Strictly's Dianne Buswell has four-word wedding message for Joe Sugg

Daily Mirror13-06-2025
Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell, who has been in a relationship with Joe Sugg since they were partnered together in 2018, had a message for her boyfriend
Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell delivered a major wedding hint to partner Joe Sugg.
The flame-haired dancer, 36, and her partner Joe, 33 and known for his YouTube fame, hit it off during their stint on the BBC favourite in 2018. The duo shimmied their way to the final while Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton clinched the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
Dianne and Joe's romance swiftly developed off the dance floor, and they confirmed they were an item later that same year, eventually moving in together and snapping up their first property in February 2021.
Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for Joe to get down on one knee. On her Winning Isn't Everything podcast with fellow Strictly champ Chris McCausland, Dianne gave a lighthearted message to her other half.
During a conversation about fingers on the podcast, Dianne gestured to her ring finger asking: "What's that one, your best friend finger?" which led Chris to quip: "It's the one Joe's done nothing with."
To which Dianne replied: "Exactly, we need to remind Joe what that finger holds. That finger is feeling very lonely, it needs something to weigh it down with."
Following the purchase of their swanky £3.5million London pad in 2021, Dianne said they were "playing their marriage by ear".
Putting her career at the forefront, she said to the Mirror: "Joe and I don't really talk about that kind of thing. We're both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other's company so much and whatever happens, happens."
Dianne has opened up about the duo's aspirations to eventually build a family. Last year, the Aussie-born Strictly star spoke about the couple's desire to have children "when it feels right".
She candidly shared that, just like their wedding plans, they're not in any hurry to progress in their romantic tale.
Joe Sugg, whose elder sister Zoe is a YouTuber, was 27 when he met Dianne. He has openly declared that Dianne is his first "proper girlfriend".
In a heartfelt chat with The Sunday Times back in 2021, Joe revealed: "Dianne is my first girlfriend. Other than, like, my pen pal from when I was 10."
He has also admitted to being somewhat cautious at first about posting photos with his significant other online. Explaining the reason, he said: "My audience was very protective over me. But they instantly accepted Dianne, because we were partnered on Strictly, so after the show finished and we got together, they already felt like they knew her well."
Echoing the sentiment on Instagram, Joe and Dianne's fellow Strictly dancer Johannes Radebe left a cheeky comment saying: "If you don't marry him Di, I will.."

EastEnders legend rushed to hospital after 'deadly' attack by familiar face

EastEnders spoilers confirm horrifying scenes for one Walford legend, while the BBC soap also airs big decisions, worrying actions and two enemies appear to team up New spoilers for EastEnders have teased worrying twists and turns ahead for multiple characters. ‌ There's a violent showdown that leads to one favourite being rushed to hospital. One vile character is soon targeting others with his grim behaviour, while another teen finds himself in big trouble. ‌ There's a big decision to be made for one resident of Walford, while one married character is warned against his flirty behaviour with another man. One character, soon returning to the show, makes contact with their family, and two love rivals look set to unite. ‌ Let's kick things off with more drama ahead for troubled teen Oscar Branning, and it leaves one Albert Square legend in serious danger. Patrick Trueman fends off Oscar who has broken into his home, unaware he is the culprit. Oscar is being threatened by thug Mike who he grassed up to the police. As things escalate, Mike returns and demands £5,000 in return for the Branning family's safety. ‌ Oscar initially tries to lure Ian Beale into a business deal to find the extra cash, but Ian refuses. Lauren Branning soon finds out what her brother has been up to, leaving Oscar seeking other means of getting the funds. Oscar breaks into Patrick's home to steal his bet winnings. He's caught in the act though, leading to Oscar abruptly pushing Patrick to flee. But Patrick ends up falling to the ground, leaving him badly injured. Patrick is left unconscious as the horror unfolds, with his partner Yolande Trueman unaware of what's happening amid her row with her fiancé. Having called off the wedding over his betting, will she regret this when she realises Patrick is in a bad way? ‌ With Patrick motionless on the ground, Oscar decides to leave him only for Howie Danes to return home and realise what's happened. Oscar makes a run for it and Howie sees him, while he doesn't see his face so is unaware it's Oscar. Yolande is inconsolable as she heads home to the horror unfolding, and soon Patrick is rushed to hospital. His family wait for news and the police arrive to take a witness statement from Howie, but will he be okay? Lauren meanwhile is suspicious of Oscar's behaviour, and his sudden concern for Patrick. He tries to flee Walford only for her to stop him in his tracks, confronting him with the stolen money. ‌ He begs his sister to let him flee as she riles at him for his actions. But will Oscar be exposed? Elsewhere, Avani Nandra-Hart is still torn over her pregnancy amid her grandmother Suki Panesar's plan to help raise the baby with her wife Eve Unwin. Eve is still unconvinced by the plan next week and is desperate to hear from Avani what she wants, without Suki's involvement. Eve supports the teenager at her 12-week scan, and after she and Avani lie to the family when Priya finds a receipt from the hospital in Avani's jacket - but will the pregnancy be rumbled? ‌ The baby's father Joel Marshall, who has no idea about the baby, is back to his vile ways next week. Ross Marshall takes son Joel and his pal Tommy Moon to work at the timber yard but soon grows concerned for the boys when he overhears some of the language from other workers on the site. That's the least of his issues though, as Ross pales to receive a call from Joel's mum. She informs him that she is getting remarried, and Ross faces having to tell Joel. As Joel slips out to process the news, he's soon stealing drink from the pub with Tommy only to be caught. As Joel's stepmother Vicki Fowler and Tommy's parents Kat and Alfie rage at the boys for their behaviour, everyone is shocked by what Joel does next. ‌ Joel lashes out with derogatory language towards Kat leaving them all horrified, and soon he's being lectured by Ross and Vicki. A moment later on that sees Ross trying to bond with his troubled son leaves him sickened though, as he makes a worrying discovery on Joel's laptop and destroys the device. He's cold towards his son in the fallout, and Vicki is later shocked to discover the real reason why Ross broke his laptop. She tells Ross to take action against Joel before his behaviour gets out of hand. ‌ It leads to Ross sharing a heart-to-heart with Harvey in the café and the former is given food for thought. When Joel apologises to Kat, she allows him to hang out with Tommy. But it's not long before Joel is showing his true colours again when Vicki and Stacey Slater bond over parenting and men. Finally next week, Elaine Peacock is struggling without the pub and after a heart-to-heart with Yolande, she and love rival Cindy Beale join forces at The Albert. Cindy later offers Elaine the job of co-manager, so could there be a thawing between them? Callum Highway's flirting with Johnny Carter leads to him being warned by Jay brown, amid a call from his imprisoned husband Ben Mitchell. Strictly fans reckon they've cracked identity of first celebrity after huge clue

Eagle-eyed Strictly Come Dancing fans reckon they know who the first celebrity taking part in the 2025 series is. Speculation is currently rife, with just weeks to go until names start to be revealed for the lineup of the next series. We really know nothing at this stage, other than that all of last year's professionals will be back, and they'll be joined by two new pros: Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. So as the BBC remains tight-lipped on this year's cast—and in stark contrast to 2024 when Olympian Tom Dean announced himself that he was taking part—Strictly viewers have had their detective hats on. And after Dani Dyer was spotted at the show's studios recently, they think it's a major sign she's going to waltz her way onto the ballroom floor later this year. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. The 28-year-old reality star's name has already been thrown around in the media, so ears definitely pricked up when one Reddit user shared that she'd been at the Elstree base. 'My daughter's a receptionist at Elstree and was super excited that she saw Dani Dyer at the studio yesterday. Something to do with Strictly??', wrote Serendipity21sworld. Instantly getting excited, Britishloozerr commented under the post: 'She is rumoured actually! I guess she will be on it, she'll be good'. 'i've heard her name floating around so thats brill news x', added Quick-Carob-2037. Meanwhile, a sceptical strictly_brotherhood pointed out: 'The celebs won't be at Elstree yet', leading to ab979 arguing it's still a possibility. 'Actually, last year the celebs did their costume fittings before they were announced, so it's possible she could be at elstree for that', they said. Dani, the daughter of Danny Dyer, has long been rumoured to be a 2025 Strictly star, with The Sun claiming in May that she'd signed a pre-show contract and was ironing out a fee. A source told the publication at the time: 'Bosses are thrilled she's agreed to take part and are ironing out her fee. 'She's bubbly, down-to-earth, and straight-talking, and producers reckon she'll make an ideal contestant—not to mention the bonus of having Jarrod [Bowen] and dad Danny in the audience supporting her.' Dani tied the knot with West Ham footballer Jarrod, 28, in the spring with a lavish ceremony. Looking gorgeous in a £10,000 dress, the former Love Islander got married in the Buckinghamshire countryside, surrounded by her nearest and dearest, including her three young children. Also there to celebrate her nuptials was, of course, dad Danny, with whom Dani has worked on several projects, from TV to podcasting. The dad and daughter duo are no strangers to the small screen; hence, Dani's reported Strictly signing would be far from the first time she's pushed herself out of her comfort zone in front of the nation. Jake Brown Tom Parker-Bowles Ashley Cain Stacey Solomon Miranda Hart Yinrun Huang Angellica Bell While she became known to everyone in 2018's Love Island, she's since appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox and Celebrity MasterChef and co-presented MTV's True Love or True Lies. As well as her Italian travel show with her famous father, she had her own soul-baring anxiety documentary in 2023, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief in 2019. Some may say this makes her perfect Strictly contestant material, which is pretty much the opposite of her dad, who has made it clear he will never do it. The 47-year-old previously revealed that he gets the call series after series, telling The Sun in his typical no-nonsense fashion: 'I get offered to do Strictly every year, and it's not for me. I've got no desire to be mincing around in sequins.' More Trending As for the rest of Strictly 2025, it remains to be seen who will be entering the ballroom. However, other rumoured celebs include The Traitors winner Jake Brown, Queen Camilla's eldest son Tom Parker-Bowles, former footballer Ashley Cain, TV presenter Stacey Solomon, and comedy favourite Miranda Hart. The BBC declined to comment. Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One in autumn. Got a story? Inside Celtic hero's bizarre feud with James Buckley as Inbetweeners star declares ‘we're at WAR'

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JAMES BUCKLEY and Joe Hart are anything but football friends. The Inbetweeners star, who played Jay Cartwright in the popular English comedy series, has revealed he has declared WAR on the Celtic hero - for damaging his podcast set. Sign up for the Celtic newsletter Sign up 4 James Buckley wasn't impressed with Joe Hart 4 He and his Scottish wife Claire demanded an apology from the football star 4 He eventually apologised on social media after weeks of asking 4 But he couldn't resist another cheeky pop Buckley, 37, is now making a name for himself away from acting and in the world of YouTube and podcasting with his Scottish wife Claire. Two podcasts they have started together include In Sickness and in Health, and At Home With The Buckleys. And in their most recent episode of the latter, the pair took aim at Hart for his antics while filming his own podcast Footballers Unfiltered - in the same studio as the Buckleys. They now share a set down south and have locked horns in recent weeks over the retired goalkeeper's escapades. Back in May the couple jokingly slammed the former Celtic stopper for 'wrecking' their set while filming his own show. Since then they have both continuously aimed digs at Hart for the incident on various episodes, demanding an apology for the damage. And this week, Hart finally delivered. Taking to social media, he posted a video saying sorry for the damage he caused but couldn't resist a parting shot in the clip - as he BOOTED a stuffed teddy of Jay from the Inbetweeners. And that was the last straw for the actor turned podcaster as he took aim at the retired goalie - albeit tongue in cheek - with a message in their latest show. Addressing the video of Hart, he said: "We're at war by the way. Now we share a studio space with the goalkeeper Joe Hart. BBC Sport pundit shows off shock new look with fans convinced he has had hair transplant "Is he still playing?" Claire then chimed in and had the podcast crew in hysterics with her comment, saying: "Surely not. Not at that age!" James continued: "He did break our set a little bit. We called him out on it and he sent us a little video - I think it's an apology video. "It's supposed to be an apology video and he picks up our little Jay doll there and boots it across the room very hard and very aggressively. "I just thought 'let's go' and I'll tell you something Joe Hart, if you kicked like that when you were at Man City then Pep (Guardiola) might not have dropped you. "War has been declared and we will keep you updated. "We're going to brainstorm and put some thought and money into this." "Maybe just as a joke we arrange someone to tie him up and throw him into the back of a van or something like as a joke."
