Telescent to Showcase Largest Capacity Optical Circuit Switch at OFC 2025

Telescent, a leading manufacturer of Optical Circuit Switches (OCS) and automated fiber patch-panels for network and data center operators, announces that it will showcase a live demonstration of its latest innovation, the G5 optical patch panel with MPO-16 connectors capable of switching 16,128 fibers in a single rack, at the Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) 2025 conference. This next-generation system is designed to meet the growing demands of hyperscale data centers, AI clusters, and high-speed optical networks.
The new MPO-16 version of the G5 maintains the same industry-leading number of ports as its predecessor but now moves 16 fibers at a time, significantly increasing system capacity to a market-disrupting 16,128 fibers in a single rack. This advancement is ideally suited for hyperscale environments that require an exponentially growing number of interconnects, parallel fiber deployments for high-speed optics, and large-scale AI clusters with rapidly expanding fiber connectivity needs.
'Our latest MPO-16 connector innovation directly addresses the scalability and automation challenges faced by hyperscale operators and AI-driven networks,' said Anthony Kewitsch, CEO and Co-Founder at Telescent. 'By enabling automated reconfiguration of fiber connections at scale with low-loss performance and built-in diagnostics, our solution streamlines operations, reduces downtime, and ensures optimal network efficiency.'
Telescent's G5 platform continues to offer low-loss optical connections with optional integrated diagnostics, allowing operators to test links before activation. This ensures seamless deployment, improved reliability, and reduced operational costs for data center and network operators managing many thousands of fiber connections.
Attendees at OFC 2025 are invited to visit Telescent's booth #5507 to experience a live demonstration of the G5 system with MPO-16 connectors in action and learn how it is revolutionizing fiber connectivity at scale.

Tips for Securing Online Loans Securing online loans can be a crucial financial decision, and proceeding with care is essential. Here are some key tips to consider: Compare lenders and terms – Before committing to an online loan, take the time to compare different lenders by paying close attention to their interest rates, fees, and loan terms. Doing so lets you identify the loan that aligns best with your financial needs and capabilities. Check credibility and reputation – Check the credibility and reputation of the online lender you're considering by reading reviews, checking ratings, and noting any complaints from previous borrowers. This goes a long way in providing valuable insights into the lender's track record and customer satisfaction levels. Repayment options – Opt for online lenders that offer flexible repayment options. While doing so, some features to consider include the ability to make early payments, defer payments in times of financial hardship, or request forbearance if necessary. These provide you with greater control over managing your loan. Read and understand the loan terms – Always read the terms and policies. While at it, ensure that you understand the terms and conditions of the loan agreement before signing it. Pay more attention to interest rates, repayment schedules, and any potential penalties or fees to ensure that you're fully aware of your commitment. Consult a financial expert – If you find the terms of the loan agreement complex or if you're unsure about any aspect of the loan, don't hesitate to consult a financial expert, as they are in a better position to provide valuable insights and guidance that aligns with your financial situation and goals. Know the risks of defaulting – You must be fully aware of the risks and consequences of defaulting on your loan. You can do this by getting your way around late payments, missed payments, or defaults and how they can affect your credit score and financial stability. Conventional Loans vs Online Loans Outlined below, you will find a comprehensive breakdown of the key distinctions that set conventional loans and online loans apart from each other: Application Process Conventional loans require a physical visit to a bank or office, whereas online loans can be applied for and approved remotely. Eligibility and Processing Conventional loans have stricter eligibility criteria and longer processing times, whereas online loans often provide more relaxed eligibility criteria and faster processing. Interest Rates and Fees Traditional loans offer relatively lower interest rates and fees than online loans, with relatively higher costs and interest rates. Loan Customization Online loans offer customization options, including various repayment terms, loan amounts, and types, catering to diverse borrower requirements, whereas traditional loans have more standardized terms. Security and Reliability Conventional loans are generally associated with greater security and reliability due to the established presence of traditional banks. Online loans, on the other hand, pose a higher risk of cyber attacks, fraud, or scams but often offer increased transparency and customer support through online platforms. Pros and Cons of Online Loans for Bad Credit Pros Accessibility – Online loans offer unparalleled convenience, enabling you to apply from anywhere with an internet connection. This accessibility is especially beneficial for individuals with busy schedules or those in remote areas. Speed – Online lenders are known for their swift approval and funding processes, which can be crucial in emergencies or when you need immediate funds for time-sensitive expenses. Variety – Online loans encompass a wide range of types, including personal, payday, peer-to-peer, installment, and more, allowing borrowers to select the type that best aligns with their specific financial needs and preferences. Flexible terms – As online loan lenders offer flexible repayment terms, borrowers can tailor their online loans to match their financial situation by including options for extended repayment plans, early payoff without penalties, and customizable loan amounts. Cons Higher interest rates – Online loans come with higher interest rates, especially for borrowers with lower credit scores or those opting for shorter repayment terms. Regulatory variability – Online loans are not always subject to the same level of regulation as traditional loans, which can result in variations in borrower rights and protections. Conclusion The digital age has ushered in a remarkable transformation in the lending world, offering borrowers unprecedented convenience, flexibility, and accessibility through online loans. Whether you seek to cover unexpected expenses, consolidate debt, or finance life's significant milestones, the array of options provided by online lenders has revolutionized the borrowing landscape. However, as highlighted in this article, borrowers need to approach online loans carefully, weigh the pros and cons, understand the terms and conditions, and select reputable lenders. When harnessed wisely, online loans can be a powerful financial tool, providing individuals with the means to secure their financial future with greater ease and efficiency. As we continue to embrace the digital frontier, online loans stand as a testament to the ever-evolving nature of finance, offering borrowers a world of possibilities at their fingertips. Frequently Asked Questions Can I refinance my existing online loan if I find a better interest rate elsewhere? Yes, some online lenders offer loan refinancing options. If you encounter a more favorable interest rate, you can explore refinancing your current loan to reduce borrowing costs. Do online loans affect my credit score differently than traditional loans? Online loans can impact your credit score similarly to traditional loans. Timely repayments can positively affect your credit, while late or missed payments can negatively impact you. Be sure to understand how your chosen lender reports to credit bureaus. Can I apply for an online loan if I'm self-employed or have irregular income? Yes, many online lenders consider self-employed individuals and those with irregular income. You may need to provide additional documentation, such as tax returns or bank statements, to demonstrate your ability to repay the loan. Rivian Q2 sales fall 23%, but EV maker sticks to 2025 forecast of at least 40,000 vehicles

Rivian Automotive's electric vehicle sales fell 23 percent in the second quarter compared with a year earlier to 10,661 vehicles, including its two consumer vehicles and commercial vans it builds for Amazon. Despite the sharp decline, Rivian said July 2 that it still expects to deliver 40,000 to 46,000 vehicles this year. 'Production and delivery results for the quarter are in line with Rivian's outlook,' the company said. 'Rivian is also reaffirming its 2025 delivery guidance.' It would need to sell 26,699 vehicles to meet the high end. But the EV maker said production fell 38 percent to 5,979 vehicles in the second quarter 'in preparation for model-year 2026 vehicles expected to launch later this month,' Rivian said in a statement. Rivian's stock price was down about 2 percent in afternoon trading July 2. Rivian doesn't break out sales by model. EV registrations by S&P Global Mobility show model-level data, though the most recent numbers are from April. Registrations for the R1T pickup and R1S crossover fell sharply from January to April, according to S&P Global Mobility. Registrations decreased 24 percent in the four-month period for the R1T and dropped 20 percent for the R1S. Rivian's commercial vans posted a registration gain of 19 percent compared with a year earlier. View the list Brand future product timelines The EV market is cooling in general, S&P data shows. EV registrations dropped 4.4 percent in April from a year earlier, S&P Global Mobility said. Analysts cite high interest rates and economic uncertainty as key factors behind EV market weakness. A growing list of gasoline-electric hybrid models are also taking sales from fully electric vehicles, they said. Sign up for the weekly Automotive News Mobility Report newsletter for the latest developments at the intersection of transportation and technology. Rivian's three-row R1S faces growing EV competition from Lucid, Cadillac, Volvo, Hyundai and others entering into the segment, analysts say. Also, EV pickups — including the R1T —are selling poorly as buyers prefer gasoline trucks or hybrids. Rivian has advertised discounts in recent months to stimulate demand for its vehicles. They include lease deals incorporating the $7,500 federal tax credit, which faces repeal in the budget bill moving through Congress. To broaden its market, Rivian plans to launch a lower-priced crossover next year, the R2, with a starting price around $45,000 before shipping. The R1T starts at $71,700 including shipping and the R1S starts at $77,700 with shipping. Rivian has announced higher prices for the 2026 model year. The R1T's starting price will rise to $72,885 and the R1S will start at $78,885, Rivian said in June. Both prices include shipping. CEO RJ Scaringe said in May that rising tariffs on imported automotive components are increasing costs for the automaker. Have an opinion about this story? Solomonjeweler Unveils the 2025 Standard for Premium Diamond Rings: Craftsmanship Meets Innovation

Once upon a time, the definition of a 'premium' diamond ring was simple: the bigger the stone, the higher the price. But in 2025, luxury has a new language—one written in sustainability, personalization, technology, and values. For the modern buyer, a premium diamond ring isn't just about clarity and carat. It's about what the ring says, how it was made, and who it represents. In short, the story matters just as much as the sparkle. Solomon Jewelers offers a stunning and extensive collection of diamond rings, crafted to celebrate every special moment. So what truly defines a premium diamond ring in this new era? Let's break it down. 1. Stone Origin: Ethically Sourced or Lab-Grown Excellence The old debate between mined and lab-grown diamonds has settled into a new understanding: both can be premium—if transparency is there. What Matters Now: Premium now means clean conscience, clean cut. 2. Craftsmanship & Customization: The Artisan Era In 2025, mass production no longer impresses. Instead, luxury is deeply tied to craftsmanship and personalization. A premium diamond ring today is often: Buyers value rings that feel like one-of-one pieces, not replicas from a display case. Even high-tech brands now blend CAD design with old-world bench skills to achieve this premium balance. 3. Sustainability as a Signature Feature Luxury in 2025 is eco-aware by default. Premium rings go beyond just sparkle to offer sustainable practices from start to finish. What this looks like: Some of the most celebrated ring brands now highlight eco-consciousness as part of their premium identity—because buyers want their values reflected in their purchases. 4. Technology Integration: From Sourcing to Service Premium now includes digital transparency and convenience. Technology has raised expectations for how premium rings are bought and experienced. Key 2025 tech trends: Customer service is also smarter: live chats, virtual consultations, and even AI stylists are now part of the luxury experience. 5. Certification, Clarity & Confidence In a world where information is everywhere, buyers want the hard facts. Premium diamond rings now come with comprehensive, user-friendly documentation. Expectations include: Premium isn't just about the product—it's about helping buyers understand what they're buying and why it matters. 6. Brand Integrity & Storytelling In 2025, the brand behind the ring is just as important as the ring itself. Premium buyers align with labels that share their values—authenticity, diversity, inclusivity, and purpose. Today's top-tier brands: Premium now means emotional resonance, not just price point. 7. Design That Marries Tradition with Modern Edge Design matters. Premium rings in 2025 often merge timeless silhouettes with bold design details, reflecting both tradition and individuality. Popular motifs include: The premium standard is now timeless with a twist—refined, yet personal. Final Thought: Premium Is Personal A premium diamond ring in 2025 is not simply a status symbol—it's a statement of values, identity, and longevity. It's a mix of brilliance, backstory, responsibility, and innovation. Ultimately, the definition of premium has shifted from what's most expensive to what's most meaningful. Whether lab-grown or mined, handcrafted or high-tech, the best rings today are the ones that reflect the people who wear them—and the lives they're building together.
