Muscat: In a tragic incident, two individuals drowned in Wadi Al Hawqain in Rustaq, South Al Batinah Governorate, and their bodies have been recovered, said the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA).
CDAA confirmed that rescue teams responded to the incident. In response. CDAA urges the public to avoid swimming in undesignated areas to prevent future tragedies.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) revealed that the women were lured under false pretences and coerced into prostitution. During the operation conducted in the Wilayat of Bausher, authorities discovered six women of Bangladeshi, Thai, and Laotian nationalities at the suspects' residence. The women were reportedly found engaging in acts deemed contrary to public morals and decency. Law enforcement officials emphasised that legal procedures are underway for all parties involved.
