minutes, just to feel the ball," Cahill said, per ESPN. "He's going to be OK, it was just nice to get on the court -- it's impossible for him to take a day off."
When Sinner was spotted preparing for the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday, he was wearing a sleeve over his right elbow that covered nearly his entire arm.
Cahill also said Wednesday that Sinner was "ready to go" for the quarterfinals and "he felt fine this morning."
When Sinner came out for his match vs. Shelton, he was still wearing the arm sleeve.

Emma Raducanu proves too strong for Naomi Osaka in Washington
Emma Raducanu will reclaim the British number one ranking after winning her first meeting with four-time grand slam champion Naomi Osaka in confident fashion. The clash was hotly anticipated but proved to be not that much of a contest, with Raducanu comfortably clinching a 6-4 6-2 victory to reach the quarter-finals of the Citi Open in Washington. Speaking on Sky Sports, Raducanu said: 'I thought it was going to be a really difficult match. Naomi's won four slams, she's been world number one, won Masters. 'She's so dangerous and on the hard courts I think she's particularly comfortable. I knew I was going to have to play really well and manage my own service games, which I'm really proud of how I did. 'I was making some inroads in her service games after I got used to it a little bit. I'm really pleased with how I handled the ball speed and the conditions here in DC.' The result means the 22-year-old will once again overtake Katie Boulter to become the top-ranked British player as she looks to secure a seeding for next month's US Open. Raducanu ended Boulter's two-year run at the top of the domestic standings in June but then slipped back to 46 in the world after losing a close tussle with Aryna Sabalenka in the third round of Wimbledon. Her two victories here, though, could mean Raducanu returns to the top 40, and she will definitely pass Boulter following her opening round defeat to Maria Sakkari. It will be the Greek that Raducanu plays next, and she has not dropped a set in three previous meetings. Raducanu was sharp from the start against Osaka, who continues to search for a way back to the top of the game after giving birth to daughter Shai two years ago. A double fault from the Japanese star gave Raducanu the first break in the fifth game and the British player was rock solid on serve as she wrapped up the opening set. Raducanu is without a coach in Washington amid uncertainty over the future of her partnership with Mark Petchey and has only hitting partner Alexis Canter in her corner, but there was no lack of direction in this performance. She was helped to another break at the start of the second set by more errors from Osaka, who created a first chance on the Raducanu serve at 1-2 but could not take it. Raducanu's serve has improved markedly under Petchey and was her key weapon here as she moved through to a third quarter-final in Washington with strong hopes of going further. Cameron Norrie could not match Raducanu, though, the British number two beaten 7-6 (3) 6-3 by American 14th seed Brandon Nakashima. Dan Evans' hopes of another deep run in Washington two years after he won the title are also over after he lost 6-2 7-6 (4) to France's Corentin Moutet.

Arsenal completes signing of Spain U21 defender Cristhian Mosquera
LONDON (AP) — Cristhian Mosquera became Arsenal's fifth signing of the off season on Thursday after completing a move from Valencia. The Spain Under 21 defender cost a reported 13 million pounds ($17.5 million) and signed a five-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. 'We identified Cristhian as one of the strongest young defenders in European football, and he is an important signing for our future,' Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta said. Arsenal, which has finished runner-up in the Premier League for the last three seasons, has been active in the market this summer. The move for Mosquera comes after deals for midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, forward Noni Madueke and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The London club is also widely expected to sign a striker, with Viktor Gyokeres a reported target. The 21-year-old Mosquera was born in Spain and is also eligible to play for Colombia. He won gold at the Paris Olympics with Spain last year. 'He is a young player with exciting talent and enormous potential, who will fit well into our squad as we continue to prepare for next season,' manager Mikel Arteta said. ___ AP soccer:
